Seriously, if you put a bit of all thread down a bar and tighten it up the bar is stronger.

Imo the steerer takes the tortion, the bolt takes the tention. I'd think it'll be stronger. Also looking at the illustration, the highest load point will be the steerer. If you imagine that as a bent bar that your trying to straighten, the middle bit will bend first

So the tention/tortion argument of say reinforced concrete has no bearing here?

I always had issues with starnuts on my bmx, I'm with mathew on finding somthing stronger. I thought this, it will work if done carfully and the insert is the bang on size.

Doubt you'd get interference fit to work, unless you've got a big ass press. Personally I'd just bond it, 3m panel bond would work well

sorry.. naff all to do with your post, I just wanted you to get a notification I've just finished re-trimming a dash in a 944 and found a random bulb in a holder dangling around It comes from the radio harness part of the loom, Any clue where that should go? its this badboy. Its not part of the heater controls, which would be the obvious place. I'm at a loss checked most of the diagrams on line and I can't aee it anywhere.

Ahh f**k yeah, I remember that bit I thought that the narration during that bit was just talking genericly about the couples, and which were the parents to be of the main character. Didn't pick up on the fact that he was making a choice. Still don't remember that :/ I thought it was more arrrregh.. dead I'd go with the ADD to be fair.
