  1. soo many times over the years I've had stuff like that happen a few of my faves were when some guy cut me up in his car, got out and demanded I put my bike in the boot of his car. ( in the middle of rush hour traffic in mosley village ) I put my bike in his boot alright, I just didn't wait for him to open it!! And I had one where three lads tried to knock me off as I was going down a hill (I managed to stay on luckily)they were shouting "gimme yer bike" long story short I knew one of them so when I saw him alone I put my bike down in fromt of him and said take it, he ran off... and came back with the biggest gang you could imagine!! Like 20 strong, in a matter of minutes.
  2. My missus has broke hers 5 times now.. I could do one in my sleep :/ Easy enough to f**k up replacing one though, fiddley little twats if your in..
  3. i guess as long as you wrap the spoke the correct way so the tention is pushing downwards it'll be ok.
  4. I'm guessing if there is any exposed area of the snail cam (not hidden by the dropout) that you could just drill a hole tthrough it and set the spoke accordingly??
  5. The owner seemed genuine and so did his reason for selling it. Of course I tried a haggle but he was having non of it! He's also sent several texts after i told him what happened, asking if I was ok ect. I test drove it for abput 2-3 miles too, aside from a wheel bearing whine it was fine, no knocks, bangs rattles didn't hang about either. I managed to get off the dual carrageway in the most perfect spot... right in front of a huge puddle, so I went straight in and doused most of the fire. The damage was confined to the lower part of the engine bay, hard to tell the full extent untill I get it recovered back to the wprkshop. Deffo a new engine ang turbo required, I was going at a 'moderate' pace when it blew
  6. Only just able to bring myself to talk about it. So I bought the saab.. on the way home the engine blew up and then it caught fire :'(
  7. My echo does it occasionaly, I think its normalish. It got worse when the chain was too tight or when the line was out. Can't hurt to clean it out like dan said.
  8. After the ribbing I got last time.. this (And I still hate 04's)
  9. You've seen a lot of excrement.. I've seen enough shit for two lifetimes
  10. Is it wrong that I want to see this with ogre's parts on it? (Bike parts that is )
  11. There's a 9 5 3.0 v6 turbo griffin on gumtree for 700.. I bet spares for that bad boy are hard to get now. I still got a little wet when I saw it though, shame its not an estate. Hard to believe the prices are sooo low. I'm only after a run around for the next year or so, hopfully I won't need any parts
  12. cool it seemed overly cheap to me, thought I'd better ask around. From memory its got 145k motorway miles on the clock. dunno about the sump but I can sort that easy enough. Should be taking a look tomorrow
  13. Anyone know.. whats the right money for a 02 saab 9 5 hot aero estate? Good condition, history, leathers, tt till 2015, recent money spent ect.. I want to give the guy 650-700, think he's up for it winner or not?
  14. It'll be a mess by vertue of removing the paint. Its doable but I'd guess they're tempered?? if they are the weld area will be annealed, would you risk it on a brake mount? Is the steerer tube one piece?
  15. Have you compared the radius of your rims against anything else? My tryall rims are bigget than my echo, I need a crow bar to change the tyres on the tryall and a slight breeze will take the tyre off the echo. Guess there are small variances in rims and tyres. maybe your on the wrong end of the scale with your paring, -rim dia +tyre dia?
  16. Uurgh, dont get me started again I might actually jiggle the consoles around and put the wii in the kids room. We've got netflix on wii, ps3, ps vita (when it was alive) two iphones, galaxy note, ipad, laptop.. @ no extra cost! I can see why old billy boy isn't scratching.

    Films!?

I watched bug last night. Not what I thought it would be about and 50/50 on whether I liked it or not, leaning toward not. It dragged on in parts, and became predictable half way through. Subject matter was differnt from the norm though.
  18. f**kit, stay as you are! You have me in bits
