  1. learn on the bike you've got, if a fourplay is gonna be an upgrade from the bike you've got now, you'll probably progress quicker
  2. flat bars are horrible! at least get riser bars buddy! they'll probably change your geo for the better and you can always adjust the bars a bit too
  3. green 24" rims, recommendations?

yeah but i want something thats gonna be strong as well, and i dont really like dmr stuff.... not being fussy, i just dont like them much. also there cheaper rims and gonna be cheap for a reason... i can spend as much as i want if its gonna be the best kit. also the green ones on there are discontinued anyway, thanks though :P

im gonna have to try find an alternative i guess, i could get some black atomlab pimps because i think my dad knows a place where they can anodise stuff so rims would probably be no problem, who knows..... and im ordering my skye frame kit today so thats something to look forward too! :D

  8. for manuals you first need to find your balance point, it'll feel a bit different from rear wheel hops but the way i do manuals is by doing a small pedal kick and pull the front up. you can just lean and pull up but ive got a heavy front end and struggle to do them properly. for bunny hops i practised flicking the back of the bike up my "hooking" the pedals with my toes, you sorta point your feet down to the floor a bit and flick backwards, and up in one movement. thats how to lift the back, then simply do that at the same time as lifting the front except lift the front slightly before you lift the back. its a bit hard to explain but just take each thing slowly and focus on perfecting each thing, rather than nailing the trick first time, that's how it becomes effortless and a whole lot smoother hope that helps buddy
  9. i predict ill be getting "counter arguments" now... haha
  10. brakes are personal choice at the end of the day, discs you'll usually have just a sudden stop and not much feel, but vee's and HS33 you get a bit of feel for them, but they don't work as well on the front as discs in my opinion. I have a maggie on the back and a disc on the front, i find it easier to do front wheel stuff like pivots, controlled nose manuals and up to fronts n stuff, but pads on the front are a bit strange for me. doesnt mean discs are bad, just what you prefer but at the end of the day, its what you wanna use hope that helps or you even understand what i mean! i cant explain things properly to save my life EDIT: when i say "feel" with pads i mean its less of a sudden stop but they're not shit brakes at all, just give both a try. discs you have more modulation which is like control so to speak. hope that makes sense, i tried haha
  11. anyone know where to get a mk1 skye frame kit that's in good condition and original paint? might be hard but anybody know?

no worries, its a disc only, expect an order soon ;)

  12. my buddy's got them on his dh bike, but the levers feel too short and don't feel right for trials use... they'd probably work perfectly for trials use and they're incredibly powerful, but i just don't like the levers... also its a lot smaller in person than in pictures, but if you could find somewhere to test one, i'd try that
  13. elements look similar to the older fourplays.... thats what i was thinking fox
  14. get a small phone with a wide case, ive got a crappy blackberry but i don't need anything flashy, all it does is communicate and play music when im riding and because there so cheap mine gets replaced for free if anything happens to it anyway
  15. Anyone know when the inspired in Barcelona vid comes out? :)
