  1. had hell of a mixed day with the car today. Got up silly early, and recieved the full rath of a hail storm, ending up in this: Spun it, ended up backwards up a grass verge. pulled over in the nearest lay-by, either got a puncture or pulled the tyre of the rim. at that point, thought i better get some decent wheels for it. Trip to scrap yard, got the correct airbag module for it. disconnected the battery, hoped for the best and plugged it in. No explosions, and after ages f**king around with 10mm nuts under the dash, the airbag light is finally out!!! got some new wheels for it (2nd hand) 18's momo's. they could do with a refurb as the paint has pealed off, but feel alot better on the road than the standard steels.... the front wheels sit perfectly in the arches. need some centering plates for the rear and raising slightly to get them sitting right, but getting there!
  2. yes and no. with higher profile tyres, you'll benefit from more camber as the tyre will roll more. But considering your only dropping a size, i doubt it'll make a notisable difference
  3. i was going to make a similar one by destroying the fabric/padding from the center headrest on the rear seats
  4. thats the thing though, most car's have crumple zones, so the front end is meant to fold in to stop your body from having to go through all the shock of crashing. But yeah, that still looks horrific
  5. Wired to a temperature relay from maplins
  6. Long story short; Like a week ago Jardo was slating people that travel saying they turn into knobs :L
  7. Geo? That looks like some stupidly high bb!
  8. Had an awesome moment on the way home today, where i switched the radio off, wound the windows down and listened to the DB9 i was following..... Think i had a semi
  9. plus you got to take in account they'll be less drag on the engine
  10. It'll be fine. Bit heavy when in car parks, going slow, ect. But once your doing any sensible speed, it wont be noticeably heavier
  11. Everything? only thing ive ever had to pay surcharge on is driveshafts and calipers?
  12. you better get pictures of the rear one when you fit it, its on my shopping list
  13. Like a 20mm difference in hose diameter?
  14. Got a bit done to mine today. Tried fitting the pancake pipe i recieved, that was a massive fail Fitted a 2nd hand passenger arch lining, mine had a bit missing Also replaced the rear wiper motor as the washer leaked. it still leaks, but now only from where the hose connects to the motor, rarther than just everywhere.
  15. does the 4wd drive quattro downpipe hang lower than a normal pd vag? if so, it might be ideal for me!
  16. Nothing wrong with your weld, thought it was done with a tig to be honest! guess ive spent too long with a cheap mig welder and pub gas
  17. the blue aux is for steering wheel controls, fitted them to my astra several months back
  18. and shes fitted! ended up having to buy some superpro bushes as i buggered the ones up that came with it. Honestly the difference is like night and day, SO much more stable through the corners and at speed And David, i just used a crow bar to compress it enough for the bolt to catch
  19. Post his address so we all can send him a big dirty shit in a box
  20. plan for the weekend: (as well as the 25mm eibach front arb) Anyone seen this? i thought the old bushes had duct tape in them, so i pealed it out, it looks like it was a part of the bush? is it some anti-friction material?
  21. i 100% agree with you to be honest. We probably do it because we havn't got the balls to tell them they're wrong. We'd rarther sit here and let people die, then deal with the conflict that going against their religion causes.
  22. If they want to die because of their beliefs, then thats fine by me, i just feel bad for the baby as they dont have a say in the matter
  23. Not refering to this by any chance?
