  1. nothing like abandoning your car in the middle of the road
  2. My dad brought a moto trial bike today, had great fun playing around on it today even if i did end up in a fence at one point
  3. if the clutch feels fine, it's more or likely one of the gearlinkage bushes/joints gone?
  4. Brown wires the standard earth system mate
  5. well you pissed on someones fireworks
  6. the rotor tips wear quickly, so they need rebuilding often. I've never found them that fast either to be honest.
  7. well this kinda happened today: all i need is disks and pads, and i'll have everything for my 312mm brake upgrade!
  8. Spaced my rear wheels out a bit, sitting much better in the arches: Also managed to pick up these little beaut's yeaturday. 54mm ATE Calipers with 288mm carriers Best tenner ive spent in a long time!
  9. as much as i hate to agree with Jardo, i've been in the same situation. I got i'd for alcohol, and the woman serving me point blankly said : 'i know your over 18, but because you look under 25, ill have to see some id' i mean, i always carry my driving license with me for id, but for someone to say they know im over the legal age to buy alcohol, but still id me because i dont look 7 years older than the legal age is a bit of a piss take!
  10. bb5's and 7's are savage! generally, cable disks feel a bit pants on the rear due to the cable length. so if you got yourself a decent cable and ran it right, i cant see any problems
  11. which part? size/weight? I've posted a fairly large/heavy rear siliencer for £20 ish before
  12. I just accidently a full 2.5" stainless steel exhaust
  13. Jardo, you got pictures of where you drilled through the bulkhead for the internal gearchange? I'm semi tempted to do it to mine for various reasons, but it looks like my heater's ducting will be in the way colour matching the blanks would make it look alot better?
  14. i saw a 'new' land rover discovery with clean, shiny paint and straight panels the other day..... it just looked wrong
  15. The wheels look shiny, the rest of it looks like...... well a beaten up land rover
  16. Back to actual cars 180k, woop woop (apart from the exhaust massively leaking and alot of play in the rack )
  17. Isn't it just taking pre-loading your tyre to the next level? hardly see it as cheating, you have to put the effort in to get it out
  18. try loosing the lever pivot bolt, see if it makes a difference? On magura's, if they're too tight, it causes friction on the side of the lever, which could cause this
  19. Just make sure you don't pass out in the process
  20. Did a bit to my car today. Replaced the thermostat as it's overcooling, i suspected it had a stat from a petrol engine. it didnt, the old one was just f**ked! Glad i did it, notised this: all cleaned out: Warning light works! Running at the correct temperature now! Also made a socket for lenso's hub caps for a mate:
  21. are they the clear pads? if so, i remember them ebing quite good on a decent grind, they just didnt last long
  22. *insert insults about pussy's wearing gloves
  23. i finally stopped being a pussy, put up with the rain and fitted my inlet manifold: Need to change the TIP pipe as it's no-where near close to the original mounting holes, and not happy with the rubber hose and sprung clips, more on the to do list! TIP out of the way the old manifold off, nice and clean! new manifold on: Thread was stripped, so bodge: old hose jammed on: The difference is like night and day. Going from a clogged standard manifold to a clean, larger bore one has made hell of a difference. It feels like there is more torque across the entire range
