  1. finally some bloody success today:
  2. So far im making my car worse, should i leave?
  3. what a f**king day ive had! had to work outside the pisser, because the tree kept me sheltered. The reason why the old exhaust sounded like a tractor: The current state of the interior of my car: What a supprise, the new exhuast doesnt fit: Managed to get the gear cables through the bulkhead though, just need to mount the shifter and get some bungs for the holes: And heres a picture of some step drill bits, because i remember someone on here loves them
  4. Looking good Jardo. Love the 'Mobile : you must be kidding' got the day off tomorrow. 4 day weekend. plan is internal gearshift mount and full 2.5" stainless steel exhaust. Cant wait
  5. I looked at that, and all i could see was the ripples in the roof
  6. guess what turned up in the post today....
  7. arn't you only ment to pre-load hollowtech 2 bb's up to like 5ft/lb? surely it wont be on there that tight?
  8. ha ha, nothing mate. i only wrote it to see if my physo of an ex still checks trials-forum.... she does
  9. Doesnt beat ukmail's 'next day' delivery:
  10. it understeers and lights the tyres up like a bitch :L if rainbird could pull his finger out and send me that rARB i dont think the handling issues are just down to having a too stiff fARB. with such a stiff fARB and coilovers, i doubt i need that much negative camber, so i think thats the main issue......
  11. question for Adam/Prawn/the vag gang. i've been thinking recently that part of the reason of having very little grip on the front end is to too much negative camber. Have 18" wheels, low profile tyres (225/40/18) 25mm eibach fARB, lowered on coilovers. sounds like a plausible diagnostics?
  12. Meeting a Lass tomorrow who i met last saturday. We've been speaking every day since and she seems like a lovely person. it seems simple, but i've never been a confident person, so its a right win in my book!
  13. Looks like the inside of the cranks are threaded, so i guess you'd need a crank extractor?
  14. its for a 34T max, so it's probably far too big to a 22T. But it wouldnt take much to modify/make it shorter.
  15. i meant that kind of style, i know its huge and mongy
  16. surely you could use one from a mtb? something like this?
  17. i see the benefits of it, bashring would always stay in the same place and protect the freewheel/sprocket regardless of crank position. I guess i've had alot of issues with bb threads over the time, so it wasnt the option for me
  18. i've always thought you were bashy, that using BB mounted bashguard would put all the stress through the bottom bracket/threads, so if anything would break it'd be the frame?
  19. i wrote a well educated reply to Jardo, but to be honest, i cant be f**ked wiht that argument. Yes, if your that stupid to downshift from 5th to first, you'll f**k 99% of engines up. but i have enough faith in humanity to think that people arn't that stupid
  20. sorry, but isnt tht what rev limiters are made for? Yeah, if they was hitting the rev limiter every day, i could understand, but for a one off occation (escpecially because the engine didnt stop them from doing it), then thats bullshit!
  21. all of those links fail, you suck item no 141639981520
  22. My new exhaust has arrived at home
  23. How... HOW can you piss away that kinda money? You got a 1.5k car, if my memorys right your living in a place rented from your folks or something, wheres the rest of it?
