If you believe in evolution there is really only one answer. Like ReverendJQ said, the egg came first.

If anyone's got iTunes, check out the Charge bikes trailer too - there's some clips of Akrigg (I think) riding a Charge Iron

In other news, apparently Adobe are making a free online version of Photoshop. Apparently it'll just be add-supported. Hooray! link I've had the beta of Lightroom for a while but never really used it. But the trial has run out now any I'll have to pay to continue using it. It's OK, but I prefer to use an image browser like Picasa and just jump into Photoshop for anything more advanced. Ditto Apple Aperture.

I can't believe people actually still believe this is real and legit

Yeah, do that. Or just use a gas hob (if you have one). There's no point cleaning the pads if your disc is dirty, either. So get some soapy water (preferably use some degreaser) and clean the disc too.

I doubt that very much. It's just made by some clown who can't even spell and doesn't know what the actual bike is - he's just nicked the pics from another site. If I were you I'd do everything I could to get my money back. P.S. Is this a piss take?

That probably won't get rid of the crap they came installed with though... Try Adaware and Spybot S&D.

Looks like you've got spyware, probably from the skins you downloaded.

I don't know the situation with visas for the US at the moment. It probably depends on how long you're going for, and if you're planning on working. But you may need to apply in advance. Someone on here should know.

I would definitely get a full susser for XC, it's just fun. I've only got a hard tail but if I ever run into some money I may well get a full sus frame. Something not overly heavy though. Mink rides XC on his 38lbs Patriot - and still beats me (and most other people) up the hills, and obviously on the way down too. I don't think it makes that much difference unless you're really competitive.

That was really cool Phil. Some of those lines to posts were really sweet. And all on a silly long bike

Errr yes it did. He rode with it in a cast and he's only just recovered about a year on. I don't actually know exactly what he did, but my guess is that it would have healed faster if he didn't ride it in a cast.

Which bit have you actually broken? If you need a new lever blade for the '05 maguras, then you could just get one of the Deng ones from Tarty bikes. The whole lever will work because the slave pistons (at the wheel) are the same on the old and new ones. So if you can replace the whole lever it'll all work.

If it was my money and I was on a budget, I'd go for the Hope. It just makes sense really. But Kings are better, and you have to pay for it. No-one really needs a King hub, in the same way as no-one really needs a King headset, but they're very nice to have and they work better than anything else... I have had two Kings over the last 3 years or so (One got stolen ) and I've never maintained them at all. Skip free. I snapped a normal axle, but King USA were pretty good to me and I got a new HD axle on warantee (had to pay difference, something like £26). They are just the best

I wonder if riding in a cast is why TRA has been out of the sport for so many months. Yeah, like everyone has said, don't rush it. Probably some stuff like squeezing a stress ball etc, but I'd imagine they would give you specific ones for your injury so it's probably best to wait and see what they say

Yeah and you weren't even alive in the 80s Is this an eighties music thread or what? G'n'R *** (I'm listening to them now).

It's nothing to do with you losing your muscle. If it hurts, it's probably your hand telling you to stop doing what you're doing. Just gotta wait I'm afraid. Riding now will be painful and it'll just lengthen the time till you're better again.

If you developed Alzheimer's in the last six months from some new rim, I'd go and see a doctor. If not, you probably shouldn't say things like that.

There was nothing about any Apples bursting into flames, but they used the same battery technology, apparently. So they all got recalled. I got an email about it, I'm not sure how you'd find out if yours was recalled.

Brrrr no ta. I was in so much pain in the snow t'other week riding. Freezing cold hands. But yeah, riding in the winter is fun.

This is the dictionary definition I've got: Professional (of a person) engaged in a specified activity as one's main paid occupation rather than as a pastime So you can make your own mind up whether Vince (or anyone else) is a 'pro'.

I have an XC bike but it mostly gets ridden as a trials bike or a jump bike when I'm out on the trails. Hence the battered chainring and snapped spoke. It's a good laugh though, I've just been up in Scotland this weekend, riding Dalbeatie and Innerleithen (google 7 Stanes if you're interested). Innerleithen XC was sooooo cool.

Hehe, my Powerbook battery was recalled so I got a new one absolutely freeeeeee (And I can keep the old one which still works fine). JT: It might be worth checking if yours has been recalled - I think it applies to Dell/Sony/Apple laptops.

I've just got back from Scotland riding XC and all the trails they have up there are unmanned. It's not really a problem, everyone pays the £2 for the car park even though they could easily get away with it. There's loads of trails with skills sections etc, it's only a little step further to have a full-blown trials section. Plus some of the downhills are really gnarly with big drops etc - very dangerous if you don't know what you're doing but no-one sues anyone There's just a warning sign at the top of any hard bits etc. Sounds good Ali

Good find Adam. I have Evolve on VHS but I can't watch it any more because I don't have a video player!
