Ouch I'm liking the amount of effort that went into that, though.

Probably not... But yeah, there is software about that will pick up signals and allow you to connect to other people's network. Even with WEP, anyone with enough time can get in to your network. But unless you are running really crap software, he won't be able to get "into your computer". Although he probably means that he's just got some scanner that picks up networks and points him to the best one and connects or something.

I remember a time a while ago when I saw someone (Danny Smith) backwheel 48". It was an absolutely amazing achievement. No-one I'd heard of had broken the 4ft barrier, and it just seemed unattainable. Bearing in mind that the world record for bunny hop on a stock was about 43" or something. It seemed so superhuman, and that was only 2-3 years ago. But now it seems that anyone who tries hard enough can beat that easily. Maybe I'm being unfair (bitter? ) on the people that can make that height, but I don't think so. I think a lot of it is bike geometry, but now the bar has been raised so much that even if you had been amazing 3 years ago, with the same skills you'd be rubbish by today's standards. But then again I have no idea how good you are, perhaps you are still amazing, you just never knew it. Good topic though

I dunno, it seems like with enough practise most people can sidehop 45"+. I can't and I respect myself for that. Although I'm not sure many people respect me for my riding ability... Nowadays if you can't gap 8ft, tap 48", and sidehop 45", you're not cool. Or something. I dunno. Maybe someone else should answer this one

Hahaha, that's awesome. I have to learn that EDIT: Ima Robot are cool. I saw them at Leeds 3 years ago and they rocked. I tried to find their stuff, but there was nothing released. I assumed they'd died or something. Gonna have to look them up now. Cheers

Hmmm, I promised my mum I'd go and see her. But I want to ride Manchester instead. Decisions decisions.

Yeah, what ^^ said is pretty much what I was going to say. You don't really need to worry about people sitting outside and using your internet connection to check their emails. You DO need to worry about someone stealing your credit card info though. You NEED at least WEP to prevent this. If you can use WPA, use that, although some older hardware is not capable of using WPA. So WEP will do. To enable that, you'll have to go into the router's settings (either read the manual or google, but it'll be something like 192.168.0.1 (type into IE/firefox)). And then you'll have to set a password for WEP and then you'll have to copy the key it gives you into the settings on your computer for your wireless card. Other things you can do are mac filtering (stops other randomers using your connection) and hide the SSID (this means that it's hard for other people to "see" your wireless network). Also change the SSID to something less obvious. E.g. if it's set to NETGEAR or something, change it. All this will be in the settings for the router. Make sure you know what you're doing before you change anything, and preferably have a cable ready so you can connect to the router directly if (when) you mess up. If you turn on wireless security but get it wrong, then you won't be able to log into the router and you'll have to do a hard reset and lose all your settings.

Awesome video, even better than the last one which was awesome as well. Haha, I love the names. But wtf is a Rhino?

That's definitely the best one yet. I enjoyed that mucho. Although the shadow of the tripod was a bit of a rookie mistake

There's a little icon under the clips monitor thing that decides whether you're importing video, audio or both when you drag it into the timeline. Select "both" on that. At least that's how it is in Premiere.
-
I would probably go for an Avid. There's probably not much in it in terms of performance. Both are powerful enough, the Avid probably has the edge, but no-one has fingers so weak that it would make a difference. The Avid is just grabbier, and has a different feel due to the cable-ness of it. I like the feel and the grabbiness, so I say Avid.

Oh right, I thought Triton = Ti. I just remember Luke saying a while ago that he could do a ti 24" frame if anyone was interested. But yeah, Alu frames are certainly more practical

Trials Forum was messed up with me too, earlier this evening. At least now I know why

Apparently Adam Burns is riding again now. Chris Swallow lives about half a mile from me now (in Manchester) and was talking about getting back into riding properly and doing some demos with Adam. Now we just need Dave back for comedy value (It's a Screeeeeeamerrrrrrr burhurhur ).
-
Nope, I've had one for a couple of months* *(On the front ) And is made out of Ti. That's what I heard anyways. I'm very jealous actually, can't wait for pics

Here's my old one. That bike looks so nice, I really miss it. Even though I reckon the Ashton rides better (only because it's shorter, mind), the Leeson just looked amazing

You need to sign up for a MSN passport on that email account.

History graduates are really sought after for jobs in business and office work though, probably more so than business studies graduates. The reason: History is a difficult subject to master whereas lots of people do a business studies degree, it's not very exciting for employers. History involves lots of skills - analysis, critical thinking, structured essay writing etc. It's not at all about learning about things that happened ages ago. For that reason, I would say only do history if you like it and are good at those things. I f**king hated it and I was crap at it, but there were no other GCSE options for me. I've never done business, but my (probably wrong) thoughts are that it would be an easier GCSE for someone who doesn't really have a passion or skill for history.

You're never heard the word wankered before?

Ah I see, so it's market research then? I love the look of the Caisso anyway, so the new revell ought to be pretty decent.
-
Apparently there's no way of doing this. It really sucks. I had that phone for a bit (in fact I still have a broken one in a box because O2 are c**ts) and I googled and apparently it's a glitch in the phone's firmware. It means that you can't have a vibrate mode, wtf is up with that?
-
That's a nice bike. Is it a Revell?
-
So you've pulled the star nut out? If you have, just buy that (or any star nut from your local bike shop), and batter it in there with a hammer. You only need one. If you haven't got it out, and can't (and if it's knackered), just hit it down into the fork so it's out of the way.

The best I got on SuperPi was 42 seconds, it does about 45 now. Under 30s is fast! My computer is still pretty good, but it's been relegated to the living room now - I only use it to watch videos and stuff. But it does that pretty well, Media Portal + remote for the win
