  1. I have a £1500 overdraft with my HSBC (student) account, and it's interest free (Until after I graduate). I think next year it goes up to £1750 too
  2. Kerb is the British spelling. Curb is the American. Curb is also a verb. Kerb isn't. (I looked it up last time )

    Top Ten Cds

In no particular order... Radiohead - OK computer Stone Roses - Stone Roses Mars Volta - De-Loused in the Comatorium Smiths - The Queen is Dead Led Zepellin III Massive Attack - Mezzanine Arctic Monkeys - Whatever people say I am, that's what I'm not (I know it's a bit early to say that it's in my top 10 ever (it's been out like a month), but I've pretty much got it on repeat at the moment). Pixies - Surfer Rosa Suede - Singles ('cos I'm too cheap to buy all the albums )
  4. I'm pretty sure that one was rubbish because you pointed the camera half into the sun and got a crap angle
  5. Even if you don't fancy the manual mode, you can still use the shutter priority mode - You set the shutter speed you want (E.g. 1/100 or something) and it'll work out the rest. If that's too difficult, there's probably a sports mode that will set the shutter speed automatically quite high. But if you can work out what shutter speed, ISO and aperture do, then you can work out how to get a better exposure using manual controls. It ain't that hard.
  6. Yup, that's really cool, I really like that. The rest are ok, some obviously better than others, but there's definitely better than the ones you posted a couple of months ago. But there are quite a lot that have been ruined by the rider blur. Use a faster shutter speed It's always good when someone posts a load of photo's

    Mac Virus

Who are you calling damage? There have been two new viruses in the last week for Mac's. But both have been "proof of concept" things, just to show that they could be done. And yeah, they don't really do much, and you have to click "install" or something daft like that. But it is pretty naive to think that we're immune. I don't know how much it is that Mac's are invulnerable, or if it is just that people don't bother writing viruses. At least there aren't 65 Million viruses out there for Mac's.
  8. Cool video, some big shizzle. I like that drop gap to rail to ride along the rail Was the music really crackly for anyone else (on the QT version)? Video quality was pretty awesome for 13Mb though I thought. Keep it up

    O2 Are Bastards

Apparently not. I'll just wait until tomorrow. There is no way there won't be a manager in on a Monday. I hate O2

    My Photography

Yeah, I agree with Adds - If you have the aperture wide open on the robin, you'll lose the depth of field and make the bird stand out more. It is slightly under-exposed, but probably nothing you couldn't brighten up with photoshop. Try and bring out the orange a bit. It's a cool picture though, how far away were you? At full zoom on that camera, what is the max aperture? I like the tower one too, though I think it might be better if you took two steps back and got slightly more grass and more sky nearer the top. And maybe edit out the aerial on the top - it's a bit distracting. Exposure is spot on though. Depends on the camera. ISO400 should be good, but I don't know what you camera is like. I probably wouldn't go any higher than that though, on my camera ISO800 starts to look grainy. You might just have to use a longer exposure - Try a tripod?

    O2 Are Bastards

I just rang that number Andy and apparently that was for contract phones only. So the guy I spoke to gave me another number, rang that, wrong again, she gave me another number, also wrong, and then that person gave me the right number. So I got through (it actually didn't take too long today) to some guy called Roy who spoke very little english, and I asked to speak to a manager, but there are apparently no managers in today. So I will get a call tomorrow, my arse. f**king twats.
  12. That article is 4 years old... And they did introduce fees didn't they? For Hotmail, for a bigger inbox or something for £12/year. But it was optional of course.

    O2 Are Bastards

Right, so I bought a phone off the O2 website, and it arrived but didn't work. So I phoned them and they said they would send a guy round to my house to replace it. After 2 weeks and no show, no man arrived. So I phoned them and after about 30 minutes of that f**king O2 tune, I actually spoke to someone. He said that the phone was out of stock, but they got new stock every day and I should just wait. Another 2 weeks and no new phone. I ring up again and wait ages again. When I finally speak to someone, they said the same thing - I have to wait. I asked if I could just get my money back, but now because it's been longer than 28 days, I'm not allowed to get a straight refund (the girl wasn't authorised to do that). After a bit of arguing, this girl on the phone said that she would pass the complaint onto her manager and that I would get a phone call off this manager. No phone call. I also emailed their customer support, no reply. So what the hell do I do? Every time I phone I just get fobbed off with some shit excuse by someone that has absolutely no authority to get anything done. It's so frustrating, because I am actually totally helpless here. At least if it was a shop I could go and demand to see a manager or something, or knock some people about I can't go into an O2 shop in town, because they're apparently nothing to do with the online stuff. I need to get this fixed, because at the moment, O2 have given me a broken phone and they have £70 of my money. Any suggestions? The only thing I can think of is Watchdog

    New Frame

It ain't particularly heavy. Not when you think Levelbosses are around 5lbs, and Leesons are probably closer to 6
  15. Get photoshop, open up a pic, press Ctrl-i and you're well on your way to making photo's that look like that. I agree, the second pic is pretty nice, but the rest are painful to look at, and take next to no skill at all.
  16. You can't withdraw more than you actually have. They don't do Paypal overdrafts. But seriously how can you not know if you should have £800 or £300 in there?

    Big Tyre Fold...

Maxxis Swampthing. Like I said there's obviously something not right with his tyre/rim combo. The tyre barely even folded and it was off.
  18. The green one is a Mk3 though?
  19. Not arsed. Whatever I can afford. At the moment I'm driving a 1.6 R-reg Mk4. It's nice and I'd love one, but I doubt I could afford one though. EDIT: It'd be under a grand according to Autotrader. Maybe I can afford one after all

Good work. It's basically a Leeson, which is no bad thing I guess. How much did it cost you in total? (If you don't mind me asking).

    Big Tyre Fold...

There must be something wrong with the tyre, is the bead really thin or something? Or the lip on the rim. I run about 20psi and fold my tyre right over all the time, but it just bounces back on

    Tartybikes

Yeah there is... When you have to register with the site to find out how much postage is. I would like to see some info on postage prices, but it's not too bad being able to find out the postage when you add something to the basket
  23. I would drive the green one. Lose the blacked out windows and the sunstrip and I might even pay money for it Hmm, all this is making me want a Golf, or at least a Polo. PS. How come it's left hand drive?

    Tartybikes

Looks good, online ordering (finally) Wheelbuilds are stupidly cheap compared to the rest of the "workshop" stuff. It's a good idea though, I reckon plenty of people will use it. If you think it's too expensive, don't pay for it. Maybe it is more CRC than On-One, but I use CRC a lot more than I use On-One. It's all good.
