  1. I dunno, wheelies are ace I think I'll take one, better check finances first though...
  2. I think so yeah. That frame is a one-off and the final geo will be different. PS - Steve I want one too
  3. Ooooh, looks even nicer built up. Just one quick question: Those stickers - Will they peel off? I like the colour but I don't like the stickers really. There's nothing really wrong with them (in fact the 24UK ones look nice), but I would like to be able to take them off.
  4. I agree really. I'm pretty sure Steve was going to address that and basically copy the Aston ET geo, as that's what people really wanted. Whether the bb rise would "cancel out" the extra length remains to be seen, but I wouldn't really want to take the risk. I made a topic about BB rise on 24's HERE. As far as I know, the Ashton is 1025 wb/+25 bb rise/380mm stays/72ยบ head angle, and that is what the 24UK will be. The Ashton has sorted geo anyway, doesn't need changing IMO Yep, +25. Also they are not 1035, mine actually measures 1020, I think they are supposed to be 1025, depending on fork obviously.
  5. I'm pretty sure they're only for those forks. There's nothing to stop some innovative person coming up with some for other forks though. They ain't new though, Pace forks about 10 years ago had a similar thing. And obviously the Ashton forks have both 24 and 26 mounts
  6. Or buggered up his connection. You really need a wired connection to piss about with the wireless settings, because you change something and all of a sudden it stops working and you can't get back into the setup to change it back
  7. OK, you can set internet explorer (or whatever browser) to use what's called a proxy. This is basically another computer somewhere in the world that will re-direct traffic from your computer to the internet and back again. You would do this by going into the browser options (in IE I think it's under tools > preferences, but I don't have a PC here to check). There will be something there that says proxies. If you enter an IP address in there, your computer will go to the internet "through" that other PC. Try HERE for the proxy lists, but I have no idea if these are safe. This should work fine, but for a lot of sites it'll be slower than not using a proxy (because it has to go through another computer on the way). The main thing though is that it's totally unsecure, as the person running the proxy will have full access to whatever you're viewing/sending etc (Including your forum password). So don't EVER use your credit card number. But for just surfing etc it's probably nothing to worry about, and it's unlikely that anyone looking will care about your forum password. And like I said, if you use a different browser just for that one site, you won't forget to stop using the proxy when you don't need it. But try resetting your modem, that might just reset your IP anyway...
  8. Yeah, you were supposed to, but it looks like you are in the 1% that I mentioned Try 192.168.2.1.
  9. You can just use any html proxy (search google for a list of IPs). The downside is that they aren't secure so your forum password will go out to anyone who's watching. And certainly don't put any credit card numbers in... My tip would be to use another browser for proxy surfing, so you don't have to keep changing the internet settings all the time. If you're using Firefox, download Opera, and set that to use the html proxy (it'll be in the browser preferences). And then use Firefox normally, except when you want to go on this site, and you can just load up Opera.
  10. Well if you don't want them, you can ask for a refund. I don't really see the problem though, the Urbans are more expensive, so you've basically got better forks than you asked for.

I found that starting with your front foot DOWN a bit helps. You start off with the pedal at say 5 o'clock (looking from the drive side), and then sorta do a quarter stroke back until your front foot is at 2 o'clock. At that point, and all as a smooth motion, jump and flick the pedals. I just found that the extra bit of momentum on the pedals at the start helps loads
  12. 99% it'll either be: 192.168.0.1 192.168.1.1 10.0.0.1 Click each of them until you get an answer (That applies to all routers too, not just Belkin)
  13. I have heard that people can fix this sort of problem using a program called HiJack This. It basically stops programs loading, I think. I've never used it though, I dunno how you people get into such troubles Anyway, T3h Linkeh
  14. My Mum has a Dell laptop and it's nice. It's good and small and portable, and the battery life is better than most. But they do different lines, hers is one of the more portable ones. On the other hand, my housemate has a big fat Dell lappy and it sucks. It's noisy, hot, crap battery life and it's huuuuuge. Although it doesn't really bother him, I guess it works. The thing with Laptops is that you can't really compare them side-to-side in the same way that you can with desktops; the one that looks best on paper is not necessarily the best. At the risk of being shouted down, can I make a suggestion? iBook (12"). Nice and small, very strong, 5+ hrs of battery life (and that's actually true), and they aren't too expensive. You should be able to get a G4 one that's a year old or so for the sort of money you're looking to spend. Avoid the G3's unless they're very cheap though. I think they're awesome. You are of course entitled to make your own mind up. But they're definitely worth considering
  15. What sort of time? I will be free in the evening... And where?
  16. Well, to me the most important things are good build quality and size, if you're gonna take it anywhere. Also the sound of the thing - they're really annoying if there's a whiney fan spinning all the time. Battery life also very important if you're gonna take it anywhere. But I guess if you're gonna use it as your main computer and not really take it anywhere none of that stuff really applies. Some of the cheaper laptops are just big and fat and noisy, with shit battery life. I would go for something of higher quality, maybe second hand. But most importantly don't worry too much about the specs - for just playing DVDs and internet and stuff, anything over 1GHz will be fine (make sure it's got a decent amount of ram though).
  17. I'm guessing you have an ethernet port on your laptop. And one on your router. Get a cable and join them. You won't need any drivers or anything, they will already be there, and everything will work fine. You laptop probably has a 56k modem in, so don't use that... Having said that, you shouldn't be having any problems with a Wireless connection really. Have you switched off any file sharing stuff you have running (Or what other people are running on your network)?
  18. In between the two broken bits on the rotor, there's a mark that looks like you've hit it on something. Are you sure you didn't? I would say though that it seems unlikely that a small mark like that could cause it to fold in two places. Hopefully you'll get a new one from Hope EDIT: Never mind - That mark looks like it's on the inside of the rotor, so probably not gonna be a rock

Eengo has just totally stopped working for me, I never get more than a few kb/ sec. Host elsewhere? Pllllease?
  21. Search for a patch for uxtheme.dll - It's a much better way to change themes etc as you don't have to run another program (E.g. StyleXP/WindowsBlinds), you just change them via the desktop properties.
  22. Yeah you can load Safe Mode Command Prompt Only, but it's just a Window that comes up and obviously as Windows is running, you can't format from there. I tried to do it the other day. Windows 98 boot disk might work I suppose, but there's no need. As manonamission said - change the first boot device to CD-ROM and you're set
  23. Just put the Windows CD in the drive and restart. It should load off the CD and ask you if you want to format c: and load Windows etc etc. You backed everything up?
  24. You they are good pics. If I'm being picky you really need to up the shutter speed in a couple of them to cancel out the blur, and also some aren't in focus properly (Eg the wall behind you is in perfect focus, and you're slightly blurred). The are nice though, hope you're getting on with the bike too
