    Come On England!

Yeah, but Portugal are even worse for under-performing than England. They are always tipped to do well, and never do. At the moment, England have the Fifa number 2 in the world (Lampard), plus the best youngster (Rooney) plus the most well-known player in the world (Beckham). And the rest of the team is quality too, there are no bad players. But they just don't seem to get it together. Whereas some teams are much worse in individual talent, but work really well as a team. Like watching Barca vs Chelsea the other day. Obviously Barcelona has a good squad, but Chelsea had basically loads of better players. Barca's team work was so much better and they totally ran rings around Chelsea.

    Beer Vs Vodka

Carlsberg Special Brew is about 8.9% and that tastes like crap. It's basically just cheap beer with added meths or something. But in terms of alcoholic content per pound spent, it's probably about as potent as anything, which is I guess why tramps drink it...

    Spore

It's made by the same people who did the Sims, so it could well be out on the Mac

    Beer Vs Vodka

Wow. Only homeless people drink beer that strong in this country. I'm 21, and I think in the last few years, drinking tart fuel has become loads more acceptable and cool. In fact in most places you go, all the cool kids propping up the bar in their faggish shirt and smart shoes wouldn't be seen dead with a beer... But there you go. I'm sure in a couple of years that will change.

    Bike Locks

They're really expensive those locks, and it would only really stop someone nicking the frame. And I know you said that you bike isn't as well spec'd as some on here, but your average thief is not going to know that - to the untrained eye it'll be the same as any trials bike, probably. Having said that, if you HAVE to leave it unattended, then I guess the New York has about the best rep of anything.

    Beer Vs Vodka

I would say Vodka and Coke is probably the single most popular drink in the UK. Although maybe some shit like Smirnoff Ice would beat it, or just Carling. But it's definitely up there. Er, which is just what Trialsmad said. That'll teach me not to read the thread properly. I really dislike the taste of Vodka in Coke, it just spoils it. In fact I probably prefer neat vodka, at least it's a smaller volume to drink. If I ever have to drink Vodka 'n' Coke, I'd down the vodka and then chase it with Coke. Get rid of the taste.

    Bike Locks

Kryptonite I think they're called. And all their locks have some guarantee I think - but the New York lock guarantees it for up £2000's worth of bike. I have a kryptonite coil thing - it was about £15 and it's guaranteed for up to £500. I don't know that I would trust them to pay up though. Someone actually tried to cut through it - there are some marks from some bolt cutters or something on there. It didn't break though, only the plastic covering, which is good. I don't really trust it though, so I use a D-lock too (random thing - the cheapest on CRC), which I would trust more, it'd be much harder to cut through. And I just use the Krytonite one for my wheels. This is on my road bike, I would never leave my trials bike unattended anywhere...

    Chris King Brakes

Chris King make good hubs though. It's not as if all the quality workmanship isn't there for a reason.
  9. That's his femur No, apparently he was ok after it, although you can definitely hear something break. And his parents (who were filming I think) swearing...
  10. Who is selling BT stuff now Select aren't?

    Beer Vs Vodka

I don't really like Vodka, it tastes horrible, let's face it. I don't mind drinking it to get wasted (although gin is better), but for just drinking, I much prefer Beer
  12. Yeah, that was awesome. Makes me wanna ride so much, and I can't 'cos of the friggin' snow. Too many good moves to mention, it was all great, although I especially loved the 180 drops --> backwards manual. Thank you

    Hope

Nope, I've never bothered - It's never needed it. Maybe I should, but I'm quite a firm believer in the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentality. Maybe I'm not a rider who's harsh on hubs though.

    Hope

Or bad design... How do you "service" hope hubs anyway, besides lubing them when they need it?
  15. Just to clear stuff up, that is NOT my hat. In fact where the hell did it come from? Good times

King will give you a free axle, though

    Snow Anyone?

Proper big phat snow here, flakes bigger than your fist. Well not quite, but pretty massive Although it was not the right day to leave the house without a coat - I was riding back from uni and I looked like a snowman when I got home. I didn't even have a jumper. I was cold. But now I'm home in the warmth, I love the snow.

  19. There isn't much point making the sole look more casual when they look like full blown pixie boots from the top. If they made the rest of the shoe (i.e. the bits you can see) look more casual, more people would buy them. FACT.

    Hope

The only problem now is that people won't be able to use Hope's warrantee as an excuse for them breaking every year. Compared to Kings, which are more reliable and have better engagements, the only thing Hope have now is the slightly cheaper price (and now, with the Pro II, it's less of a price gap). They had better hope (no pun intended) that the Pro II is as good as people seem to expect it will be, and it won't need repairing every year. If it is only as reliable as the XC, and there are people who break them once every year or so, Hope are going to have a lot of annoyed customers, who are now having to pay the extra. Don't get me wrong, I see why they have to do this. I just think that they might annoy a few people in the trials world and lose popularity. Having said that, perhaps they don't really care about trials - Compared to XC, trials is probably a great way to lose money.

    Snow Anyone?

We don't got any here, although I can see some on yonder hills. I think there is some forecast for Friday, but I won't hold my breath. I hope there is some though, I love snow
  24. I don't think it is the beast of the east. I forget exactly what Cannondale named them, but I'm pretty sure the beast of the east was different to that. I don't think Ashton ever rode one of those frames either. They're pretty random frames - no standover and long chainstays, but they still rode OK. Anyway, hope your ankle gets better
  25. Ahahaha, that's awesome. It's not even April 1st
