    Pixies > 3 Doors Down (Punkrider I couldn't see the pic 'cos it's hotlinked :P )

    Laptops?

Yeah, it'll be fine. Won't be great for games, but it should just about manage if you buy a proper graphics card.
  3. No one is calling it a new iPod though are they? It's just a slightly revised version of the normal iPod that is better in every way. If you want it, buy it. If you don't want it, don't? I don't see the problem to be honest.
  4. Wear a blue one to show you're pure BIU Red for UCI :P
  5. That's a BB7. You can tell because there is a red knob on the outside of the caliper, whereas the bb5 just has a flat red cap. You can edit the link out now so no-one bids :P
  6. What does it say in the manual? Sometimes you have to install the software BEFORE you plug the phone in. Also when the "found new harward" wizard tells you that the device is not digitally signed, you have to click on "continue anyway" otherwise it won't work. I reckon the best thing to do is to find the device in device manager (Start > Control panel > system > Click the hardware tab > Device manager) and remove it. Then install the software exactly as the manual says, only plugging the phone in when it tells you to :P
  7. :P I mean on a BMX most people bunny hop, whereas on a trials bike you would pedal into stuff. No-one does pedal-ups on a BMX.
  8. They look slightly different and the BB5 only has pad adjustment on one side. Give us a link and we should be able to see which one it is.
  9. Not working here either. I'm sure they'll get it sorted ASAP. EDIT: Looks like it is working, but really slowly.
  10. Yeah, I notice this when I ride my BMX. You use your back way more in BMX I reckon - Like pulling up for bunnyhops (when on a trials bike you would pedal). Just take it easy on the BMX for a bit and if it starts hurting, stop riding.
  11. I'm sure I saw that orange Lambo and a couple of those other cars yesterday driving through Wilmslow (which is pretty near Oulton Park). Was there a Lotus with the number plate EX11GE?

    Labret

Hold the flat back bit with your teeth (takes some doing) and then unscrew it from the front with your fingers. I never had a problem with mine.

    My New Pc

PCB = printed circuit board :P And Gigabyte is a good brand really, it's definitely one of the best. That ought to be a good board, but I can't be bothered to google your specific board and look up reviews etc, you can do that.
  14. That's pretty shaky logic really. I wouldn't go saying that sort of thing in public.

    Laptops?

Centrinos are generally a bit better (for laptops) than P4s etc. Better battery life and they aren't as slow as 1.6Ghz would suggest. They are better made for laptops in that they are more energy efficient (ie, cooler + quieter, better battery life), and have stuff like wireless technology built in. Building your own is a complete no-no, it just doesn't happen with laptops. Built-in wireless isn't that important. It's nice but you can always stick a Wireless PCMCIA card in and you're off. Make sure you get 802.11g not 802.11b though (faster). Also it might be worth thinking about (shock horror) Apple laptops. They have pretty awsome battery life (mine lasts around 5 hours, as compared to some PC laptops which have about 90minutes of battery life). And the 12" iBook (aka the cheapest one) is pretty small. Not as small as the "ultra portable" PC laptops you see, but the iBook is fully featured (ie fast, DVD drive etc) which some of the small PC laptops aren't. Oh, and it's super quiet too. With the educational discount you can get them from about £600, or get a second hand one. Something to think about [/hard sell] B)
  16. Everyone I have ever heard of that has done one has failed it. Maybe I've just heard from shit drivers though :ermm:

If John says it wouldn't happen, I'd be inclined to aggree. Feel free to argue (but only if you have a better degree than him :ermm: ). See mink's graph, it's helpful. But the all-in-one mounts produce a stress riser at the ends of the weld, meaning the tube itself snaps. The idea is a good one, but maybe Zoo just messed it up and didn't create enough weld area. I can't say I've ever really looked at a Zoo brake mount though...
  18. That's pretty pointless though. Just go with what Tart says to be honest, if for some reason he says 2x disc side is better, I'd be inclined to believe him. No one on here has built more wheels. But I just did 3x both sides, it's fine. To be honest you'd have to do a pretty crap job to make a front wheel that didn't stay straight.

Yeah, but you are comparing the (massive) force of locking the brake and landing a big drop gap (for example) to some mincing little squeak. That's stupid.
  20. I know you ain't gonna care about me, my mac, and Opera, but here goes: That's at the top of every thread... Obviously for some reason the thread title and the post number is going in the wrong bit/box/frame/whatever you techy guys call it (N)
  21. No, you'd need to file the lever down to fit. Some people have done it. Be aware that it offers no mechanical advantage over the normal lever, although it is more comfortable.

    Maher

Putain is a pretty rude word in French I think. And are you sure she just wasn't calling you a silly Mare? I don't believe for a minute that townies these days are bringing their french lessons out onto the streetz (N)
  23. It's been out a few weeks, but it's really badly done by the looks of things. Anyway, there's a review HERE.
