  1. My favourite: Seasons. Just such a cool vibe to the whole thing. Plus there's a big section in Whistler and I remember watching it whilst I was out there riding the same trails. Good times. NWD 9 is definitely worth a watch - there's some totally epic bits in there. NWD 10 is alright but I didn't think it was quite as revolutionary.
  2. I didn't realise people actually bought bikes like that. I thought they were just there to make the £2000 version look like good value...

    Powerballs..

Yeah, but you're missing my point: Dumbells are for training. Powerballs are for pissing around and having competitions with your mates. Trying to use one for muscle training is like, I dunno, using a bus to block the light from the lounge window at night instead of using curtains
  4. It probably is coverage issues. The one thing you can try is to reset the network settings. It's in the phone's settings page, general, reset, reset network settings. If that fails you can try the "Reset all settings" option, but that one means you can lose data if you haven't backed up (IIRC?). Having said that, I had an iPhone where it would lose signal and never get it back until I turn flight mode on&off. That one was faulty and Apple replaced it. If you've bought it from new, just take it back to an Apple shop and have them take a look at it - They may well give you a new one!

    Powerballs..

Yeah, that's definitely the way to use them if you actually wanna get strong. You can get them from Play.com at the higher price (£17), which seems to be about the going rate for a "proper" one. Let us know if you find it cheaper.
  6. To be fair, the whole riding backwards thing is quite cool. But on the other hand, you have to be a fanny. So it balances out.
  7. At least you're honest! If you enjoy it, fair play. As for the holding its value thing, I'm not really sure about that. What happens when fixies become untrendy in a year or so?

    Powerballs..

How often do you use it? I stand by my comment Actually I'm just being difficult. I'm sure they are useful for a very small minority of people. My aunty's a physio and she says it can be useful for certain things - but not just spinning it as fast as you can. You have to do the proper exercises. I think for the average person, there's no point buying it as a way to increase your hand strength - you'll use it once in a blue moon when you've got friends around and see who can get the high score. Nooo, that's for the one with no rev counter. The proper one (the one you definitely want) is £17.
  9. I'd ask for some decent pictures first of all. Dunno about you, but I can't even see what colour it's supposed to be let alone condition. Is there another reason for buying a fixie? For what it's worth, I think it looks rubbish
  10. It does help, but not loads. Mainly because there are usually too many people with Ninja or cold-blooded or whatever it is. I just don't like helping the other people on my team Whereas Predator is 1-2 kills instantly, and that leads you into a harrier strike without even trying. Just out of interest, what do people think of holographic sight vs red-dot? For me, red-dot seems way better as your view isn't obscured as much (by the dot but also the surround bit). Perhaps I'm missing something.
  11. UAV (and counter UAV) is a waste of your killstreak. It doesn't benefit you any more than the rest of your team, and unless you've actually got a team plan, it doesn't help YOU much. I've got hardline on, and then Predator (4) / Harrier (6) / Pave-Low (8). Get 4 kills in a row (not too hard) then use the predator to get 1 or 2 more kills. Then harrier strike (should get you 2 more) then Pave-low gets at least 3-4 depending on the map. Sometimes 10+ if the other team are stupid. So all you have to do is get 4 kills and then hide out whilst your killstreaks do all the work. Eeeeasy.
  12. Apparently there's about a million things you can be charged for. Hit the barrier, it's £400 per metre of barrier. If you properly take the fence out, it's £2000. Spilling oil on the track is £4000 or something ridiculous. Summink like that anyway - but I'm sure if you drive carefully enough it'll be very fun.

    Powerballs..

They're something to play with. People who say they use them for physio/strength exercises are lying. I lost mine a while ago, no idea where. Tempted to buy another one.
  14. Yeah, you don't wanna buy into Octalink now - It's been obsolete for years!
  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ywJ3D14YlI...player_embedded I think I want to do that ^^ The iphone controls are indispensible for me, but the headphones themselves are pretty awful. I had high hopes for some Nixon "Wire" ones I bought, but I've had two pairs and they've both broken within 2 weeks (and been sent back). I'm not sure what the answer is.
  16. TapTap Revenge 2 is good - There's an awesome Prodigy song available. Rock Band is better but you have to pay for that. Skype Shazam TheTrainLine Facebook Oh, and not really an app but iphone.TVcatchup.com is awesome!
  17. Only about 2 years too late but holy shit that's well nice!
  18. That's possibly the worst comeback ever. Video was pretty good too.

    Akmal Shaikh

Think of it like this - a Chinese guy came over to England and gets caught with 50kg of heroin, then tells the police that he has a condition in which his qi is out of alignment and he needs some urgent aromatherapy. Would you expect a British judge to let him go? It is a bit harsh, but this whole mental illness thing is (from what I gather) a little bit tenuous anyway - He was never actually diagnosed with anything, the family are just suggesting this after he's been caught red-handed. Secondly, there's a very different attitude to mental illness in the far east - they don't have the same ideas we do. Thirdly, if he was that unwell, surely the British mental health services are culpable in that he managed to slip through the net in this country, and disappear. I just can't help thinking that this story has much more to do with what our government wants us to think about the Chinese government.

    Ipod

Show me one thing that you can do on a w810i that I can't do on a Nokia 3310. That's pretty much the comparison you're making!
  21. The thing is, it's not like the single player mode is bad. It's just that it's about 7-8 hours of pretty alright stuff, vs online which is basically infinite and will eat your life away.
  22. I'm sorry, but I really do have to quote this
  23. Does anyone else perform really sporadically in their score online? I find that I can either be in top spot with a KDR of 4 or something, or dead last with 10 deaths and 1 or 2 kills. It doesn't seem to depend on the maps either. Hmmm.
  24. :$ That's what it was. Good knowledge.
