I think it was too hard for me - it was one of the first FPS I got for the xbox (only really played PC ones before that) and I found it a bit tricky. As soon as I ran into a Big Daddy, I struggled and got annoyed But yeah, it is a cool game. I'm sure I could manage it now I've played enough other FPS (HL2, COD4) to get my eye in.

I never got into Bioshock anyway...

Cheers for the offer but it's OK. I'll get it in a few days - I should be revising at the moment anyway, not playing games...

This download is only for Xbox Live! Gold members

Er what? No they didn't. It's a "secret" bunker that anyone can go and look around? Riiight. I bet there are underground bunkers all over the place that no one in the public knows about.

There was a few clips of some pretty decent riding. But then more than half of the video was you being a arse to some old guy who obviously has mental health issues. Whether or not you're a dick for doing that, I don't really care, but people probably want to see more of your riding rather than an in joke that only a handful of people will get. And yes, I like to Laugh at Science

Also if you are going to the Southern Hemisphere, be aware that the discs will spin in the opposite direction.

Er no? It's too basic for any kind of serious writing, and incompatible with everything else.

Whilst I do love the idea of open source stuff, I don't think Open Office is better than MS Office. Yet. I'm sure it will be, and it's definitely an alternative, but it's still a bit fussy with file types (It didn't like my Word files because they had frames in them).

Yeah, it's a weird one, I've wondered this. I think it's easier to think of a 24 as being a cross between a stock (26") trials bike and a 20" BMX - although obviously a lot closer to being a trials bike than a BMX. Mods don't quite fit in, they're weird. I guess it's kind of a compromise between being able to go fast and roll over stuff smoothly (big wheels are better) and being able to chuck the bike around (smaller wheels better). Quickspider on here has a 1080 (?) wheelbase Heatsink 24UK bike, which he seemed to like. I had a Leeson which was 1040 with a steep head angle (74*) so that felt long-ish too. I preferred my Ashton ET though, which was a lot more chuckable. The other options besides what you mentioned would be Leeson bikes who make custom frames (although I don't know if they are still active?!), and Ciguena made a 24" bike but I don't think they're being made any more. Pretty much every 24" frame on the market these days is basically similar geometry (1040, 72-73, 385), so take your pick!

Yup the files are the same. The only thing would be if the version of Office:mac was newer than the PC one - then it's possible that the file won't work on the old PC version.

You're taking the piss, right?!

I couldn't work out why everyone thought the music was 'mellow', turns out I'd been watching THIS video instead. But when I realised and got the right video, it was awesome. Huge riding as usual, but some interesting bits too, plus good music. And you've (mostly) got rid of those horrible fisheye clips from the older vid

Well, looking at your post and that link, at least one of us is blind. You've bought a component cable, and I'm guessing your TV doesn't accept component in. The xbox was plugged in via composite video (the yellow lead) and the sound was coming through the red and white cables. Two different things, which confusingly use the same jacks.

Yeah, that fad was annoying. Thank goodness it's gone out of fashion and the only people who write it are morons.

I have no idea what you're talking about, and can't really be bothered to guess. Be more detailed / specific?!

Repeated 3 times on the TV? Set the resolution from in Windows? Or have a fiddle in the BIOS if you can, occasionally there is an option.

A lot of laptops have a button you need to press - like function + F7 or something. It's often different and sometimes you would have to reboot with the cable plugged in the laptop, sometimes not etc. So basically read the laptop's manual.

I know I'm two months late to the party, but yeah, Mirror's Edge is cool. Tesco has it for £15 so I bought it, really fun. Been playing through the game and only just discovered the time trial mode which rocks too. Some of the times are stupidly fast though, I REALLY don't get it.

Sounds like your connection isn't fast enough for the amount of data in the video. So having XBMC shouldn't make any difference at all, it would still suffer from the same problems I would have thought. It might be worse because the old school xbox doesn't have the horsepower to crunch high bit-rate videos (if it's h.264 HD or similar). If it's just a bog-standard normal definition video file, are you using wireless for the 360? Because in my experience, it's never quite fast enough for reliable streaming (at least 54g wifi isn't). EDIT: And the answer is no, unfortunately. The 360 is locked down pretty tight which is a shame.

Yup - http://code.google.com/p/xbmc-iplayer/ Just download from the site and copy it into the plugins folder and it'll turn up under video plugins. (N.B. Not 'scripts' - I don't know what the difference is between a plugin and a script, but it has to go into the plugins folder)

Good idea that. I always wanted to try my hand at the Gladiators assault course thing (that they do at the end), maybe you could make something like that and we'd all come and play.
