Like Kris said, you only ever hear about the problems that people have had. On the other hand, a business should probably be judged on the way they handle complaints/problems, and T-UK seems to fail here big-time. The problem is that no one wants to see a rider-owned company fail. When there was a big problem with MarkAnthony, everyone stopped using them but trials was only a small part of their business anyway, and it wasn't run by riders anyway (at least not trials riders). Whereas if a sticky goes up in Trials Chat about T-UK, that would pretty much destroy them, right? Surely 90% of all orders from Tarty/T-UK/Select/whoever come via here, and it would be several nails in the coffin for T-UK. Surely it would be better for everyone on the forum if T-UK can sort themselves out? But I do agree, he is on very shaky ground. He desperately needs to improve his reputation, and the only way that is going to happen is to sort out these issues (and make sure they don't happen again!). N.B. This is just my opinion. I don't know what Tom/Danny think of this.

I think a lot of people get confused as to what they are actually using. Sintered are longer life but less power, this is more of an issue for mountain bikes where pad wear is an issue. On a trials bike, pads last aaaages anyway. I've admittedly only used Hayes organic and sintered pads - but the sintered ones had a LOT less bite. Conclusion: I'd definitely go for organic. They're (usually) slightly cheaper and are more powerful. Maybe the Avid sintered pads are better though?

Yeah it is (8.0.2 to be precise). But I'd be surprised if it didn't work with earlier versions - It's just that they recommend having the latest version for obvious reasons. Just try it and then you'll know...

If you don't like the postage prices, order from someone else. But don't moan about it - £30 seems like a lot but it's clearly just the price of the courier that TrialsUK uses. As for emailing the card details, don't do it. Not because you don't want Dan to have your card details (er, how do you expect him to charge you?!) but because it's not secure.

£30 is about the cheapest I've found recently. Where did yours come from Kris?

I'm pretty sure he makes the stickers as one-offs. I.e. you can choose whatever colour you like when you order the frame, I went for orange which would be an unusual colour to have in stock!

Yeah, I've played LPs before and they sound nice, but I don't like the feel much. They've got sharp edges and are really heavy compared to my Strat. It's obviously just a preference thing, but if I had to choose ONE guitar I'd probably still have a LP because most of what I play (badly) is 70s / 80s guitar music like Led Zep, GnR etc - I.e. Les Paul music

Too right. I've got one of the first Mexican Strats which I got second hand pretty cheap, and it's just brilliant. Feels and sounds far nicer than the new Mex Strats, and to be honest it probably plays nicer than the new American ones too. I've had a couple of other guitars (and played a load more) since I got that and none of them have been half as good. I don't think I'll ever sell it, although I quite fancy a Les Paul to go with it!
