  1. Middle pic, to the left of the bearings. Are you trying to put it in like that? It needs pressing onto the fork. Should tap on easily enough with a mallet and a bit of pipe or something.
  2. Within reason. I'll generally choose a part then pick the best suited colour for it, But if someting was only available in pink or yellow i probably wouldnt bother, i'd go for the next best thing. Im a bit of a tart with setup, I'll spend ages getting my levers at the right angle, and with V's i gotta get the same amount of pull without being spongy. If something creaks i'll take it to bits and sort it out.

    Old School Trials.

Good stuff, i was watching a few recent vids on ehre thinking 'why doesn't anyone roll anything anymore!'
  4. All the bearing cups etc on dead straight? Putting the bearings in the right way round? The race pressed onto the forks straight?

Get your local authority to apply for some sort of youth project grant probably.

If depends entirely on how well you see it through. It took our town nearly 8 years i think because one group of skaters would start going ot the emetings then give up, then another group would do the same, etc.. It took us a year or two form start to finish. The local council were revamping the local rec' so had money set aside for such projects and allowed us a budget. Thats why i suggested the local youth forum (if there is one, should be), they have a budget set aside for projects like this and will also help with fundraising if needs be.

Go to your local council and ask if theres a local youth forum meeting you can attend. Attend the meeting with a few mates and bring the idea up, continue going to the meetings and let it go from there. Get a petition done and signed by anyone you can, random old people on the streets who want you off the streets and in somewhere specific, mates from school/work, parents.. whoever and present that at a meeting when youve got enough names. Research into companies and materials but be realistic with it as from a local authorities point of view its almost certainly going to be metal or concrete due to vandalism, and concrete is pricey, so expect metal. If you plan your own layout don't be a pushover. insist on it, we had ours planned out by my mate and it was a great layout. They turned up one day with a design from some shitty company called 'playdale' and in the end we pissed off and left it to them. They insisted on the ramps being XXX distance apart due to 'legal health and safety restrictions'. I looked into it and they were bullshitting us, they were only guidelines that werent legally enforcable and people only went along with them to make it look like theyve considered the safety aspect. I told the council this and they ignored me. Just be wise to these old busybody morons in their 60's who think they know best, they really dont. You need to insist on them seriously considering your options and back yourself up. If needs be, get a petition against any suggestions they make that you dont like if its serious enough. If you want any more info PM me.
  8. I think a better approash would be through the council, but they get very funny about health and safety and tend to ignore anyones opinion that isnt their own. I'd happily pay a fiver for a days riding in there if it was good enough with enough differing areas.
  9. Serious? I've seen a picture of one fitted with that brace underneath and the usual booster on top where it should be. I thought that thing would be to line up the clamps that hold the slave's as opposed to the L shape pegs on the old style ones. If its a booster than fair enough, i'll chuck it out. Cheers, Tom.
  10. The secretary from work, and who i went to school with. she's also high street honey no 22, but i don't know if its too late to vote or not, its early october sometime that it finishes.
  11. Christ, he's practically sitting on the side of the bike Sidehoppings something i seriously need ot learn properly.
  12. I remember watching some program which followed some homeless guy, can't remember why he was homeless but beforehand he led a perfectly normal life. The biggest problem he had and the one thing that helped him get a leg-up was having an address. With one of those you can apply for jobs, benefits, education.. so i think you've definitely gone in the right direction. What youre doing will set you on your new gameplan, whereas going to some hovel with aload of people who have the wrong attitude may just have got you stuck in the wrong lifestyle. Best of luck with it all.

Also, if theres an Aldi store near you (don't joke, youll see why in a second..) get a job there. They pay around £7 or £8 per hour, and thats on checkouts with the scanners, not memorising everything.

Gotta live DCD's, i found mine earlier but the roller's knackered.
  16. Just getting some chainring bolts to chuck in with my order on CRC, i only need standard length ones not 'long' ones don't i? i assume long ones are for people using inner and middle rings, correct? Cheers, Tom
  17. I always used to love the white 26Mhz's Matt and Ed tongue used to ride, they were sweet., but so is that white leeson. And as everyones posting pics of their bike, one guy once said he had a picture of my (old px) as his PC wallpaper, so ill post a pic too.
  18. Are they the bright yellow ones? Im after silver or black really, as legendary as dayglow yellow is, it won't quite go with the frame im getting edit: also, whats the stupid brace thing the new ones come with, and is it necessary if you dont use 4 bolt mounts?
  19. Cheers, i'll hunt some down and check them out.
  20. Could move in with your grandparents, get a full time job with training (day release at college). You'll be out of their way most of the time, you can save up to get your own place while our still at your grandparents and the company will pay for your travel to college. Seems the logical way, save some money for a good start off, continue at college while still earning a decent amount of money.

Warehouse work? Get to know some people down industrial estates with lots of pallets
  22. Totally agree! Raceline yellow was great, although i quicksilvers on mine. Half the fun of riding a few years ago was spening most of your time fixing the TPA's. Also the echo forks seem to have quite a lot of rake(42mm), anything about more like fattys? I can't seem to find any fattys kicking about.
  23. Cheers for the fork info. CRC have got newish looking ones, not the oldskool oldskool ones. ie these
