yeah it does seem expensive thats what put me off at first but now i have one and have had for some time i really cant fault it its so strong the teeth look brand new id defo buy another and ive not had any chain issues that people thought it would have. i needed cranks for my freeride bike so i bought the super pro trials cranks and bash and sold the bash for like 55 so i got the cranks super cheap (i allready had the super pro trials bash at this time, also if you havnt seen it allready go check the pic of your sx in the gallery ive put a link up to mine)

if you wanted a smaller bash what about the middleburn ti bash there stupidly good and well worth the 70quid, get that and run a rear cassette that would be alot better than the front freewheel.

about the dmr you can space it out, undo the bolt that the jockey wheel is on and space it out with some washers they are great tensioners mine was awsome it just seems to me some people cant set them up right so they dont get on with them.

yeah the ct3 is awsome and for 22 quid from bikedock you really cant go wrong, i just bought mine from leasurelakes for 30 quid so thats a bargain. and yeah just be thankful the chain didnt fall aprt on a drop gap or something.

the single ply would be best unless your stupidly front heavy. about the comps, when you get there you sign in, you get a card and you go to a section. when you at your section just give your cards in to the observer and wait for your name to be called out, its as simple as that. if you have a mate going who knows his way around go with him. my first time i hadnt a clue what i was doing but i went round with some mates.

i should be going, its going to be my first time riding expert looking forward to it. for a front tyre try the highroller single ply from tarty bikes 16 quid i think they are.
