  1. just tried some of those, they don't seem as powerful as sintered pads, I just tried Shimano's sintered pads and EBC reds back to back and the Shimano ones were noticeably better.
  2. Off to see an exhibition of the whole project today, hopefully it's not just a "look what we want to do but we'll never do it" thing and will actually get built.
  3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7noXuCKZDgI I LOVE psychedelic rock!
  4. he's in Europe so won't be at Radfest
  5. It doesn't rain at all up here Mark, all the times I complained was just to make you feel good, Glasgow is the place to be! :wink2:
  6. they might be building this.....http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-28309787 just yards from my front door......oh boy oh boy oh boy!
  7. that video had pretty much everything I hate about BMX in one place, playstation tricks all landed at the bottom of ramps, no style, Mark Webb, gum shields, shit music, shit editing and annoying BMX fanboys. Give me Roey any day!
  8. could watch Vasek ride all day, just wish he didn't spin goofy. Fortunately his flow and style makes up for it
  9. I'm curious to what you'd like different, I don't expect everyone to like the same thing but I'm a little surprised by your views.
  10. by the river somewhere works for me, I live southside
  11. I'm interested if the weather is nice
  12. if I still rode comps I'd pretty much want exactly that bike
  13. Most people tuck to the side of their front foot for sidehops, tucking the other way for hops will help if you want to spin regular
  14. ha yeah, I didn't touch it and I did it with no hand (the bar ends were not straight and it kept on wanting to roll over)
  15. high hops are all about acceleration (how fast you can lift the bike) and technique (how you lift the bike). Being strong helps, the stronger you are the fast you can lift the front end up, this acceleration is very important! The next part is technique, the idea is to lift the front end as high as you need and then scoop the back end up. It will look like you're pushing on the bars but this is just a result of the scoop. To get really high you're going to have to start getting a little twist on the bike to allow the rear wheel to come up to the side of you (like a sidehop tuck). Twisting also minimises the time spent going over the bar as you have less distance to travel. I'd recommend tucking to the side of your back foot (opposite to the sidehopside for most people) as this means you'll get spins easier later without having to do them goofy. this is a picture of me mid tuck at 120cm
  16. 120cm bunnyhop from the weekends show, managed to top the pole out at 125cm a few times but no one got it on camera
  17. I havn't found a better combination than my mum's home made bread thickly cut and toasted in the Aga with a generous spread of butter and then honey from my dad's bees. Seriously tasty!
  18. Thanks JT! Ok, she finally got a reply from him. He explained that he's been busy (training ha!) and apologises for not being in touch but unfortunately he can't refund her money as it was taken in the previous tax year, he's happy to finish the sessions though (how generous). The funny thing is that since my gf asked for the lessons and got no shows from him she's trained as a pt and is now more qualified than him (she's always had an interest so it's not like she suddenly learned stuff). She's off to the gym tonight and is hoping he's there. It's a total piss take as the only reason it's the previous tax year is because he didn't show up to scheduled sessions and then ignored her. After she's given him her opinion I'll post his name, Facebook, phone number, works details and address if I can get it, his life will be a lot easier if he just gives her the £80
