  1. Cool. Are the chainstays shorter than the real pythons then?
  2. Thats a pretty big drop, I wouldnt have done it on your bike! How long have you been riding for?
  3. Wow, that was pretty immense. How long have you been riding for? Even my girlfirend (also a Burrows) was impressed, it must have been good.
  4. I got a Continental Vertical ProTection you can have if you want for £5 plus postage, has tons of grip left, and very light too! Only not using it cos I ride mod now.
  5. Nah, Keita (or however you spell his name) done 176cm and got upto 181cm, but didnt quite make it. It was a few years ago that this happened, for some reason Ive got a feeling it was some German-sounding name. Benito didnt enter this year, but he can probably do higher
  6. Cheers ryan. Could you tell me the chainstay length and the wheelbase? Thanks, Scott
  7. The official gap world record is 10.5 foot, it was done during an event held last year, cant remember who by. The official sidehop over a bar record is 51 inches, held by Benito Ros on a Monty 221, before he picked up sponsorship by koxx, although people have done sidehops a lot bigger than that (especially TRA) The "vertical step" record (highest vertical object to get up) I think is 181cm, and was done a few years ago- by some guy on a monty?? Perhaps someone can clarify this.
  8. Oh right, I thought they were menna come out at the start of the month, and people start recieving them around now? Oh well, it needs someone to review it as soon as they get one.
  9. Yeh thats fine. There is no "certain way" of gapping to front wheel, but the best way I find to do the biggest gaps to front wheel onto small platforms in particular is to NOT roll, but do basically what you did, but without turning. E.g. hold it to front wheel until you are very high into the endo, before letting go of the front brake and trying to front-back, or just go to two wheels.
  10. Hi, I just wondered if anyone has rode one yet, and if they could describe the ride? Also, does it seem light, or heavily built, and how similar is the geometry to the python's? Cheers, Scott
  11. I thought there was supposed to be one coming out with the stock frame...? Damn, probably just rumours.... :) Can anyone certify this?
  12. Hi, I cant find out much about this frame so far.. How much does it cost? How much does the MOD frame weigh? Does it have a variety of wheelbases? Cheers, Scott
  13. Univegas are great, I used to have a univega MTB and it rode really nice. I was asking about them ages ago on here but no-one seemed to know much about them, but I think the one at the top of the page is supposedly very good and rides much like a monty 221. Never seen the XTP-style one though, I wonder if they do frame-only?
  14. I like it. A compy-style 24" for once, that could still be ridden with streety style as its much shorter than a normal t-rex. If I rode stock or 24", I would definately be interested. However I also agree with onzaboymark, I think a 24" woodstock-style bike with higher BB and lower standover would be a bigger hit.
  15. Should be ok. I rode with a 100mm x 23 degree rise stem on my old mod for ages and my riding didnt really change much
  16. The ones to just change the "head size"? Which ones do you mean? I suppose thats the problem really, I want a halemt that fits lower on my head, the xen, although being my head size, just seems to sit ontop my head and not come down the sides, despite the top of my head being firmly in contact with the polystyrene inside (e.g. it cant be pulled down any more) So are the capix helmets lower profile, and will they sit down over my head lower?
  17. Hi, can any of you reccomend me a helmet that is under my £55 budget (a £20 piss pot would be fine aslong as it meets the criteria) that will fit my large head WITHOUT looking ridiculous? Ive got a Giro Xen at the moment, its a £100 helmet but I have hardly ever used it as it really does look ridiculous on me for some reason, because of the higher-profile build on it. Ideally I would prefer a streety-ish styled helmet, like a piss-pot or semi-MX. Are there any low-profile piss-pots out there in large that are comfy enough? What about KOXX helmets..? Thanks for any help, Regards, Scott
  18. Hi, were you the guys who made that "bs_style" video? The guy on the XTP reminds me of the guy on that old film who rode a Univega mod. If its you, congrats on another amasing video, bs_style is one of my all-time favourite videos, and Ive wondered if the riders from it would still be riding or not! How do you find the XTP compared to the Univega? How is it like for hooks, bunnyhops, gapping to frontwheel, etc, compared to the Univega? Ive got a monty 221 at the moment, but considering getting a Czar frame (basically an XTP). Cheers, Scott
  19. Awesome. Does anyone know if Id be able to keep my lil mod bike in halls?
  20. Awesome, So if I go to Soton or Warwick next year, you guys will ride with me? As I mite loose my current riding buds if I go far away (Y)
  21. What was the highlights for you? I actually thoguht maralyn manson was surprisingly good, as were bullet for my valentine, and maiden (if ur into oldskool!)

    Japan

Nice to see Riki Murata's name in there.
  23. What sidehop? Ohhhh I see it... just about... That miniscule lil bugger.
  24. Yeh I kinda agree. I guess its just hard to determine the difference technicaslly between a "tactical dab" and a "genuine dab" where you put your foot down due to loss of balance. It annoys me when people use tactical dabs in comps, Id much rather they werent allowed too.
