You are indeed holding the incorrect end of the stick. I can't remember how/can't be bothered to explain it properly but more pots should equal more power, and also more modulation as mentioned in the description thingy. One thing that does worry me is there's no mention of weight.... I wouldn't mind a set to check out on my Coiler though hehe

My zoo pads lasted a perfectly acceptable amount of time on my grind when I ran them, at least a month I'd say. You poo face. *giggles*

Teenage Angst Communal Agony Aunt Thread

She finished college early so I didn't see her in person. So I called her last night, she's not having any of it, will not believe me and doesn't think I trust her. When I try explaining all I get is sarcastic comments and the same questions/answers over and over, she even hung up on me once . Calling her again later as she went to bed. I have mothertrucking maths exams at 1pm though, wish they'd go away until this is sorted -
Ow my eyes. Looks gash imo and the pics are tooooo large. I hate mods though so I'm a bit biased...

He's a fanny because he's figured out you wanna get on her again? Fair enough. I think Jo may have just tried to call me cos the house phone went off but I was too b*****d slow to pick it up. Don't know wether I actually wanna talk to her over the phone though rather see her in person... If she rings again I'll pick up though, phone's next to me now anyway haha. EDIT: Though I better mention, she hasn't told me and doesn't know I've found out, but on her phone is a text from this Alex basically confessing he likes her in "that" way. -

Last night I made a stupid mistake with my gf of 9 months. The other day she got thrown out of her house by her mum (r.e. happy thread, not cos I was happy about it) and of course was very upset etc and later her brother let her back in and she stayed in her room. She didn't ring me as she said she didn't want me to worry instead she rang another friend. Later that day (I still knew nothing about it) she accidentally sent a text to me bascially saying "thanks for cheering me up, love you blah blah". When I got it I thought it was probably one of her girl friends but I couldn't help thinking because of what's been said previously by her that it might be this guy Alex who she works with. So obviously I was worried/jealous that she was so close with another guy and that she would feel more comfortable confiding in him rather than me. So I have the bright idea of asking her straight who it was she rang Of course it turns out I'm a paranoid twat and it was her friend Haze she called. She got angry with me and thought that I was implying she was cheating on me which I wasn't, just uncomfortable with her relationship with this guy (if she had called him instead) as I said above. I tried calling her later but I think she must have been asleep so didn't pick up. I don't know wether to text her now as it's a bit too impersonal for this or wait til she's finished college and see her on the way to work. ARGGGGGHHHHH I'm a shit -
Limey. It also has a large reach (27.75") but obviously this is going to be alot more manageable than the BT proto. I'm running mine with a 100mm control stem and at first it felt stupidly long but now I really love it. It only has +20 bb though which is a little less than you asked for and is of course a bit more expenisve than a GU (worth it though ) EDIT: Forgot to add, Tarty site says it has 1095 with an Urban fork but mine seemed a *little* longer when measuring As for the stem, changing to a shorter bike with a longer stem won't make it feel the same but may make the change easier to deal with. I'd just stick with what you're running now as long as it's not too short/long and see how you get on with it. Can change to a size you're sure will work after that then (if you need to)

I sent for one but they have given me 2 hahahaha They're both black though I want a browner!!!!!! Would complete the family

People talking about importing Hope and Chris King etc it's probably worth mentioning that mountain biking is becoming massive in Australia atm hence the recent influx of pro riders from there. I'm pretty sure most mainstream frame and component producers will already have importers and several distributors out there already. Also might be worth mentioning that Onza supply all there bikes in frame only options, so it's still perfectly viable to supply custom build bikes and retain Onza's superb value for money.
-
Titanium bolts sounds like a good idea if there is no major importers/producers in your country as they could be sold to all sorts of industries. As mentioned before Onza sounds like a good idea, one of the few brands with appropriate pricing for full bikes

Only the stock forks are particularly high, the mod versions are fine. From what I hear from people with the mod V!Z forks they are very good and certainly strong enough, this is just what I have gathered listening to feedback from other riders though, I have very little personal experience of them. Not heard anything about the GU forks though, they look strong but incredibly ugly and possibly heavy with that lump of CNC work.

Did TRA still have his cast on for some of that video?

Why is everyone saying it's going to be a DH specific brake when it's mounted to a bike with single crown forks, double/triple chainrings (left hand shifter) and what would appear to be a remote lockout lever for the rear shock? Does look very nice though, tempting to buy a set for my Coiler when they come out...

He went back and did it as soon as he could ride again.

I have the orange pads and have been using them for the past few weeks on my new V!Z rim. I have not used a better pad in the dry, excellent lock and hold and are lasting impressively well at the moment. Nice sound too However they aren't too good in the wet so I reckon they're best to be used as a Summer pad. Other than that, brilliant.

"I'm sherriff John Bunnell, and this is the World's WILDEST Police Chases" "He leaves the freeway at a terrifying 13mph and crashes into an innocent tree destroying the homes of thousands of ususpecting inhabitants" One particularily annoying thing : "rowt" Is that like route? Only pronounced incorrectly?

I did it when I was with scouts ages ago. From what I remember it was a piece of piss although the guy did say I was a "natural" pow pow It's an awesome sport and I really should have made more effort to pursue it, ah well guess it saves me from another expensive sport

Oh thanks alot! You've jynxed it now!!!

We can order in anything that Halfords sells, if they say they can't they're just being lazy c**ts. Asking them to order stuff from other stores is a bit different though, cos there's usually delivery charges when doing that. Much, much, much faster than asking them to order it in with stock from head office though (usually...)
-
They're £30, front is 180mm and rear is 160mm. Surprisingly enough, you can get them from Halfords...... The hydraulic one is also only £60. In fact I'd say the majority of Bikeslut stuff is very good value, the handlebars look to be a very good shape, if I had money to burn I'd probably test out their oversize handlebars on my FR bike.
-
Probably worth mentioning that the Saint hub uses oversize center lock fittings which I believe may be different to which the DT Swiss adaptor fits.

That sounds like arm pump not RSI. RSI stays with you for a few days/weeks and tends to be just a painful feeling rather than something which prevents your muscles from operating properly (ie arm pump) I had RSI in my elbows for a while I presumed it was from the combination of a new longer frame (T-Rex), mega wide Pazzaz risers and a mega harsh tapping technique. I just hope it doesn't come back now I have my stupidly long Limey...

I disagree with your point about CK hubs. I don't like mine simply because it's got 72 EPs, it's obviously a big highlight of the hub but other than that it's well known that CKs are arguably the best quality hubs you can buy for a bike of *any* discipline. With my HD axle I know it's probably the strongest hub that will fit 10mm dropout frames. It's one of the lightests rear hubs around. It's simple to maintain (just a quick clean and squirt of lube every 3-6 months). All these points can be applied in a similar way to the freewheel market. Engagement points are important obviously but riders will also take into account quality, strength, weight and ease of maintenance. I'm also confused as to why you have such a problem with Mark's point about degrees rotation required for a freewheel to engage. He was simply explaining how little difference those 36 extra EPs make over the ENO. 1.6666666666 degrees is literally FECK ALL. You will barely notice the difference, if you do it'll be psychological, which in theory could have the same effect as having a considerably better product but in practice also has very little effect. My personal opinion on this however is that Koxx/Try-all have done an excellent job in pushing the boundaries of trials technology yet again. 108 engagement points will instantly attract sales so as long as they match the rest of the points I raised earlier (although it seems even simple maintenance is going to be an absolute fanny to carry out) then it will be a succesful product. Of course I won't be buying one, nothing beats CKs imo
