  1. Why do you keep paying for a bleed? If they do it right it should last a fair while before needing another bleed. Or is your reference to braided hosing a sign that you keep damaging the cables and needing something more durable? Water can only rust it while theres air in there, and besides... their aluminium so they dont rust they oxidise. All water does is allows your break to freeze in extremely low temperatures and leaves the pistons a bit dry (maggie oil keeps them lubed) but its nothing a drop of 3 in one oil every 2-3 weeks can't fix.
  2. 1 finger for me too, gives you more control of the bike and teaches you to set brakes up properly
  3. For movie playback you'll more than likely need up-to-date codecs. Try the all-in-one codec pack... works for me. Theres also a serious and visible difference in the jump from 512mb to 1024mb of ram that can be seen in any demanding applications and in the general speed and responsiveness of the machine. I wouldn't go with under 1gb of ram nowadays anyway (unless its a baragin like yours)
  4. My vote made it even too at 7 votes per answer. [borat voice] I like gloves, they nice. Without gloves, my hands get black. High Five! [/borat voice]

  6. As far as i'm aware they only come with the 4 bolt mount fitting. However for the same thing you can get hold of a pair of magura evo 1 adapters which have offset clamps.
  7. Many people beleive human height increasing is due to natural selection, but this has been proven not to be the case. According to examination of human remains the height of humans didnt really change from the time of cavemen till the 1800's then all of a sudden we start growing. the answer for this? Well recent studies indicate this to be related to the nutritional value of the food eaten during childhood. From the 1800's the humans have grown in height in accordance with the abundance of food, with a dip during the world war era's (probably due to rashions), and modern humans seem to have a slower growth rate whcih is not yet fully understood. Maybe food nowadays isn't as healthy? Maybe theres a physical limit to human height that are genes aren't equipped to cope with. But take country cottages and such for example, the doors, roofs and windows are all far lower than they are today because the human race has grown an average of 10" over the past 150 years. I like to think i'm at the forefront of evolution nowadays at a nice pioneering 6'5". To me 24" bikes is how i imagine mods feel to most people, a 29" bike would be ideal.
  8. I don't mean onboard graphics per'say... just a vga line out so you can run the computer on like 800x600 with 12 colours. I don't mean an onboard graphics solution thats capable of playing games and stuff. My mobo has one, my mates has one, my cousins has one... i thought they were standard.
  9. It doesnt have any onboard graphics at all? Pretty much every motherboard has it.
  10. The x1300's are crap, dont get one. If you are spending £100 or so on a graphics card then get a 7600gt... thats the same as mine, its a beast... you'll love it. Get the leadtek one though because they overclock like crazy so give you a much better card for your money. You not got onboard graphics that you can boot into widows with, to make sure it definately is your card. Move the screen cable to the onboard socket and take out the graphics card. Hit the del button or f2 or whatever on startup to enter the bios and enable onboard graphics. If it boots up into windows its your graphics card, if not its your motherboard.
  11. Wally had one when he came out riding last week. Seemed to be doing the job alright, you could ask him how he's getting on with it.
  12. I'd love a 1300 wheelbase 29"'d frame. I'd be able to see how normal long bikes feel to everyone else
  13. Aren't blisters caused by frictional rubbing on the skin? To stop them... stop the rubbing. I don't honestly know what kind of blisters your on about, as your post was minimalistic at best, but if you on about blisters on your hands as opposed to burn blisters, shoe blisters or just blisters in general... then your going to have to stop the rubbing. If you wear gloves it might be that their too thick, or too thin. Some gloves have areas of padding around the callus area to prevent such blisters. If your not wearing gloves maybe think about wearing some? Try to loosen your grip on the bars slightly? Eventually though the blistered skin scars and becomes a callus, so it wont hurt much anymore.
  14. Pete's "e-mail" EDIT: Found this snippet as well pdf page of details Notice how he says they've already done it. You really didnt think about this blag properly did you pete... AGAIN!
  15. Pete, they have a picture of the thing starting to fly in one of the pictures you posted. What more could they need you for? ITS ALREADY HAPPENED! EDIT: Just looked on their site... You notice how this text and the text you had in your e-mail is all written in the past-tense?
  16. Theres a couple i bashed out a while ago, i should take the camera out riding a bit more.
  17. Thats what i was thinking, this looks like a much better way of adjusting the pad position. No more randomly slow returning pads and having to wait for one to hit the rim before the other.
  18. I dont have a spellchecker Besides... I was closer
  19. Lmao neumonia? I went out for a ride last night after chatting to beau on msn (around 3-4 in the morning) In just jeans and a t-shirt. I can honestly say there was no point at which i felt cold. EDIT: i can't actually make it this weekend... i've left my uni essay too late and i need to get it done. I'll be up for next weekend though.
  20. I think he's on about the ones with the disc mount tab on the frame.
  21. You've got some wimpy gangsters in your area. I'd say more kind of a pokemon/digmon type cartoon character with your scarf over your face and side swept emo hair.
  22. I would be inclined to think thats its been stolen. I mean, its not got onza hog rims, ones blatantly an echo rim. Just having a fron disc would be more than enough for the stupidist of genuine owners to put on. Theres a few riders in peterborough, maybe one of them knows whose bike it is.
  23. Ask your parents whats cheaper... a new hub or a full teeth and jawbone reconstruction at a private clinic. Plus the hours of treatment and recovery, possible permanent nerve damage and traumatic experience. People have died on bikes with less than a freewheel breaking. Go and have a look at the Island Style DVD. Theres a bit where someone bunnyhops into a wall thats only half as bad as what could happen if your freehub broke mid gap. Get an ENO though, or even a tensile freewheel. The thread on the tensile lockring is designed not to unscrew when run as a front freewheel.
