  1. Looks quite nice, more importantly though, how well does it ride?
  2. Comodo Firewall and AVG 7.5. They're the only two things you'll need. Maybe adaware at a later point, but its not essential. Bugdoctor is quite good too, but this only sorts spyware and missing program links etc.
  3. Disc all the way... my maggie was aweful, as soon as i got a disc i was hooked. Never going front vee or maggie again. And to people saying you can really bend them, you can break just about any part and not be able to ride home. Snap your rim, break your axle, snap your bars/stem, snap your bb. Why's having a disc much more of a problem? PLus, my avid one has been quite strong... when i was riding natural a while ago i used the rotor to keep the front of my bike on a rock, no other part was touching the rock just te rotor. I've also landed on it before on rocks and its been fine. They're not as fragile as you would think.
  4. I can't read the text and type without making 10 or so mistakes
  5. Ha ha, don't listen to your dad. You need pressure in there... or at least a seal, so that when you take the cable off the lever all the fluid stays inside the lever due to the vacuum. You really should have bled it yourself, its not difficult in the slightest. And if you didn't have proper magura oil, vegatable oil would have worked.
  6. I was gonna say the same, take a link out your chain and run it with the tensioner nearer your chainstay.
  7. ODI Longneck grips... my bike just doesn't feel the same without them. Last 4 pairs of grips i've bought have all been longnecks. Probably my rear maggie, or at least A rear maggie... as i don't know how long this one will last for. Plaz CRM's... tried other pads, and always come back to these.
  8. Thats the way i've always done it too. Works alright.
  9. That looks very smart, very good mates of yours there. Do they ride or do you only know them from work. Very good present to give someone you've not seen in a year
  10. Re-read it... at no point did i question whether you knew or not, i was just writing it down for the benefit of other members should they not know. Plus modstock is easier to say then twenty-six-inch-mod. Get off your f**king high horse all the time and chill out. You take the piss out of anyone you can, which i can only assume you do to make up for your own inadequate opinion of yourself to try and make yourself feel better. not everyone knows everything, don't have a go at them if they say something that you feel they should know.
  11. I think that looks horrible. I just generally don't like the square bent down tube and i dont like the flat "bit" for a seat tube. No point commenting on the second as its not real an' all.
  12. I've used the ebc reds... they were okay but didn't really grab as much as i had been led to beleive. I've been told by a couple of people, think bigman was one... that the golds are much grabbier with the same hold. All i can say is never buy fibrax ones... their way beyond crap.
  13. Ha ha, what do you do take pictures of yourself/relatives?... can't say i've ever seen a home one
  14. Like what? If he doesn't hand over any money till he has HIS bike back he's not going to lose anything is he.
  15. To be fair, the majority of people who find t-f via a google result are only really interested in the information they need. I've read many posts on many forums looking for answers to different things over the past couple of years. Not joined any of them.... most people are the same. Its simple, people read the information, either find it useful or not, then leave.... they generally dont stick around.
  16. Aren't the green ones organic? Well any pair of organic pads i've had have sucked majorly. And most places suggest that sintered pads should only be used if your brake came with them originally as they get so hot, which is fine in trials as we're not dragging them as we bomb down a hill at 30mph. He might have been trying to fob you off with greens as their the ones no-one wants. You sure by trials he didn't mean XC Time trials? as the greens are perfect for XC use, long life, good wet weather performance. Heres the link to the pads at wiggle, ebc reds are the soft ones but they never really amazed me with their performance.
  17. Sod all those replies... ebc golds from wiggle. Ebc red pads are good but the gold sintered ones are even better. P.S. Plazzie disc pads are like the maggie pad cersions, yellow ployurethane so their crap in the wet. Also wear down pretty quick with a normal drilled rotor as they need a flat smooth rotor.
  18. Ha ha, i wasn't at the computer... Right... Then Anyone else notice riding in the house leaves your tyres really clean?
  19. Yeah but i think their designed for jump bikes, which usually have suspension... put rigids on and it alters the geometry of the bike so the jump bike rigid forks are slightly longer.
  20. Mostly locally, i don't ride often enough to get bored with the same old stuff... and i don't particularly enjoy going long distances to go do the same thing on a wall somewhere else. Riding inside the house is also fun weird as hell, but fun. Anyone else ride in the house when you get the chance?
  21. You have a sexy bike.... very nice!

  22. Looks very nice, any easier or any harder to ride with you being used to a flicky monty?
  23. Well Mod and stock sound funny in their own right... make sense but still sound stupid. Mod, i guess... means modified for trials. Stock... originally meant a stock bike (unmodified for trials) Modstock..... a stock bike modified for trials.... guess we'll just have to get used to another silly word. Bike looks very nice though, good job.
  24. The lengend that made trials shack. Need i say more..... Well.... he's super helpful and his p***-take posts are funny as hell.
  25. No you can't tell them that. Because of the wide variation in computer specs they have to legally cover themselves otherwise people would be able to buy a pc game install it, find a crack so you don't need the cd then take the game back. What you'll have to do is say you had it bought for you twice as a christmas present and would like to exchange it for something else. Note how i say exchange? GAME don't let you have a refund on pc games, only store credit. Don't know whether they can or not but they do, if theres nothing else yiou would like you could always get something a friend was after and then get them to pay you back. Sorry, but all i got was a store credit and they assured me there was a strict no refunds policy on pc games.
