i've seen tuff guys in matt black, they are usually around the 40quid mark try supercycles/tartybikes for them alternatively, get some other forks and spray them matt black that way you can choose the correct fork for you (although for the price, you cant really get much better than tuf guys, unless you go secondhand) good luck

fatties, hope xc, dt db spokes, d521(ex721) and an avid juicy 5/7 in 18mm=a bloody good and light setup not far off what i run, except i have a ceramic d521 with an avid ultimate v brake now cos its pimp

doing a move, and looking back, thinking 'holy shit' i made that! its a good feling when you achieve something bigger and better than what you have done before, really spurs you on to keep trying that applies to most things though-like school, work, whatever at the moment my trials riding is going nowhere cos ive been concentrating on the street/freeride stuff far more, i just dont enjoy trials as much at the moment, but im sure when summer coems along and everyone else gets there bikes out, ill be back out on it and i will get that feel good factor back
-
i wouldnt really bother? t pros seem to be good frames, maybe moving to a zona zip may help? how about upgrading your current bike a tad, improve the feel and quality of it, even respray it, itll breathe life into the thing and make you wanna ride it more-or at least that works for me cos it looks/feels like a new bike
-
they mean just the rotor or at least i hope they do....
-
im wet with excitement i hope this all goes to plan, wish i had the same kinda luck with my old bike never know, you may have found somebody whos performed many a theft and other illegal activities-make you feel kinda special then is there anything you can do in terms of the 'emotional distress' of you pride and joy being stolen? any way of gettin some sort of compensation from him?

juciy 7, 185, no need for any bigger

who gives a f**k? im happy as long as im on a bike and im riding steet and natural both rock my socks, theres no point in narrowing your choices down to one

cheers shaun, i wasnt even going to consider a shitmano chain, mainly due to the annoying link pins, i also never use the split links, as ive had nothing but trouble with them its not hard to carry a chain breaker anyway so it seesm to be down to sram or whipperman now it seems, whippermans look very tempting, and seem to have a ganeral good review over all their range, whereas sram have the occasional wank chain it seems
-
whippermans do look tempting, i have had the cheaper 8spd sram chains-15odd quid a time, and they lasted ok....i snapped 1 link a month roughly, which wasnt too bad for me at the time, but instead of buying a new chain i used to just rejoin it with a fresh link do kmc make any good 9spd chains? just that the kool chain is soooo good, so im guessing they cant be too bad?

currie is right, it'll be hard to make a living out of games get in touch with the princes trust, they will help you get started, you may qualify for a grant, or at least a loan(4grand low interest) and they give you free buisiness tuition, i used them, and they have helped me a long way, although i decided againt the loan, as its just another way to get in debt, im gonna do it all myself well when i get the chance to start properly good luck chap

yeah i sometimes do, its good to take in a variety of styles, it broadens your imagination and skills, which you can then apply to your own riding, i really enjoy riding all types of bikes, and it certainly helps that i can take skills from each kind to the others and makes me a better rider in general, although a bit of a jack of all trades-not good at 1 thing, just ok at everything generally bmxers moves are applicable to trials, so you'll certainly be able to keep up with them moves wise, except when it comes to using pegs.......seeing as only a handful of trials riders use them
-
i hope that was a joke
-
ok when i say money isnt an object i didnt quite mean spending that much considering i would change the chain regularly(every 2 months seems ok?) to reduce unecessary sprocket wear that chain looks to be ok, and isnt a bad price, any reason to spend a few quid more and get a pc991?
-
ha ha maybe, although its siting hapily on my 24 right now ill see if i can afford to get a pimped out hayes yet and let you know
-
money isnt really an object, well within reason, i will pay more for something that'll last and be safe
-
i would haave to agree, my last serenade is the tits, but the others song havent really done it for me
-
same i got it, didnt need it, but it was always nice to have shite system though, it always seems to go to the wrong people, like myself to be honest, but as it was there, i dont see why i shouldnt take advantage of it? much like if a beautiful woman was laying next to you in your bed, naked-it would be rude not to....
-
v or disc i think disc wins overall, due to the extra power and looks, but i really like my front v at the mo, it holds so well not much modulation though i may try my old juicy again, but it means running a different wheel and i like my one i have
-
righty not for a trials bike, but i want a strong chain all the same, but im unsure as to what to get? i have a bit of a fear of weak chains, which as really put me off running 9 speed, but trouble is its too costly to go to 8speed now cos id have to change loads, otherwise id run a kmc kool so what do you recomend? its for my kona stinky, and itll be running on a roadie cassette ive looked at whippermans, does anybody know where they stock the coloured ones, cos thatd be pimp any help would be much appreciated cheers, paul

whats your budget? what wheel size do you run? whats you style? dmrs seem to have a tendancy to snap rather easily compared to the competition-but they are good frames in general, but for jumping/street, steel is where to go the 24/7 slacker is great value for money, and they ride like a dream 24 specific though the new charge frames are supposed to be bloody good too, i really like the looks of them, same with static frames if alloy is your boat, then i would always recomend a specialised p2/p3, i loved mine to bits, it handled sweet as a nut, even if the bb is a bit low for streety stuff(i coped) 250quid will get you a very good frame that will last, its worth saving the extra i ride a comencal vip 24 frame now(sposed to be pretty rare, bloody expensive too!), and its amazingly nice, the geometry is spot on, trouble is the likelyhood of finding another is pretty low

if they are'nt out yet, then how can they have broken? use your noggin matey... the protos did break, but thats no surprise, as they were trying out new ideas and stuff-it happens as for skipping when first used, most hubs have a tendancy to do that, as perusual with hopes other hubs, i would recomend taking the grease out and filling them with oil, makes them engage far better, good luck if you do get 1, and keep us in the know how its doing
-
oh you.........

glad to see somebody with sense who likes v brakes righty, best brakes by far are avid ultimates, they are now only 50 quid each (used to be 100!) and i love all of mine to bits, stupidly powerful and smooth however, on a budget i would recomend avid sd7s, they are really good and served me very well dont bother with deore, they seem to fall apart if you want some lx or xtr cantis, i have some for sale, so gimme a pm levers wise, ultimate or xtr are the only ones i would ever use, sd7 and xt are ok, but its worth spending the extra for the quality and feel of the others cables wise, get odyssey linear slicks, they are cheap and have really good stiff outers that increase the power of the brake over most available and as for pads, its between plaz spanish flies and crvs, i find crvs to be top notch but perhaps a little too good upfront, or try getting some heatsink backings, as they allow you to run any magura pad in them well hope thats helped a little
