  1. They do have the teeth on the outer ring , the pawls and springy bits sit in the middle. ok, blind conjecture time... I figure they're most likely to increase the engagement by adding offset pawls rather than trying to fit extra tooth thingies in. If you only relied on 2 pawls engaging at once you could do it easy - You could probably convert an eno to 108ep if you indulged in a bit of jiggery pokery with a grinder. edit: Ah yes, if you read the thread properly you can see that hobnobs already figured that out

    Having 2 Jobs

They're not going to tax you any more than if you had one job that payed the same as the two unless the combined wage takes you into the higher band of tax - which it won't because £300 = 15k = low tax band = 25% tax plus about 11% National insurance.
  3. you're alright. I was 25 when I started (27 now) . It sucks being shown up by 15 year olds on rides

  5. The only good reasons I've ever heard for running FFW are .... It allows you to run small cogs for clearance - which has been covered here. The other reason is that it allows you to adjust your pedal position when your chain is stuck on rocks or a log or something.
  6. This from the man who wouldn't come out because it was too cold
  7. the remote thing *should* work on anything with infra-red that runs J2ME apps (most recent nokia and sony phones). I had a different one on my p910 for a while but the novelty wore off after about 5 minutes . on a vaguely related note - somebody's released druglord for j2me phones. that game rules
  8. I know exactly what you mean - I work 9 till 6 5 days a week, I live with the missus and I've got my own house so theres feckall time left for riding after all the domestic duties (well, not if I want my share of special hugs anyway) plus I'm usually completely knackered in the evenings. I try to force myself out for an hour or so a couple of times a week on my own if necessary - no matter how knackered I am - and then go for a large one on the weekend with my chums. I tell myself it's to gain more stamina for further special hugs if it's a matter of motivation.
  9. I'd deffo go for the echo stem with zoo bars - high front is good, low front is bad I'm running t-master (similar shape to the echo - not quite exactly the same if you look closely) with zoo bars and 2cm of stackers under it on my t-poo and it feels lovely. The zoo bars give you loads of adjustment depending on what angle you run them at so its pretty unlikely you won't be able to give yourself a lovely setup
  10. Respect due for having the (massive) balls required to come out in public mate. that said, you ride stock so you were halfway out already
