    Before Bed

i dont. ever. its evil and makes your palms hairy instead, i meditate and ask the universal spirit for forgiveness of my sins . then i try to have my girlfriend up the bum, get told not to do that anymore and go sleep on the sofa in a sulk
  2. eno are here www.sidewayscycles.com - click the white industries link on the left to find them. mine turned up next day with free postage so u might get it by xmas if you're lucky
  3. v8's or similar but instead of using the shabby little pins you get with the pedals go down the hardware shop and buy 3/4 inch grub screws and put them in instead.. mmm bitey. i nailed myself to a pallet with them on sunday..
  4. they come in different axle sizes. and there are several models to choose from unless your bike is weird you probably want the smaller axle.
  5. happy birthday - if it makes you feel better, you're not the oldest on here by a long chalk .
  6. 'ever since i met your sister I've been wondering which of you is better in bed.'
  7. "If i gave you 30quid would you suck me off?"
  8. get it cut like Mr T its clearly the best haircut in the world.
  9. nothing constructive from me. I've been dodging it for 9 years cos im too scared ill run someone over. good luck to you though...
  10. well, if you're tight like me get the eno - and make sure it has a warranty. even if it does cack out you can buy another new one before you've spent more than a profile
  11. sorry, that probably came out wrong. I wasn't casting aspersions on your honesty I promise. This isn't a good time of year to be sending anything by post, I've worked in a sorting office at christmas and its fooking horrible.
  12. I washed my bike once. I didnt take anything off and it seemed fine afterwards. I wouldn't worry about regreasing anything unless you used some sort of evil degreasery industrial soap stuff. then again - I have only done it once so i may not be the best person to listen to ...
  13. erm. if its a GSM only phone then a CDMA (3g) sim won't work in it and vice versa - no matter how much unlocking you do. still - glad to hear you aren't a nasty thief cos my sister's buying your bmx
  14. thats the theory. Mine was rideable straight away and hasn't gone wrong yet
  15. mine hasn't skipped at all (must be about a month now) the theory goes like this... ride it till it gets all quiet and mushy then open it and clean the shit out. It'll get quieter as goo seeps out of the bearings into the pawls/ratchet bit - it'll eventually start to skip if too much gets in.
  16. I'm being serious, sort of. Work on balance all the time you're on your bike - ride along kerbs and roll over benches on your way to the shops / rides / college etc. do manuals everywhere as well. I've only really been riding proper for about a year and I'm finding that my appalling sense of balance is the biggest obstacle I'm facing - it screws you on sidehops cos you can't get a good foundation to hop from, it screws you when climbing stuff cos you cant stay on the backwheel solidly enough to bounce or gap properly after you've pedalled up stuff etc. etc.
  17. riding through the town centre on a saturday is a great way to improve balance and control at low speeds. The presence of pushchairs and grandmothers adds a little spice.
  18. If you can afford the profile and you like them you might as well go for it but the eno will cost you half the money and save you a lot of effort.
  19. "Don't scream, I've got a knife"
  20. There's a few of us in Cambridge that ride at least a couple of times a week. Not that there's much to ride on. drop me a pm if you're planning on coming in any time.
  21. I can't do christmas day - boxing day is a bit hit&miss cos of the hangover/rotten wind situation and Ill be going back to sunny cambridge for the 31st. I promised i'd go get pissed in london one day that week as well but i can arrange that around riding. that leaves the 26th(probably), 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th That said, I may have to back out in the end cos I did my wrist on the weekend and its still all hurty (b*****d slippy skateparks). edit.... yup - have to back out. i went out earlier and wrist is dead. sorry everyone

    Overclocking

thats a good point - for example, a pair of 6600gts should in theory give you about the same sort of benchmarks as a single 6800 ultra on most older games (Far Cry or older). For newer games like quake4 you're probably better off with the single 6800ultra as it has a 256bit memory interface which you need if you really want run at high resolutions with FSAA turned on. my dual-core gigabyte 6600gt (SLI on one card) will let me run quake4 at 1024x768 with FSAA comfortably but when I go higher res it starts to get upset. basically - if you want real power make sure it has a 256bit memory interface (6800, 7800 etc.) and don't buy ATI cos the drivers are complete cack . Oh, I dont want to start an Nvidia vs ATI fight. I've got Nvidia at home and ATI at work. The ATI is a better card on paper but the drivers are always awful.
  23. I regret not wearing a jimmy hat when i had the dirty nurse girl, and the other dirty girl. a guilty 3 month wait for an aids test isn't something i like doing - and it doesn't get any better the 2nd time
  24. yay! more mod riders. good lad mod is proper - don't listen to all that rubbish about stocks being better, the wheels are the wrong size and they have dangly bits that break off (before i get shed loads of abuse .. im not being entirely serious ) once you get the bike go look at www.trashzen.com - it'll teach you to ride it properly. oh, and buy some shinpads
  25. i get it through gloves on an 05 maggie lever - trials hurts in weeny little ways that annoy me
