  1. right, sod fathers day. i wanna ride. whos out? where? and what time? folkstone? herne bay? where where where!!!! let me know people
  2. im not sure whether its cutting edge or not but what i do know is that it is quite possiblly one of most fantasticlly welded/put together frame ive ever seen, the workmanship is superb - I think it looks stunning and not a hint of CNCing in sight! TOP JOB! BUT.. ''2 wheeled machines they call bicycles'' , you mean our bikes? with 2 wheels, cranks, brakes, bars, stem, tyres etc.... just like an erm..... BIKE!!!! EDIT - sod the frame, have you seen that abi chick on the homepage? keep you damn titanium, im going for the lady skin everytime!!!! jeeeeez, shes wonderful!
  3. Frankly, ackrigg could ride my nans folding shopper with the basket still attached and still kill it......... so er..., who really cares what he rides? and as for 'joe public' , a bike is a bike. sure they notice the lack of seat and small cogs but it is quite obviously still a bike. I think the whole 'standard look, seat and gears' idea has its benefits as the majority of people will have bikes that appear simlilar to this and allows them the realisation as to what is physically achiveable on a push bike. 'long, low and silver' on the other hands doesn't detract from the fact that feats of astonishing riding are capable on a bike, it simply portrays a need for a specific machine to aid in such a manner of riding. You wouldn't do motorcross on a moto GP bike now would you? god, too many big words.....my head hurts
  4. Thanks for all the input chaps. After speaking to the Tarty boys, looking here and various other sources , i settled on the 05 levers in fetching silver. i also bought black 4bolt echo control forks to run them properly and they are now on the bike, cut to length and setup perfectly. Im running cnc heatsink cousts on the rear with grind on onza rim and heatsink booster and plazmatic crm's on front with onza rim, the one with holes in the sidewall! its hilarious. makes the most individual nose ever when i drag the brake, its like spokey dokeys on LSD but i feel its having a 'cheese grater' effect on the pads , Ah well, new rim as well then! I like the feel of the levers. very positive and taught although the actual blade itself seems a tad short to me but im sure ill get used to it... All in all, pretty pleased with them, just need a real good ride to thoroughly test them. Once again, Thanks to all, much appreciated.... MrSuave
  5. clicky manual!! - products/HS33/download/ about page 9 i thinks If you buy the magura bleed kit you get 2 little white plastic bits that you put in a vice, clamping the hose tight and then you tap in spur with a mallet - it goes on pretty easy with them
  6. will be purchasing a shiny new set of maggies tomorrow and wanted to know what is most peoples preference??. I myself have always enjoyed the 04' stlye but the tpa's are rather tempremental and non of my riding buddys have the 05 levers so have yet to try them. any help and feedback muchly appreciated. Cheers.... MrSuave

  8. well, er yer. Fred, Pete and myself are in, who else? we need to see what day and location is best for the majority and then sway our decision that way. riding starts at around 6PM till the pub calls. PS - dont forget funky choice of underwear is required to ride with Fred. MrSuave

  15. there is one team who have been promoting trials across the UK , europe and the world for over 7yrs now. All team members wear the same highly sponser decorated jerseys, ride the same basic bikes and even wore full lycra suits one season! although they dont do too many comps i garantee you they have done more trials shows in more towns and citys in the UK than anyone and for some reason are always overlooked ? Perhaps they dont have the biggest name riders but they do a huge amount for the sport. Mind you, riders to have been and gone and some still present - Tim Pratt Jon Shrewsbury Jack meek Rich johnson chris towes si harvey si sagar matt barlow steve thompson........ Not a bad line up Check em out - www.m-a-d.co.uk

Cheers for all the help people...... pop'd into halfords today and had a look at the bell, i liked the simple design but was after something that sits more snug - it didn't seem to fit my weirdo head all that well The capix may well be the one then by the sounds of things so im off to order away! Thanks again....

  20. right.... I am frankly, fed up with looking like a roadie in my MET 5th element although its safe and light and keeps my head cool i just cant handle looking like a pillock. SO, i fancy a pisspot style bmx/skate lid but im struggling with choice, a few friends run the pro tec bucky lazek one without the polystyrene and there pretty cool but cant find anywhere in the uk that sells them as apparently there 'illegal' over here and friends bought theres in the states , have also spied a pro-tec old school one which is lush but again cant find one anywhere in a medium But, i did find one by specialized called a 'skillet' on wiggle and thought it was a bit different but cant make my mind up whether its cool or not. IN CONCLUSION - i want a cool looking, lightweight skate/bmx lid so please give your suggestions and a hint at where to get it and ill have a gander and thankyou in due course. i spankyou muchly

  22. water, coke, cooking oil, badger spit.......... use the 'search' and youll soon see
  23. find your local bearings and transmission supplier, go see them and buy an insert to suit your pedal thread diameter and pitch (little fat brass looking things with threads in one side and knurled bit otherside), youll have to drill out your existing crank thread then whack this in with a hammer, your pedal with thread in perfectly and you wont have to buy new cranks and the insert will cost about 20p. very similar to getting a tensile insert except you save a good few quid
  24. hmmmmmmmmmm.............
