  1. If it's anything like the Golfs/Leons/etc of the same vintage, then locking modules tend to fail on them. You can pull them apart to replace the microswitch and/or brittle solder which fails, but it's easier/more convenient to just pick up a replacement (eBay ones are typically just as good as OEM) and swap them over. I've one a couple on Leons over the years and it's usually a case of door card off, inner door card off and you have access. For reference, here's a post shamelessly half-inched from the Briskoda forum: "The two microswitches just above my index finger sense the key being twisted one way or t'other; the two in the middle of the pic feed back the motor's effect on the mechanism, and the one out of shot on the ends of the red and blue wires senses whether the door is open or closed." Hardest bit is getting the door open so you can get in there and replace the module. May have to try and dismantle door card if you can't access all the usual screws in the lower edge/similar. Worth a read of some of the threads on that forum (such as this one: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/193291-remove-and-repair-deadlocked-rear-door/ ) to help diagnose the cause a little more accurately before pulling it apart
  2. Nor does your attitude towards this forum. The topic is 6 years old. You'll get over it.
  3. Best way to get over one girl is to get under another. Go find yourself another f**king nutter.
  4. Haven't you sacked her off yet? Get off TF and go break her (black, ice cold) heart already. Live stream it for the rest of us. Wear an earpiece if you're up for us dictating the breakup for you to deliver.
  5. I mean, I'm looking for the common denominator here and I hate to say it but...
  6. Such a cool setup
  7. Yarp. Did the bottom section of the house and some of the top at the back about 6 weeks ago, never got around to doing the rest. Need to swap out a wishbone and some bushes on the Golf, so will get that squared away then give it all a good clean again
  8. My bin men > Your bin men
  9. Card in blue bag, plastic bottles/cans in white, compostable in brown bin, vehicle shells loose. Ours don't take glass, which I expect to be the only possible reason they won't take the Leon
  10. Bin day today. Wonder if they'll take it.
  11. Please don't. Trials vids are short enough as it is, there is absolutely zero point in making a "trailer" for anything that's barely longer than a trailer itself. If you were producing a 30 minute banger (think TM1/2 style) then it might be a good idea, but given you're wanting to get into vlogging you really don't need one.
  12. Let's just bloody push it back. 5 years should do it
  13. You still need a capital "I" when used as a first person pronoun. If you're genuinely taking this seriously, then good luck. You're clearly a capable rider, but the rest of your approach really needs some work
  14. HEY MIKE IT'S BEEN 6 HOURS AND NO UPDATE WHAT ARE YOU DOING I HOPE IT'S SOMETHING EXCITING PLEASE SHARE IT WITH US AS SOON AS YOU CAN WE'RE ALL ON THE EDGE OF OUR SEATS
  15. Given that most riders still use ISIS, or even square tapered bottom brackets, I wouldn't expect anything soon
  16. IIRC the bulk of the exhaust is complete, though I can't remember if they've got a full downpipe section squared away yet (in fact, have they even completely figured out engine placement/similar?) Given the time taken focussing on the small details in each component, I don't think it's worth the time trying to figure out what's left in terms of getting it functional as we all know they won't stop at that level
  17. @Tom Booth might be the best man to advise on this
  18. Let's move it on a touch then - when do people think projects might be road legal?
  19. Can always postpone until the summer/whenever folk will be able to do it. Might risk it going the way of almost every other TF event ever though... Would be nice for folk to have their cars all sorted though, given how many people have projects nearing kinda-useable.
  20. Depends what you want to achieve, really. From memory those were fun little bikes and would be a good laugh on streety stuff, but they are relatively dated now of course. The good thing is that with trials being rather behind the times compared to the rest of the MTB world, compatibility won't be a huge issue on the most part. Looks like you're stuck with a rear vee on that frame, which some would be put off by so you'll need to make the call there. If it's for occasional use and just having a bit of fun on, I'd keep it mostly as is and enjoy it as a (presumably) cheap bit of fun. Switch out the contact points (bars/stem, grips, pedals) to tailor to yourself and leave the rest until you've ridden it enough for niggles to present themselves. If you're wanting to get back into trials a little more then ride it as is for a while, until you're able to pick up something a little better specced and you're golden
