  1. Will do a proper post at some point, but yeah, finally pulled out both my finger and an engine: Even managed to get things back in and drive it home again too: (albeit with no exhaust, intake or charge pipework, which made for a seriously loud tide home and some interesting looks...!)
  2. Glad you're in a better state of mind, but dude. Seriously.
  3. How about everyone just draws a line under it instead of getting butthurt and gets on with their lives?
  4. What levers are they, JT? Most decent MTB brakes have relatively short levers these days, with the exception of trail brakes etc as usual. Can you move the shifters inboard at all? Often possible to play around with them, and even swap L&R mounts across if they are indeed attached rather than integrated
  5. From what I can make out, she walked into the road without looking, playing on her phone and not paying attention. He shouted, she didn't hear and carried on into the road. He shouted again and she finally looked up, jumped back towards the pavement but he'd already swerved that way (his left, presumably) to avoid contact. Unfortunate, but she seems largely at fault on paper. Seems a bit of a pitchforks and torches affair.
  6. We're all old and boring now. Everyone's in bed by 8:30 these days.
  7. Don't. She's an ex for a reason, stop being into her.
  8. Not long enough to spot you were replying to a thread that died off over three years ago though
  9. At least it's a quick and painless task to put right for a retest - small patch being the more awkward of the bunch but if you have someone lined up already you're golden
  10. I'd have thought most decent engineering/machining places should be able to hook you up. That said, I wouldn't expect it to be overly cheap to have done. Don't have anywhere through work who can make your life glorious?
  11. Typically moving to a larger rotor on an otherwise unchanged setup will give you more power/bite, but is a little harsher on parts as a result. So long as the larger rotor will physically fit the frame ok then the Inspired should be meaty enough to hack it without any concerns, though you may experience a little more spoke flex depending on how sturdy your wheelbuilds are. The MT2s are a reasonable enough entry level brake and a larger rotor/aftermarket pads may be enough to beef them up for some casual use, but if you still find them lacking then it may be time to look at moving up the range a little
  12. You certainly appeared to be enjoying yourself. Adele just went with it too, many win points to her.
  13. Took girlfriend to church Left with wife Drove up to a field Threw a massive party (and some serious shapes) Whisked her off the FrogLand for a few days A good time was had by all. Shout out to @Prawny Baby, @Bigman, @Ash-Kennard, @Rich Hill, @Rich Pearson, @Ben Moore, @Mowgli, @joe seddon, @J.KYDD, @RobinJI, and anyone else on TF I've forgotten for making it f**king excellent.
  14. Have you ever considered doing some kind of electrical engineering course, Rowan?
  15. I hate to break it to you, but I don't think you've cut them all the same length.
  16. You can pick up a lot of car for £4k, so might need to narrow it down a touch further. If you'll continue to do 350mi/wk then looking at something derv is certainly wise, though if it's only a temporary/shortish term thing then I'd lean back towards something petrol again. I've just come to the end of a 3 month stint of doing ~600mi/wk using the LCR and other than a slightly increased fuel bill (yeah I said "slightly" and I'm sticking to it, shhh) it's far from the end of the world. Something along the lines of an A3 or a 1/3 series depending on size wouldn't be a bad shout. Nor would giving me your LC so I can finally have the Platinum Grey one I've always wanted.
  17. How many jukeboxes can you squeeze in the back
  18. You are such an old school Yank Looks tidy dude.
