1 - Alex has lived and ridden in Plymouth for however long, and knows you better than Me and Darren put together. How is it low and crap in any way, shape or form? Unless Darren was up to other things with Al (Which he better not be, he's mine...) then shut up! 2 - You say that as if you know of somebody who has done some "hard mods" to it. And I definately recall you saying on several occasions that you had ground the disc mount off at least (whether you meant "you" as yourself or an affiliate I cannot be certain of. Sue me and make another million) 3 - Pete, Prawn had been blocked, me and Al could see you were online, he couldn't. I was then blocked, Prawn and Al saw you were online. You then disappeared offline when we got talking and you couldn't think up a bullshit excuse for something quick enough (see, I STILL haven't said anything about 'Project Pete's new frame' on TF) Oops... 4 - If it's been asked, why haven't you told? 5 - Thought you'd made your million, then sold Devon Cycles and god knows what else? Surely work can wait a few more minutes 'til you sort this out? What? Use some punctuation to make it a little clearer... The FULL BIKE was on ebay. The STARTING PRICE was £200. At no point did the advert say that the starting bid of £200 was not for the full bike (if i decrypted your warble rightly) Anyway, back to the job in hand...
-
Yeah Pete put it on ebay a while ago starting at £200 for the full bike It may be one of the coust copies as jake1516 suggested, I just wish I could remember for sure!
-
No, you have definately commented about it not being a coust frame on numerous occasions Also; What?! Shitty comments such as...? If we're going to go to technicalities then you may not have put another mark on the downtube, however what you said at the time was said, as I'm sure Al, Darren, Tyler all probably heard too. All I'm trying to say is sell it as whatever it is, rather than something it's not. You wonder why you have the reputation you do on this forum, yet if you don't make clear whatever it is you may be selling to someone, or try to pass information off as your own when it's not, then it's really no surprise is it? -------------------- Sorry, completely got sidetracked. In order to help, rather than just clog up the thread with fairly relevant stuff that nobody wants (last time we got into something like this on MSN Prawn and myslef just got blocked, oh the shame...): I'd say go for one of the other two! The T-Rex is the more tried and tested of the two, and seems pretty good from the reviews I've heard. Heatsink always seem to be very popular with the customers that have bought from them though, so don't rule out the 'sink by any means. Your best bet is probably to try and find somebody with a T-rex and give it a try, note what you like and dislike, and compare that with what you think/people say the Heatsink is like (It's not so likely somebody close to you will have one to test as the 'Rex) EDIT: Right, just had a quick look at the Geo for the frames and it lines up like this: T-Rex; 1080wb, 380cs, 72ha, 2.5kg 'Sink; 1085wb, 385cs, 71ha, 2.1kg Basically, these frames are pretty similar, although the stays on the Heatsink should make it slightly more stable on the back wheel (although a touch harder to get there) The slacker head angle will make the steering a little slower, although not really by a noticable amount as far as I would imagine. Oh, and there's 400g less (going on the quoted weights on the Tarty and Heatsink sites) To me, it would seem that unless you feel the slight differences will make your decision swing one way or the other, it's more a matter of which you prefer the look of!

Wright, first things first... It may be structurally sound, but yes, there are some pretty savage dents on the downtube. In fact, I seem to remember you knocking it last night and saying something along the lines of "Ah well, it can't get much worse" Also, Darren isn't trying to sell his frame, so whether his DT is dented/scratched or whatever is pretty irrelevant really, in the grand scheme of things Also, I've heard you say a few times during rides that it is some other frame just powder coated with coust stickers on. Can't remember what it actually is, but just advertise it as whatever that might be, rather than something it's not.

If not just look for a free download of an audio converter. There's a fair few out there, and most of them are pretty basic, which means they're easy as hell to use.

Yup, Ive Gone And Done It As Well.....
Luke Rainbird replied to Prawny Baby's topic in Bike Pictures
Sounds good, and the prawn stickers would make it! Now not meaning to burst your bubble, but I think I know someone who'd disagree if he could ever get out of NMC... What position were your cranks in at the time?! (For everyone else, I'm not just a complete retard. Well, I am, but I know Prawn is actually Wright....) Glad you like it though, looks like it'll really bring out the colour in your eyes Look forward to seeing it sometime -
Really? You mean you're going to work on that wall-bench-face line you were trying last week? If it stays like this it should be good...
-
Shouldn't be too late now, hopefunny gonna eat at Pizza Hut (close to town, quick and soooo upmarket...) about 5/6 so should be in same time as some of you guys with a bit of luck Better not be raining though! If it's seriously wet I will not be riding!
-
I do believe what Peter meant, but failed to get across too well (as is all too common) is that for people looking to run rigids on a frame designed to take sus forks, you need something with a bit more length to make up for the loss of travel, hence a longer fork is used. To try using a rigid as a sus fork, well, only Pete could manage that
-
I find those tyres pretty damn nice myself, although the sides are a little thin and they are damn tight on my Tioga rims! Thicker walls to them and they'd definately be on my bike again (evn moreso if they came in pink to match my grips...)
-
I'm strangely undecided, although I think I'm going to have to say take it off, just doesn't look quite right! Possibly quite useful though, so... Does it make a huge difference with the ankles?
-
Lovely, very good job indeed Just a quickie - how do those wheels seem? Friend used to run the 26" Atomlabs and they weighed a ton, these feel OK?
-
Didn't even notice that first time round... Would take a little more than 100mm travel for that!
-
Think it's a little longer than 400mm actually, although not certain. Most trials forks are somewhere in the region of 400 (well, little under) aren't they? *measures Ashtons/'zocchis* Ashtons - 390mm Marzocchis (120mm travel) - 480mm Measured centre of axle to top of crown race (where they meet the bottom of the headset)
-
Ok, so, in all honesty, it was just another Bristol vid wasn't it? However, it was nice, exactly how I'm hoping it will be when I get there for riding (oh, and uni I guess...) next weekend Oh, and nice to see some more riders with pink grips, it's the way forward I tell you!
-
Thing is, I really like the look of the A1, however there's something about this that I really dislike Weird
-
Cool. I may be a little delayed now, as it seems the Olds want to go for a meal before I go, but I'll chuck my bike in and meet you guys shortly after I'll try and do that lot early so there's time for my REAL family...
-
Looks a lot nicer like that
-
Yeah, however some bails could be nasty! Imagine going from a gap or something, and going to put a foot down and just rolling out! Nasty, but entertaining no doubt...
-
Now, it can't just be me, so who else wants to get some and form a demo team called "OurSoles" I mean, we could have an OurSoles tour, or go around finding new OurSoles in every town and city... Pretty funky stuff though

New Way To Make Your Brakes Better?
Luke Rainbird replied to _Owen.'s topic in Beginners Trials Chat
You want a brake to lock the wheel, not to stick to the rim though Oh, and it's Knob, actually... Next time, read the full post... -
Read the article that was posted: "How fast was Richard going? Well on the run before, he’d reached 315mph. So it’s likely he’d hit that speed again. Richard isn’t the sort of man who goes backwards. If he thought he’d done 315, he’d be trying to do 317. Or 320. Or five million if he’d thought there was half a chance." -J Clarkson

New Way To Make Your Brakes Better?
Luke Rainbird replied to _Owen.'s topic in Beginners Trials Chat
So, you're saying that having a clean rim, or a grind is a new way to have working brakes? Wow, give the boy a medal Oh, and I think you meant to say that the brakes DID lock, rather than DIDN'T, right? surely the idea is to have a brake which holds... Assume you mean no sticking yeah? Only joking, I'm not really that harsh... But yeah, clean rims help!
