You will need: Provisional Drivers Licence CBT Certificate A Moped Insurence TAX MOT - if the bike is over 3 years old Helmet Advise: Gloves - Proper motorbike ones not moutain bike ones Decent weather proof Jacket, Preferably Motorbike Type Waterproof trousers - You legs WILL get soaked in any sort of rain or mist Simple rules of 'pedding are Dont sit right forward on it, you look like a fanny Dont sit with your feet on the rear pegs, you look like a fanny Dont remove the rear veiw mirrors, See above Its a means of transport, there is no way in hell to look cool on a moped, so dont try, See above Never sit sit at lights plibbing the throttle, or throttleing on and off to make it sound like you have gears, you look like a complete fanny Dont bother modifying it, if you want to waste money that badly feed the homless, or take up origamo with 20's (damn you filters - exchange the word Fanny for the more offecnive C-nt word)

There will Be time if your mother goes to get it for you. When I did Mine (November 07) We met at 9am, was a quick breif, thoery for about 30 mins, then Sight test, then Explanation of the bike and how it works. You wont ride a bike until about 10.30, and you wont go on the road until after lunch at about 1pm. You dont need tax to ride on private property so your fine.

When I had 3 weeks off work with a f**ked back I took up making Airfix Planes. Was Actually pretty good. Nice and relaxing and you get a sence of achivment with a well made model at the end. Still do make some now and again, on those rainy cold skint days, Lego is good, Mums clearing loads of old bits from her house, found all my lego from when I was a kid. Going to find some time to go over and build some stuff, see whats still there. I allways find something constructive is alot better than computer games

My Mehtod For Mech Tensioners: Remove Shifter cable ect. Remove Mech, take of Clip behind mouting bolt, remove plate and spring. Fit mech to hanger with magra washer (or similar) between mech and frame. Adjust Mech to desired gear, with either cable, spoke or screw adjustment Tighten mech mount bolt with mech at desired height. Removing the spring will stop any up/down movement in the mech, and will stop it clattering against the frame. I used this method for over 6 years with good results

Im Breakig Lots Of Mech Hangers What Can I Do?
trials_pimp replied to Gogz-'s topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Ive got a Gusset Tensioner. Bolts across the mech hanger, so you cant bend it. Fits with my Pro 2 nicley aswell. -
Do you mean the Old Skool Yellow Hawyes Team Giant? Squaer downtube ect, "Only 500 made" frame? I had one of those and Powdercoated it Black in 2002. Looked pretty good. Except I twisted the rear End, Flair the brake bosses outwards and f**ked the head tube.

Was clearing out some stuff left at my Mums House this Morning, and I came across a box filled with Old Books. After going through said Box I found 5 issues of BTM Now Im willing to bet that 80% of you have no idea what im on about, so kindly click back and go about your business, looking for CLS videos. For those that do, its quite the haul. Looking through them took we well back. Interveiws with Matt Tounge, Vincent Hermance (when his goal was to be "Chamion of the World"), Darren Hill and more. So Much Old Skool stuff Aswell, Brand New Onza T-raptor, Base Proto-types, 1st look at the Zoo Pitull, Boa, and the Echo Pure. It was unreall. I Will get some pictures up soon, there are some great articles in these, who remembers Whitehurst designs? Team IRJ and shop.merseytrial.co.uk?? There was 1 article that set me back in my seat though, was the Base bikes tryouts for the team, and had some Pictures of DJ riding, and profiles shots after he got his place on the team.

I think you would get more than a few nasty words for riding a Haulocaust Memorial.

The Worst Stack Ive seen was a few years back, Tim Pratt and Myself were riding a MAD Demo. Between Show we were messing around on the Evil Eye (A ladder frame where each rail gets higher) trying to 180 on the rails, ie so we could have 1 wheel per rail, 180 round and face the other way. I couldnt get the hang of it and was killing my downtube, but Tim managed to get it right. So He went up to the next level of rails, missed with his front wheel and Landed on the rail with his face, breaking his Nose and doing alot of damage to his face. My Worst stack was 2 small walls the a vertical I beam Girder. Was going to drop from 1 wall to the other then gap to the Girder. I got the 1st bit wrong, went to jusp over the bars, but tripped over them, landing ontop of this girder with my knee. As I hit the deck my 1st insiticnt was to get striahgt back up, which caused my Knee to rip worse than it was. When I inspected the woud my Knee cap was hanging out the hole. Another bad stack a friend had, was many years ago, he was riding along a rail on a raised walkway, slipped and fell off, only to fall 13ft and land on another rail, sideways

Dude thats awsome. Sounds like it will be such an adventure. Allways wanted to do something like this myself. Want to try and get in on the Mongol Rally. Hope all goes well for you, though personaly I wouldnt use a Nova. My Choise would be a morris Minor, of Old Fiesta. Shearly for relaibility and simplisity. Would be very carefull going to Africa, specialy at the moment, steer well clear of Kenya. Mind you its all prety dangerous. Just make sure you have a means to defned yourself should you need it. Most of all, Enjoy it

There are alot of rides Up North, Infact 90% of all the good trials events and activites are up North. You should have no problem finding someone to ride with. Look in rides/locations sub forum and when there is a ride on near you, simply attend. No one will mind, just introduce yourself and hride, and have a laugh. Most people on here are very aproachable, friendly and will help you learn where they can. Even just watching good people ride helps alot. Just dont be one of those people who turns up at a ride, says nothing all day, lurks in the background and wont ride because they dont think they are good enough. Who cares how good or bad anyone is, no one will slate you for being a learner, and if they do, chin em. Also Noticed they other dude is a moto ride, you could be lost, this is a pushbike trials forum, not to say you arent welcome, we just might not be as helpfull as you need.

I got 1/2 Way on the train, but down here we had over 4" of snow. I had to abandon My Journey and head home. Waste of time, waste of money, and very cold.

it cant be right. Otherwise the Count on Sesemie Street would have a tough time

I would say the 7/8 June. Its should be the middle of Summer, and Gives people ample time to organise. Also Worth Mentioning the Portsmouth Memorial Ride is on the 11th May. So far 120 People in the facebook group for it, lets make his Home town ride even more successfull.

I think youve been f**king stupid about this whole ordeal. 3 months ago, you knew who had the bike and His address. You should have gone there on day 1 with a give me my bike or give me your broken legs attitude. Shit you could have even taken a couple of large friends for intimidation, or even dragged your dad there on day 1 to speak to his parents. Damn if someone turned up at my door to tell me my kid has just nicked a bike the last thing on my mind would be anger towards the people at the door. Little Jnr would spend the rest of his life cowering in fear everytime I got hme from work (the way kids should be raised) Yet you have waited 3 months, and so far shared his BEBO acount with people. f**king hell stay away from me, dont want to anger you sir. We all know the Police will do nothing, they cant arrest you for stealing your own property back, it becomes a Civil matter and they wont touch it. The time for action was a long time ago, now there is nothing you can do but conceed. Know you missed your time, and take it as a lesson. Time waits for no man, that bike has porbly been stripped and distibuted around your local Parks.
