  1. but it will still affect our race eventually, regardless of what we do. dont know what you are getting at with the superficial stuff. what im trying to say is that it could be 10 years, it could be 500 years, but eventually our ice caps will melt. the longer they take to melt the better chance our race has for survival
  2. right, well it has been established for a while that we are coming out of an ice age still, yes? therefore the ice caps will melt eventually, its inevitable. but the importance of our presence shouldn't be that we are accelerating the process. we should be doing everything in our power to either slow the whole process down or stop our planet changing. both of which will be virtually impossible with the likes of China and the US spouting out billions of tonnes of CO2 each year. so rather than fannying about blaming aeroplanes (chemtrails=bullshit i believe) and general transportation like cars, taxing their use to shit, it would be much better to move over to nuclear power. fission or fussion, either is fine. but one is a long way of being cost efficient (cant remember which, but MIT runs from it and wont see a return within 200 years lol). CO2 isnt the only factor by the way, its just one of the biggest contributing factors that seems to get all the media attention. IMO we should be getting onto hydrogen powered vehicles ASAP and looking at better aerodynamics, lower drag coefficients and outright banning high performance vehicles. but who wants to live in a world without ferraris and evos? as said on the 1st page, if everyone does their bit. recycling, walking/cycling to the shops rather than driving. giving the super countries a kick in the arse, get them onto CHP for a short term solution etc. but isnt this the point of the UN? everyone has to conform to the rules. surely relooking at some of their current emission policies could see a dramatic change in the future. granted we all rely on everything being made in china, so it is easy to blame them for producing all the CO2 because we are too lazy to make our own products. but making things at home would be better in the sense that we wouldnt have to get things to be shipped from china, polluting around the globe. but we dont do this because it is cheaper to get it made there. everything always seems to come down to money. if the end users (us) were willing to pay more for british products, rather than getting things manufactured at whoever will do it for the lowest cost. again maybe we would start to see a change. but as said before. there is very little point only some of us bothering to care. everyone needs to be made aware of the current state of the world and the ways to prevent it from deteriorating and acting upon them. i know they attempted to do that somewhat in geography at school. but i know for sure that my teachers didnt have a clue.
  3. ken block owns DC, im sure he will be fine haha
  4. looks nice dude. always had a thing for orange frames. why you didnt leave it electric blue i have no idea. but great to hear your riding again. come cov in the summer?
  5. if you are willing to grind you wont have to worry about the weather. the biggest thing you will notice is the noise in comparison to a disc. if you can deal with having loud brakes thats cool. you will notice your brake should feel more solid and positive than a disc brake as you dont have to deal with spoke flex. 24 and 26 inch spokes are abit long for that solid feeling you would get on a mod. you also wont have to care about contamination as much. nice. geometry on a bike really isnt that massive an issue, a few mm here and there wont stop you riding it as well. just need to get used to it. if it was good enough for danny mac im sure you will manage. so yeah, disc or not disc. both good options, but if you want to have that kind of modulation for manuals and the like. go disc. if not, vee/maggie will be fine
  6. i am riding coventry alot atm, but there is a reasonable scene around birmingham, leicester and the surrounding areas. drop me a pm with your name and ill add you to the midland trials chat on fb
  7. dependant on what your after chainreactioncycles is ireland based
  8. ridiculous riding dude! super techy and flowy. perfect. edit was great too, music choice was good too, really added to the flow of your riding. excellent stuff. download link available?
  9. oh thats interesting to hear. i have unfortunately massively run out of money now so i guess ill be rocking the mountain kings for a good while longer
  10. looks immense. hope you can ride it aswell as the last!
  11. i was going to say, how come everyone is running a FFW these days, they were only used for changing gears on a 26" when i started and everyone ran hope xc's. and if they are that unreliable still then what is the point. i have an original 06 hope pro 2 t on my bike at the moment, been there for the last 7 years, and there have been upgrades to this hub too so it hasnt even benefitted from the newer technology. and i would say i have been pretty harsh on my bike over the years. but no problems other than a bearing change and a spacer wearing. both easily replaced too. engagement points arent that important anyways. if you look at what people managed on 21ep hubs, its really more important to just control your chain tension slightly, 48 should be plenty. as for weight too, there is only about 100 grams in it with middleburn cranks or tryalls with a screw on cog and a light bash. unless you are going supremely light with ffw set up, but you arent with the SLs anyone care to shed any light about why you use them when they seem so shit?
  12. generally i have found that the longer you are on the front wheel, the steeper your back wheel has to be to switch it. angling definitely helps as you have less distance to move the rear wheel. but keep practising straight then you can do bollards and things. for better switching either get more over the front wheel or switch earlier
  13. speakers cant connect to the tv directly. there are 6 speakers, they all connect into the dvd player, bare ended wires and clamps not following dude. dvd player is capable of doing it, just taken it off my dads tv fully working, because they got new kit. page 11 is about connecting vcr players, i just want it to play the tv.
  14. into the dvd player. all done correctly as far as i know, checked it in the manual several times i actually managed to buy a 5m vga cable with a separate line for the headphone jack. so like 2 connections in 1 wire, so i already have sound fromt he laptop to the tv. but now i want the speakers to play the tv regardless of whether the laptop is attached or not
  15. having trouble setting up external speakers. the tv is a samsung 43" PDP D450 (manual) and the dvd player is a panasonic SA-HT80, ive connected all the speakers up, and it plays CDs and DVDs fine, but i cannot get the speakers to play what is on the TV or my computer which is connected via VGA cable as there is no HDMI port. i have a scart socket on the television as well as the individual audio and video ports, tried with the RCAJ adapter, nothing... connected it all up in the individual ports and it plays. an ideal situation would be for the speakers to be able to play sound from the laptop and the tv without having to switch over to an have channel. i have also tried switching to external speakers through the samsung device, but nothing happens, i just lose all sound. it seems to know it is there, but there is nothing to click to say that is the device i want the sound to come through. very weird. i have never tried connecting surround sound to this tv before, so am a little unsure about what i am doing. PS the dvd player and speakers are about 10 years old but 1000W ish haha some help would really be appreciated
  16. im guessing its just the lens you have used but those bolts look pissed! on the plus side i am very impressed with all of the products you have been bringing out recently. really thinking outside the box that trials has confined itself into. good shit man, and they look great quality too!
  17. well thats not true, he has an account. could just fill in the gaps. i personally have had no dealing with him, but have seen countless digs at him too. but all these digs really boil down to people thinking he is a shitty role model. doesnt matter in anyother extreme sport, but trials is apparently different.
  18. if it were curb height then everyone can play fairly? could be fun though. but yeah. dont split street and tgs. wheres the fun in that!
  19. to be honest with all these new and exciting superfinal videos coming out, it seems there are alot more square edges than there used to be. infact i reckon the likes of damon could do pretty well on this kind of terrain. obviously the rock and logs sections is a different story, i was more referring to the pipe sections that seem to crop up all the time.
  20. Nice vid that. Not sure i liked the slowmo throughout. Not like sean is a rediculously quick rider. Seemed abot ott. liked the iow section though. Was cool
  21. ben travis did a pretty big one in his adamant vid a few years ago
  22. bought the Der Kaiser in the end, also asked tarty for the lightest one lol. also plan to cut off every other knobble and bought some skinny tubes. cheers for the help though guys. seems i already had the perfect candidate
