  1. So Smo let me have a go on his Street Triple R yesterday. Holy speed Batman. I only rode around a car park a bit but the difference to my SR125 (quite understandably) is insane. Time to get saving for my DAS!
  2. I like meat, I eat meat, I don't care how the meat comes from the animal to my plate. My view point is humans have been killing animals for a long time, and a sharp knife to the throat is definitely not the worst way an animal has died at the hands of a human. Also lions etc tear their prey to pieces, that's barbaric so why not go on a big cat cull whilst blabbering on about the best methods of achieving a pork chop.
  3. I've been ridding it for almost 2 weeks and I'm already tiring of the eye wateringly quick top speed. (manages 60mph top speed on a straight road, if there's no head wind)
  4. Thought I'd get into the old motorbike game. Done my CBT a few weeks ago and done my theory today. My local test center had the oldest CRT monitors and a short ass mouse lead, which meant my face was about 12" from the frickin thing, horrible experience, however, that is the last Theory I'll ever have to do (hopefully). Got a little SR125 to pootle about on and learn for the next couple of months then DAS it is. sexy, sexy!
  5. So here's a couple of renders from work today. Only a basic model as it's a feasibility to take to the Planning Department so couldn't spend too many hours on it. Going to be doing some quick photo-montages tomorrow. Please also bare in mind I only started 3D modelling in the past 2 months, didn't even bother with it at Uni.
  6. Thank you Greetings!!!! After you're comment in the Deng thread I have now been able to visit nostalgia alley by going through Eengoedidee!!!! (I completely forgot that site existed and going through some of the vids that are 10 years old is amazing)
  7. I know I haven't put any images up yet but my boss has just told me that my licence for Autodesk Building Design Suite Premium allows me to install onto 2 machines. So now I'll have it all on my home PC. Awesome!
  8. I'll get some of mine up when I get a free minute at work. It'll just be lots of architectural modelling using Revit 2014.
  9. Keep the insurance on it so that any potential buyer could test drive it without having to fanny around with insurance?
  10. How do you fancy trading it for a 328i touring? I'm getting a little tired of the awesome fuel economy.
  11. hmmmm. I don't like it. Maintenance would be a bitch! Lots of bird poo and moss growing on the render, also I have one single SMALL tree outside my bedroom window and as such it receives very little natural light. pretty picture though I guess.
  12. Okay, so next stupid question. The transponder in my key operates on 125khz, so in theory this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RFID-125KHz-EM4100-Card-Copier-Duplicator-5-Writable-Cards-5-Keyfobs-Tags-/370961382162?pt=UK_BOI_Industrial_Supply_Security_Equipment_ET&hash=item565f057b12 would be able to clone it on a new key? I'm guessing it wouldn't work as car key specific cloners seem to cost much more, but can anyone tell me why it wouldn't work. I am not electronically inclined.
  13. Whilst someone has mentioned keys. What are peoples opinions on gluing the transponder from the key to the barrel in order to run cheap spare keys? I live in a safe area/the cars not worth much and I have a habit of misplacing keys (and replacements from BMW are not the cheapest).
  14. I would have thought you'd have to open the menu on the tv, go to sound options of some sort and tell it you want the audio to go through the line out? Whether or not the audio is being received from an external hdmi source shouldn't matter. You're basically just telling it to send the signal to the line out and not the speakers. Then again I'm not too tech savy so I may be wrong.
  15. I recently built a computer (first time) and had absolutely no issues. Spent close to £900 too, so was a little nervous. Just make sure everything is compatible and take your time putting it together. Oh and by building myself I probably saved nearly £200 as opposed to getting the same spec pre-built.
  16. The rough idle and cutting out is probably the crank case breather being so clogged. It looks like a HG failure though. My car ,M52B28, kept cutting out at junctions and had a crap idle and I found kink in the crank case breather hose, sorted that and all is good. How does it run if you unplug the MAF?
  17. TROYston is that an m52? I always get a little mayo on the filler cap after short journeys but never the breather pipe. What's the dipstick/coolant like?
  18. So after 17 months being sat on a sloped driveway with the handbrake on, my car just passed its MOT with just a headlight adjustment. (I did have to replace a bit of brake pipe first) not too shabby!
  19. No flare nut spanner, haha. Was pretty well corroded anyway, the vice grips done the trick though.
  20. The joys of fixing a 15yr old brake line. Old nut vs new... I decided running the new line over the fuel tank again wasn't worth the hassle.
  21. God I love being old(er), BMW 328i touring £250 fully comp!
  22. I always used to go on my own. Saying that I worked there so it cost me nothing,
  23. I think the point to raise is the jive turkeys getting a car on finance don't have the 20k in the bank at the start. Therefore they go finance. And I can imagine the type of people that get finance whilst still young probably only just earn enough to cover the monthly payments, as some of my friends did at 18/19. For me spending all of your money just to have a new car is unacceptable. I'd much rather just buy a car that's 5-6yrs old outright for £6k. Warranties and mot don't really bother me. I'm in no way bagging on people that get finance, so long as its not taking up most of their free cash to do it.
