  2. https://www.facebook.com/events/717512901597507/ Trying to organise an end of Summer group ride in Portland, if you've never been it's possibly the best spot in the Uk for Natural (Rocks).
  3. Nice Dan, look like your getting on well with the Limey
  4. A nice sunny Sunday in Southampton, chilled ride after a day of demo's the Saturday before. Tom Broyd doing his thing with the camera Check out more of Tom's work at : http://www.b3photographyonline.com/#/0 Massive thanks for your support this year to: http://www.m-a-d.co.uk/ http://www.dare2b.com/
  5. Yeah the one I got from you at Shipley national last year, really like the frame. I'd probably change to a lighter front rim rather than modify this one. The rear is on it's way out now so might consider a new front rim when I replace the rear. You can have a go at Radfest if your there? Magic Mainly weight, the Maxxis is the kevlar bead exo version (feels like 1 1/2 ply if that makes sense) + 42a compound it's pretty good to be honest. Weighs just over 900g compared to a De Kaiser at over 1300g Cheers, mainly stripped the paint as was starting to look pretty tatty and the bike needed an overhall. Turned out pretty nice I think Had this freewheel since April 2012, the bikes looked after a fair amount to be fare and kept indoors. It's gets a lot of use though so I'm expecting to need to replace it towards end of summer. Tempted with the external TryAll crank set-up if the freewheel is proven to be good? Thanks for the heads up on the pedals, hopefully they don't crack i really like them.
  6. If your talking the external bearing version Middleburns, you'll likely have clearance issues against the external bb cups.
  7. I was previously using TryAll carbons for almost a year, both bars are very nice and I'd have no trouble recommending either to be honest. I changed the TryAll because they'd had a fairly hard life and had a few pretty heavy gouges/scratches in them + they were creaking/clicking pretty bad so also changed them for safety. To get a year out of a high end lightweight carbon handlebar i was pretty happy Yeah mounted behind the drive-side bb cup. It's just there for an emergency really, I rarely use the bash ring. No, It's mine that I've been riding since November last year. Was starting to look quite tatty so had it sandblasted and gave it a good once over at the same time

  13. Halfords and plenty of other big retailers have been doing this for years, basically they put the price of an item up for nearly double what the rrp would really be, for the minium amount of time required by law. Then they drop the price to 1/2 that price claiming it's some amazing deal when in fact it's likely no more than 10% off what it would really cost. It's the same with sofa's etc etc, unbelievably though is the amount of muggs that fall for this and the fact it isn't against the law
  14. I've recently worn out my De-Kaiser and just got the newer Rammstein-Kaiser version, will try and remember to write a little review in this thread after I've ridden it for a couple or weeks
  15. Your always better off in my opinion using fresh spokes when changing rims Jake, over time spokes fatigue especially on a trials wheel with the forces we (Trials riders) put through our wheels. For what they cost just build with fresh spokes in the correct length, the wheel will build nicer and potentially save you hassel in the long run. Last thing you really want to happen is drive to a group ride somewhere for example then have a spoke snap and ruin your day + if it's a drive side rear the hassel of having to likely remove the rear fixed cog to repair it.
  16. Line at 46 seconds was cool, nice garden set-up as well
  17. Subscribed, some classic's already on there
  18. Rode Portland on Sunday (best riding spot in the uk imo) I wasn't intending on making a video from there but got a few clips so I've thrown them together and thought I'd share it.
