  1. Aye, harsh but tis not the nicest. Red and green should only come together at Christmas.
  2. Some sweet stuff in there taken to it really nicely....24" is the way forward
  3. Sprog do you need a stem cap and other thing?, your bikes a shed and it scares me to see it, i want it sorted!
  4. Behave. Tar is for roofs and roads. Not bikes.
  5. maxxis26 (ryan) karsonlevoret (rich) Alex Dark Sprog! trialsmax04 Kieran craig james taylor luke Rainbird Charlie (the hitcher) casualjoe jake norman josh (maybe) Ben Johnson had a fok snapping balls crushing moment the other weekend and is still struggling to walk let alone ride
  6. Looks a very "trialsy" sort of set up for a 24", nice to see someone trying something different, uber pimp too
  7. I've been running some Koxx browns in some tnn cnc backings for the last 3 months and have found them immense in all conditions.
  8. But the sport has become bigger, production methods more efficient and as such production costs have fallen. If you look at bikes today compared to 3-4 years ago, their relative spec has dropped because of the increase in oem parts, i know a few years ago some shimano parts nearly doubled in trade price. I haven't seen any trade prices of bikes for a while so i don't know if the companies are running off the same margins still.
  9. Aye i did notice that, could be a fake i guess.......
  10. A simple metal insert would solve the problem of thread pulling out, wouldn't take a lot to sort that surely? It has been and is being tested, surely a clip of it failing would have been put somewhere? Be interesting to see how long it holds up and how it fails if and when it does.
  11. This topic has nothing to do with her personality or ability to act, purely if based on physical appearance alone you'd put it in her. Think you may be failing to see that point.
  12. Thats right simple bmx are looking at producing a plastic stem?! crazyyyyyyyyy Would this work for a trials stem? Could it be just as strong but lighter?
  13. Why ever would you want naked pads?!
  14. If you have a receipt for first class i beleive you are entitled to up to £30 statuatory insurance. He has paid for the goods and not received them, did you offer alternative postage options with insurance? If not then really you are at fault. Take your receipt for postage to the post office and make a claim. For how much it costs extra i always tend to use recorded delivery.
  15. Search for sheldon brown wheel building in google, i'd link you myself but at work and its a bit funny about certain sites. As has been said wheelbuilding isn't something that should be taken light heartedly, its a technical job that requires skill and patience.
  16. Got to agree, but from what Dan has said they're evidently strong lil buggers! But hey, bit of thin oil cant do any harm.
  17. But thats my point, those ridiculously high priced bikes have always been around, if you've bought the best of the best of the rarest kit. its just that these "super" bikes are more openly available now due to ebtter advertising and more coverage from the net. Most of the lightest bikes produced can't be valued because so many of the bits are handbuilt custom items. Carbon front mechs with ti springs all custom designed and put together by someone with too much time and money. I think the estimated rpice they put on Greg Minaars Honda was around the 25k mark....
  18. Light weight for a free hub, incredibly strong axle if you get one with HD axle kit, fast engagement and strong freewheel mechanism, pimp looking and sounding hub and a much lighter wallet.
  19. Is it possible to ban an IP address from a forum, no issues are going to get resolved, no one in their right mind would trust Pete. Its really pointless him being on the forum, all it does is starts arguments.
  20. My god thats amazing! Seriously impressive stuff.
  21. Hopefully the numbness will be ok, mines still there after 10 years or so, extremely frustrating but how bad it is fluxuates. I've fallen off both my trials bike and DH and landed on my arm, it hurts more than he other one, but no issues other than that
  22. Since when?! Top end bikes have always been around the 4k mark, if you're looking from the boutique brands with a top end custom build you're looking more at the 5 k mark. Those sort of figures have always been the norm its just now you get a lot more bike for your money when you look to spend 2k rather than 4k, personally i think 4k on a top of the line full sus XC bike is great value compared to 2k on a rigid, singelspeed trials bike.
  23. I snapped my radius and ulna about 10 years ago now, no bones poking through the skin but the doctors figure that one out... stretchy skin they put it down to i had two plates and twelve screws put in there to hold it all together during the healing process for the same reason as you. It took me about 3 months to get back to riding XC and very light DH (i didn't ride trials at the time) and about 6 months before i could really go for it on the DH bike. The bad news is that i still have a lot of issues with it, i had a plate removed after 4 years as it was rubbing on my ulna never and the surrounding muscles, hoping this would solve the pins and needles, numbness and pain i was getting. Unfortunately it didn't, the never is still damaged, i still get a lot of pain in the first 3 fingers of my hand and the numbness is annoying as it can cause you to lose grip on the bars and the most impromptu moments. Take your recovery easy, find some decent physio to do as the range of movement in my elbow and wrist joint to ages to get back to normal and hopefully all will be ok. I guess i was just unlucky!
