  1. Thought I'd do the right thing and actually buy myself a new frame for the summer and make the switch to front magura whilst I was there. Hope you approve, I certainly prefer it in white. Big thanks to Andrei Burton for lending me a few frames to try out over the last 6 months and to Joe@Onza for helping me out with my new frame P.s. apologies for the crappy camera phone pics :$
  2. I would imagine very few, if you've been running it trouble free for a year then i wouldn't worry at all
  3. Aye looks pretty good, not a massive fan of the anodized silver.
  4. Right good proper job that Was this when you came down on Sunday?
  5. "Just the standard 9 speed" which one!? But irrespective, i've never ripped teeth off any cassette, chainrings yes, but not a cassette. Very strange.
  6. Could it be the rim? I know my Viz! rim is awful for putting a grind on and they wear out very fast too. Love the rim it's just shocking for grinds.
  7. Best be on otherwise i'll cry!
  8. They don't have pawls and use King Lube which isn't grease. Some are loud and some are quiet, the one on my stock is a hell of a lot louder than the one on my 24" both were bedded in on XC bikes too.

    New Hs33 Brake

Why would it be anymore than the current design? It does look a step back in respects of form, hopefully the cracking issue will be removed, but then i don't think i'll be running it. Be interested to see how they've managed to make the bleeding process simpler too.
  10. 150 sounds about right, its an old out of date bike, that with trials bikes not being worth much second hand means its not worth a whole lot. Certainly not what you were thinking.
  11. Think Joe is planning to come to every round, don't know if his results are counting though?
  12. Certainly sounds like the problem, my V booster with spacers sits well clear of the brake itself, so something is missing in there or needs spacing out more.l
  13. What if you have more than one bike with differing set ups? lol HS33, pre05 lever, fresh products blade, coustsink pads on the 26" Avid ultimate arms, salsa carbon booster, plaz crv pads, avid ad 5 lever, linear slic cable on the 24"
  14. Good stuff Rich certainly seem to be back to your old monster style of riding, good times!
  15. Your normal high standard of filming and riding
  16. I'm sure a lot of it was down to the bank holiday weekend, i know i only managed to get my entry off yesterday. I'm sure there will be lots more.
  17. I'm yet to find a quiet brakepad that works in all conditions
  18. Looks really nice, strange choice in brakes, but if they work! The codes on my full bounce bike are awesome, just don't know what they would be like on a trials bike. Let us know
  19. Sram chain for certain, XT or SLX rear mech and most likely a sram cassette, but if you can get a decent shimano one cheaper then go for it.
  20. I guess its that abrupt force applied to the mounting hole of the pad, where there's the least amount of plastic, being forced against the nipple on the piston. The weakest bit broke. Doubt it has anything to with the back, just that the pads are extremely bitey. Don't feather your rear brake going down a hill at speed where there's no chance your rear wheel will break traction.
  21. Nicely filmed and put together, some good riding and a nice chilled tune. Good times.
  22. Hate to say it but there are 2 or 3 topics like this already on this page....... But anyway, if you're riding a bike that hurts your back then change the set up, you've only got one back and you sure as hell don't want to mess it up whilst you're young. So man up...... erm no, not a good idea. But as has been said, type of bike is personal preference, adjust the set up of your bike to suit you accordingly, be if frame length (reach more importantly) stem length, bar height etc. I'm a short ass that rides a long stock and I've got lanky friends that ride long mods.
