  1. Really nice video, well edited, but no where near enough riding.
  2. I've had mine for a while now, its plenty strong enough, not amazingly impressed with how well it holds a grind; but my main issue is with the angled sidewalls either have to angle your brake pistons at a funny angle to hit them square to the rim or run them how they should and get un evenly wearing pads. Think i'll look at a Rockman rim next mainly for that reason, should hold a grind better too.
  3. Might be the wheel, but then i managed to twist two of the rear ends of these frames, so yes it is possible.
  4. Mounts on the back should be better, as you apply the brake, twisting the brake and mounts into the wheel rather than outwards and away from the fork as if the mounts were on the front. My Urbans with maggy mounts on the front have cracked to the point I won't ride them any more after just over 2 months of use. Those braze on mounts should be fine, they use them for the Pashley bikes don't they? Were fine when i had mine.
  5. I know riding a bike for fun and being creative, such a bore compared to TGS one hit wonders.... It was a joke Danny.
  6. The translation sin't great but pretty normal for an Asian to English translation. Yes literally its inaccurate, but comparative to other bashguards, the majority being aluminium, it is true.
  7. The if it's just a cheap BB by a new one.
  8. Sorry Matt, I meant "any which way but loose". It's kind of hard to type with just my left hand
  9. I imagine a lot of it is to do with the screwing up of the server last weekend. Sure it will get sorted.
  10. Mainly because they're pretty much the only manufacturer that cater for new and improving riders, shame really.
  11. Not necessarily, depends what bottom bracket do you have?
  12. Don't bodge it with a jubilee clip and certainly don't drill it through and use a nut that's for sure! Either take it to a local engineering firm or send it back to Tarty and get it helicoiled and it will be as good as new.
  13. Have you even looked at the bike in question? Seen any other bikes off the peg for anywhere near that money? Or if you have with the good level of parts to get someone started, don't forget its a decent frame worthy of hanging upgrades off of. Certainly more than good enough for a starter bike. Nice to see someone else in Plymouth starting up, I ride down there quite frequently and its always a good laugh, some good riding and a few good people hopefully see you out riding soon.
  14. Vandal Vyxen, like Kat Von D but takes it any which was but loose
  15. Why, extend the tape to length, lock it off and hey presto its all rosie
  16. Maybe controversial but my god there's something about her i just would...
  17. pretty much the same stuff most cheapo mtb frames are made of. It does seem a lot of money for what it is, personally i thought Rockman frames were expensive, but they have a ehll of a lot engineering on them compared to that.
  18. But why? Tar to me seems like a very dirty option. Decent pads, set up well on a clean smooth rim will work well, tehy will most likely work better on a grind but in both wet and dry conditions; tar just seems like a poor excuse for a badly set up brake.
  19. I'm a no show now I'm afraid bike died riding on Dartmoor on Sunday sorry.
  20. I found using a vee booster improved the hold no end, strongly recommend one.
  21. On my local service you have to book a bike slot as there are only so many available, if you're going any reasonable distance the tickets will be cheaper too.
  22. I know i have on on the front and its awesome, need a wide Onza Ronnie or DX32 in my world!
