  1. Yeah. You see guys with DH bikes. I put a pretty wide-knobbed (wheeeeey) 2.35 tyre in and there was room for more. It is tight, but you'd want it to be. The rack curves up and outwards, with a trials PSI it'd squeeze is nae bother pal.
  2. I would have had those letters in a heartbeat - baws. Glad the whole place is more open though - easy to spot the used condoms and sanitary towels
  3. please don't tell me the laundrette has gone? That was the single best piece of signage I have ever seen.
  4. Not broken, just haven't done a single thing to it since buying it 14 months ago and it's all just a bit tired, lots of very loose spokes, worn out tyres, drivetrain needs looking at, brakes are a bit shot etc etc.... just needs some TLC. I haven't ridden the M8 bit so that sounds good. Not too fussed on MOD but would be good to get over to Broomhill if there's a chance. Last time I was in Glasgow I saw some demolition was going on so intrigued to see the St. Vincent bit.
  5. Can't wait, my bike is in a bad way and I haven't ridden (my trials bike) for weeks, so a strip and rebuild is needed to get it working, then need to remember some moves.
  6. Thule Just do it, they're good, they work, they're easy, they're (fairly) safe. I've used a few and they mount really easily and getting bikes on is very easy. My friend has a fairly small 1 series Coupé and it can hold 3 good sized MTB's nae bother pal.
  7. Just received my steel Pro2 axle for my Skye, a nice little upgrade and no more worry about snapped axles.
  8. Yeah should be second fiddle but i've been out on the MTB and road bike more than the Skye so it's third in line.
  9. Well rectify that immediately. I must admit my trials bike has played third fiddle to my other bikes for a little while, but a quick overhaul and that'll soon change.
  10. It's very much a natural process. I think everyone rides relatively regularly and from time to time when the stars align we'll come together all on our different coloured Skye's and have a spin
  11. And you then 'like' my comment, are you that devoid of attention? It's embarrassing.
  12. You're a grown man..... f**k off or stop acting like a willy.
  13. I don't really keep up to date with traditional tyres so didn't realise that was the current standard. With what you've said then yeah maybe they will, however for 24" most people are used to the £25 mark for the Holy Roller/DMR Moto so it will seem like a big price hike.
  14. Explain..... My thinking exactly..... also I've just put a set of 2014 Pike's on my MTB and they're not exactly super easy to get hold of.

    GET HOPpS

Cool video, I've always wanted to use that track on a street video (I always imaged a BSD video with it in) however on that point the audio didn't seem quite right. Not sure if it was the balance between track and ambient noise but it all felt a bit detached and far away. Riding was cool and last line was sweet.
  16. The coolest man in trials. Single-handedly saving the sport from it's inevitable lycra clad future. Puncture line was cool, as was it all really. From the music to the grading it all added up.
  17. True, it was a generalisation....what I mean is £50 a tyre is standard fare in MTBing so I assume Conti's line of thinking is that's what the accepted norm is...also £2300 (Skye money) for a bike is still okish money for a MTB where a lot of people would buy Conti tyres, so why wouldn't Skye customers? I explained most trials customers aren't used to buying tyres at anywhere near that price, but they said thats what they're made in Germany tyres sell for. Also throw in the fact they will be made in such small quantities they could easily be sold for much more to cover costs...so it's a tricky one for them. I'm also neither trampy or particularly young and unless I could source a deal on them I'd be hard pushed to pay the difference over a set of Holy Rollers. I know, that's why I said "I'm not sure if this in linked"..... if the finishing kit for the bike isn't available then the bike won't be available......
  18. 50 on top of OEM. Also... you think? How many trials riders (considering A. They're young, B. They're trampy) will shell out £100 for a set of tyres? When I spoke to them I suggested they might have underestimated demand but that knowing trials riders seem to think it's fair to pay shit all for things that at £100 a set they might not do so well. Their reaction was that if someone is paying £2300 for a bike (the Skye) then £100 for tyres isn't an issue. I said that their customer isn't only Skye riders and that a lot of 24" riders would want to run them but they might want to compete with the Holy Roller.
  19. Not sure if this is linked but Conti haven't put in to production the tyre yet. They don't have a name for it and as it's being made in their Germany factory it keeps slipping down the list of priorities being that trials is such a small market. Also I'm a bit concerned about their outlook for these tyres..... I think they've underestimated the want for them. They commented that they'd only make around 50 (so you can see why they're not breaking their backs to make them) and that they'd retail for a minimum of £50 each. There is also talk of a far-east made version not in the Black Chilli compound but this won't be in the foreseeable future.
  20. Beautiful. You make going big look real easy. To use a much beloved Scotch phrase.... that was smooth as ken.
  21. What the f**k is wrong with people? You're 14 and going on about self esteem? f**k sake...
  22. That's seriously impressive man. All your time and effort sure seems to have paid off and you've got something you can be proud of until the day you die theoretically. I play a Martin 00-15 and love the sound and proportions of little parlour and grand concert guitars. Never been a fan of dreadnaughts. Have you drilled it for a pickup or will it remain faithfully acoustic?
