  1. i wouldn't worry to much just keep blagging him so he doesn't forget about your order. he won't of done a runner because ever since hes set up phat pads hes just lately decided to make it into something and try expand it such as bringing the backings out ect, so obviously doing a runner with peoples money is going to expand buisness.
  2. you still have the raven 5 frame?
  3. great video, youve got hopping on the back wheel dialed. was hoping to see some tap to mauals instead of to two wheels

    Select Bikes

there good to deal with, phill who runs it is busy i believe opening a shop in liverpool and because of that just hasn't been pushing the selectbikes promotional work so thats why its abit in tartys shadow now
  5. are they the rocks near windmills?
  6. is it not the pistons that are the problem on them, i seem to remember someone saying that. and i believe stan shaw runs just the lever on maggie calipers. may be worth trying
  7. i deffinately wouldnt recomend using a cutting disk unless your handy with a grinder and know what your doing. cut disks have a habbit of shattering and if a piece hits you it going to be a serious injury. just use a normal grinding disk or a masonary one
  8. ino the freewheels are just protos at the moment, but theres not a hope in hell im running one of them. the koxx team at koxx days where running them and gilles and vinces where skipping all the time from what i saw. so thats not really promising when most likely the freewheels wern't that old. and this is the part i didn't get, they have a freewheel with a stupid amount of pickups yet they can't even set the bikes up with decent chain tension. gilles and vinces bike and really slopey chains so there not even taking any advantage of the freewheel and most average riders bikes proberly pickup quicker then theres just because of the chain.
  9. because theres no need to, its working well on the frames out on the market, if your that scared by the idea of it, find riders with an ice and pm them and ask do you find it works well. its not like a brake it either tensions or it doesnt and your problem is solved. also you have to remmeber that it may not be as simple now as drill the hole as more likely all the dropouts are the same on every onza frame now so they already have hundreds/thousands manufactured. i understand what your saying, but i think you seem to be the only one scared of using it. and i doubt there sales will suffer from it and why push manfufacturing costs up
  10. the tensioner system onza is using is the next best thing since sliced bread are you mad, all frames should be using this. why would you want snail cams which are fiddley, slip and never keep the wheel in place and give you shit tension. your only hope with them ususally is if your hub uses m8 bolts so you can crank the tension up on the bolts and hold the snail cams better.
  11. why are they always so short
  12. yeah they will just replace the shell more than likely as it will be the shell thread that is stripped not the racket ring thread. the only way they would do it on warrentie though is for them to look at it. i do know the hubshells cracking is covered under warrentie but i dont think this is, but only way is to send it and find out i may be wrong.
  13. back in the day it would have been a free replacement. but they since tightened up on warrentie since people took the piss abit, so more than likely it will cost you. give hope a ring first and then more then likely it will just be a case of sending it, settling up the bill and then it being posted back.
  14. if i could ride mod like i ust to be able to id of kept the frame it rides so nice especially with that stem and bars
  15. arrh i see now, yeah happened to me aswell. afraid its not a manufacturing default though really more a floor in the design but, its a budget freewheel that gives the preformance of more expensive ones. something has to give, you cant expect it to go on for years going through the abuse trials stuff goes through and at that price.
  16. if the cranks snapped then more then you will be able to get half price replacement unless you can prove its a manufacturing default in which you would get a free replacement. there must of been something f**ked up about it, as technically the harder you kick the less chance of a skip. did you buy it new? if so did you pull it apart and change the lube, as they come with a thicker lube more suited to xc and other disciplines not trials. but on the other hand when they skip they can skip a half turn.
  17. yeah preston will be ok to get picked up from what about setting off early thursday morning more like 2-3?
  18. good way of getting rid of old stock though in time for new parts coming in, even if they loose alittle money its still better than it being stored not earning anything
  19. it can only be one of four things really. my guess its one of the last 2 you got really unlucky and got 2 pairs of duff cranks that had manufacturing defaults the pedal threads are dodgy you cross threaded them when screwing the pedals in. the pedals worked loose and youve not relised. most likely one. i think it will be most likely to be the last one, pedals can have a bad habbit of working loose and if you dont check them especially when new then you run the risk of them coming loose when riding sometime and not reliseing.
  20. sadly yes, hate these type of topics because all the people who where watching it have now doubled proberly, why point it out to everyone, especially when you have thought about it yourself
  21. give us an update adam please
  22. thats arm pump your talking about. you could try using excercise balls to build up the muscle, also riding longer and doing more competitions will help over time. another thing you could consider is running a vee brake. reason being is you can change the pull back and have a really light feeling brake compared to a magura. it does take abit of tinkering to get set up though
  23. surely you must be on par with stan for gapping now?
