  1. The bracket rests against the dropouts, the screw lies along the dropouts and the round spacer thingy goes onto your axle between the hub and frame.
  2. I found that for some reason grinding your rim can make a brake silent-ish. It's something to do with the grind itself, I'm no good at it. Another piece of advice would be to clean the pads and rim by dragging it on a wet rim and then washing the dirt off before the rim or pads dry out. Do it a few times and then drag the brake until it's dry. You should get a loud brake with loads of bite.
  3. More likely to be a freerider who failed a big drop? Whoever it is I hope he's ok.
  4. Shit. Got to get me some Armani riding clothes. I'm pretty sure that's all there is to doing something like this.
  5. Yep. But it's all about the people you entertain. I'm guessing TRA's vids will work better for people who have been in this sport for quite a while now, while Damon will be bummed by the kids on mods who only do sidehops. It's the quality of the audience that matters edit: Also I'm sure TRA is making these splendind vids mostly for himself and his personal satisfaction anyway. I doubt it's just about getting recognition.
  6. Whoever made that first piece of "music" deserves to be hung by their balls or c*nt.
  7. Liked that front wheel up which looked like a hook but wasn't one.
  8. Very good, but prefered the previous ones personally. Keep making these vids, they are all a joy to watch.

    Brakes.

I'm pretty sure I saw a braking test from 100mph between some supercars and a Ford Focus - the difference was marginal with all cars stopping in just over 4 seconds. You can search youtube for further info, also recall watching a vid where they took an Evo as an example and demonstrated how the stock brakes stacked up against uprated ones.
  10. What about those BMW pedals from the late 90's? They were about as insane as the TMX frames they made.
  11. Looks great! I'm a big admirer of Marino, it started out in a shed with shoddy quality and has since become quite popular worldwide.
  12. King hubs? Mine must be around 8 years old and it never skips. My mates all bought their Kings fairly recently and all have had problems with bearings and axles snapping and the RD mechanism skipping. They are absolutely rubbish now!
  13. Another tip is to BEND YOUR KNEES. It's a bit like backhopping, until you find the right balance spot, you will have to hop backwards to keep yourself on the front wheel. And like someone has already poitned out you should hop with your whole body, not just the arms.
  14. There really is no need for slow motion in trials. It makes vids difficult/boring to watch.
  15. Lites used to be 20" forks. SL's come in 4bolt+disc version. They're great forks, just need to replace them every now and then.
  16. Hard front tyres are jolly uncomfortable tough.
  17. You can sacrifice bite for less noise, just get some dirt on the rim. Your brake will still work (as opposed to getting it wet or covered with oil which is silly), but will be fairly silent.
  18. Lucky sod, that's much more interesting than observing the ageing process of rubber. Wish I had made different plans for that day.
  19. Surprised it's actually worth it. You know the maths. But it's good to know that manufacturers actually care about their products
  20. In short - more flicky and more fun to ride.
  21. That's something new, out of interest, which side pays for shipping? Hope you don't mind me asking.
  22. My mate makes them, they're fine. Compound is really good too.

    New Hs33 Brake

I'd be very surprised if it was more than 2-3%.
