Teenage Angst Communal Agony Aunt Thread
Greetings replied to Has anyone seen my shoe?'s topic in Chit Chat
Things have kinda settled down between me and the ex, haven't seen or contacted each other for almost 2 weeks because I missed all the classes at uni due to tonsillitis. While it's been smooth sailing from there, I'm kinda starting to think about everything again. On one hand I'd like to forget, on the other I feel like memories are the only thing left and letting them go would be like throwing everything away. -
Yeah heard about that wireless energy transmission thing. Sounds a bit like science fiction. Your avatar pleases me. What is it?

If you know what modifications you want and don't have the car yet, get one already modified. You'll save a lot of money. Personally I think all these mods for road cars are shit and unless they're for a specific purpose it's a waste of money. Top Gear proved that rather well with their Avantime some itme ago. I can't understand people who get ie. Supras or Evos and keep spending money on them and NEVER go on the track.

I'm sure it will be cool. He made a vid on an MTB bike some time ago, the things he did on that Is that the result of trying to lift something like 160kgs with your index fingers?

I see your fake ZOO and raise you a fake cat!

I wouldn't do that because of the initial phase of asking them out. However, I wouldn't mind having a drink with a stranger so long as somebody arranged everything and just take it from there. A friend of mine does this quite often but then she's really outspoken and can't keep her trap shut lol. Lovely girl though.

Loved the riding, the music choice, the camera work, the editing and the effects at the beginning. All those elements added up to a great vid. Can't really pick on anything here. That hook at the end was mental.

You might want to try WD40 on that.

Exactly, that's why a rear disc feels heavier than it really is. Also I wouldn't say that a disc is more powerful than 'most' Magura setups. If you think that, you must have pretty shit experience with Maguras or were running a disc brake on a mod.

Who cares about the environment? Who here feels guilty every time he starts the engine in his car. EV's have one big advantage - they're cheap to run. And for that reason only I can justify their existence.

Got to love the preload stacks where all the force used to get up such a height goes into the exact opposite. Vid was ok. Editing at the start was very annoying and actually pissed me off.

Leave it dude. A relationship works both ways - if it's only one side giving, and the other one taking there's no point. It's not about getting something back but about knowing that the other person is there and thinking about you and trying to help you. It doesn't sound like she cares much to be honest. Tell her that you don't want to continue this and be true to your word. What you're going through with her is an extreme situation of what happened with my ex - she rarely gave anything back. And that was the trigger to an argument which destroyed our relationship in the long run. The break up wasn't easy but I finally understood that it was a toxic relationship that had no future and in a way, she wasn't worth all the effort I put in. You need to find someone else. If you're the kind of guy who loves to give and gets much of his joy in a relationship out of that then it'll be difficult for you to find somebody worth sharing with. But you'll get there in the end. We're all young and we WILL eventually settle down. We've just got to make the most of the time we have left. I'm sure that in 10 years we'll somewhat enviously look back at these times. -
Thought that was one of the best TG's ever. That car was just soooo ridiculous.

Haha got to love the ending where the white dog gets a bit frustrated because it's too fat.

I think I know what you mean here but just so you know, T6 is a heat treating process and 6061 is an alloy. Unless you meant U6?

Looks nice, haven't seen one of these before. Head tube looks a bit odd, do you have metal eating mice at home?

Fair play, I still think this is no big deal. There have been WAY more embarrassing pics of Porter and other guys on this forum.

Am I the only one who's ok with this? Surely it's not men who will be buying this calendar.

Why thank you No longer have mine but I can easily say that it was by far the best frame I've ever ridden. It wasn't just an ordinary piece of metal, it was "alive" if you get me. Right from day one when it was flexy all over and needed a booster for the brake to even slow you down to the moment when it all stiffened up and got rock solid while still retaining overall springiness which boosted sidehops and gaps. The quality is simply unmatched and I loved how you could screw the 4bolt mounts down with (literally!) as much force as you wanted without having to worry about the threads. Same with dents - after 2 years of riding it, a new coat of paint made it look brand new. With Triton back now, I can't imagine why anybody would pay the same or more for a shitty aluminium frame which will snap after a couple of months. edit: I sold that black frame a few weeks ago, it went for 490 quid.

That was a pretty good watch. As you write in the review, his frame is more of an "fashion accessory" than a tool. You've got to admire Koxx though, it takes a lot of effort to reach a point where you can sell an ordinary piece of aluminium for 1600 CAD.

Some of the worst camera work I've seen in a vid documenting such good riders. Whoever filmed that needs to remember that the more interesting thing in trials is the bike and the obstacles it's on rather than the upper body of the rider. So yeah, bad video. Only got past 2 minutes.

Anyone else found those two lap times amazing? A luxury saloon as fast on a track as a 911 Turbo Still I'd have the Merc, their AMG V8's are something to die for.
-
Yes, as long as you have someone you love and want to share Christmas with. So I voted sometimes.

What? There's a new series already? Woooo I'm so happy !!!
