  1. Found this on my Pc yesterday along with some other old vids so if you're bored, feel free to browse the account. Will be uploading more content today. It's part of a longer vid from 2003 showing how much can be done on a frame which has little to do with proper geometry. This guy still rides, but he's gone over to 20" and kind of lost it. Vimeo Video ->Original Video
  2. Or, get the heaviest frame you can, if that doesn't snap SELL it and buy a lighter one. Instead of buying a light frame which usually costs a fortune, breaking it and getting no money out of it whatsoever.
  3. Well if that is true then I stand corrected. Thought it was usually between 70 and 80%.
  4. It'd be nice if you could get a single monitor which is as wide as that and also curved.
  5. Pure titanium is never used for manufacturing, it's always an alloy. So the weight of titanium in that chart doesn't say much about how it relates to aluminium parts/frames especially as those are also made of an alloy. But yes, Ti is much heavier than aluminium, it's comparable to steel.
  6. Light, you only need a strong frame if you're a basher or do these silly drop-gaps and drops all the time.
  7. Wow, I've never seen a trials video as good as this.
  8. Yep, but tubing in areas which determine the length of the frame weighs around 30-50g. That's how much difference there is between an average long and short bike. That thing looks awfully shoddy. Bad welds, poorly brushed and the CNC bits look like somebody ground them for no apparent reason.
  9. Youtube Video ->Original Video So pleasant.

    Lol Fail

LMFAO!!!!!111! Yeah, that was definitely intentional. What kind of an idiot pushes his bike into a wall at that speed.

It's disrespectful to the reader to write in such an "NMC" fashion. It also annoys most members and makes the place look like a mess which is why it is not tolerated. Would you walk around in torn clothes covered with mud just because you're not in a beauty contest?

    Snow

Haha what is it with you guys and igloos? Every time my dad's best mate comes over from London and there's snow around he builds an igloo.

That's a neat idea, or just increase the amount of votes from 5 to 10. I think it might be the case that new members who have been validated will try to validate their "m8s" from NMC hence creating a mess.

Perhaps the reason is that the old one got locked? Seriously, ever since this member validation thing was introduced this forum has become a big mess.
  15. I've always imagined OTN to be a place where many of the active members already have a house, a family, a big SUV and build crazy trials related machines/parts in their basement. If that's true then indeed this forum could seem like a mess created by a bunch of kids, which there is a lot of on here.
  16. The first A1 was 1065mm / 372mm / +55 / 72* The geometry did change in 2007 to low rise with slack head tube angle.
  17. They leak either from the slave or master cylinder. That's probably not too helpful... The more recent brakes are a massive improvement comparing to the first ones. In fact the recent ones have a clean history in my books with the first batch failing at around 30%. But then again if you want to run water, what's wrong with a Magura in the first place? Personally I'd never use anything different.
  18. Perhaps 5 validation votes just isn't enough.
  19. That's some pretty good riding there.
  20. You're all wrong. Cruise control. Actually, that's one of those little things that makes me happy. Heated seats. Apple tea. My personal radiator which keeps my lower body warm during the evening.
  21. Is your camera AVCHD? If so Premiere 3 will not handle that compression. I'm pretty sure a new version of Adobe Elements does though, as does CS4. Dunno where you stand with legal software which costs a fortune, but as far as I know CS4 has so many safeguards that getting it to work is nigh on impossible. For converting to a format which the older Premiere will handle, I use a Xilsoft converter. It's brilliant for multi-core CPU's. You'll need to waste some time on getting the settings right but it will convert with little loss in quality.
