  1. I can see a small kicker there
  2. Same here, as long as antibiotics work, I won't have them out. My dad had them removed when he was about 18 or 20, that was 50 years ago. He said it's pretty unpleasant and there's quite a lot of blood but it was worth it. Apparently he hasn't had a sore throat since
  3. Yeah I wanted to try something different because natural vids are more often than not really boring despite how awesome rocks are to ride. Glad to hear you've enjoyed this as much as a street video

    The Olympics

Thought this was the best place to complain. I'm getting really angry about how the media treat the Olympics like a place to win medals and nothing else. It's sport ffs, not a greyhound race. Wondering if you're also getting this in your news? The only thing they talk is "boo, Mr. X didn't win a medal in Y, how much worse can it get".
  5. You have so much control it's just unreal I always say that if somebody can ride a mod properly (and very few people can do that), they should stick to a mod no matter how well they ride a stock. You're that kind of guy. I'd say go with a mod but it also seems you can just switch from one bike to another and wheel size doesn't make much difference to you. Brilliant vid
  6. Nah, you're right. It's also much safer to be in gear since the car is more planted. If you try to violently avoid an obstacle in neutral, the car might spin off. When in gear, the chances of that happening are much smaller.
  7. Yep, it's a repost. Good find though!
  8. Sound doesn't travel in vacuum I actually wonder how the discovery and contact with alien lifeforms would affect the world. Maybe we'd realize that there's no need to fight over such trivial things and all these stupid wars would come to an end. We are going to make contact sooner or later, given the advancement in technology say in 1000 years?
  9. That's a relative term. It's not expensive comparing to freeride or downhill. It's expensive if you compare it to chess. Don't quite understand the question. Surely you can gauge if the sport is hard on your pocket or not It doesn't cost me anything to keep my bike running now, nothing has broken since September. I occasionally change some parts when new interesting ones are released. Just ride smoothly and if you can't afford to replace parts, keep off the big stuff.
  10. Look like cr-mo to me which would be quite a nice alternative to those riders who keep raping aluminium forks.
  11. I think that's the reason. Anyway, each of their own. If you want to ride TGS and enjoy it, there's nothing wrong with that. At the end of the day you're enjoying riding as much as those who choose to be a bit more ambitious - and that's really all that matters in trials.
  12. Natural videos always seemed tedious to me so here's something a bit different. Hope you enjoy this one! Click image to play
  13. Try Yellows. I gave Yellow CNC pads to a friend for his birthday and within a matter of an hour his brake was amazing - super loud, loads of hold and bite and all that on a grind without tar or any other sticky substances. He said the brake was too aggressive to his liking but for some that can be a good thing. edit: Cousts on a smooth rim are good, with a bit of tar they're just as good as on a grind as long as the rim doesn't get wet or dirty.
  14. You'll probably be better off with some Tryall or Trialtech rims, new Echos are stupidly heavy.
  15. Making a bike light isn't difficult. In fact any moron can do that. However, it takes some brains to make a bike light and still keep it as strong as one that weighs 2kgs more. I've just come back from a huge ride, a chap there had a 9,3kg Kamel. The genius of that bike was that the strength wasn't compromised one bit - all the parts used were strong and light, the tyres were snakebite proof and wide. Now that's an achievement.
  16. I think pink and white would work best though it does hurt my eyes The blue one is most pleasant to look at.
  17. It did flex like hell at first but then it got so stiff I could take the booster off. Somebody explained to me why this is but I don't remember. edit: frame flex causing crystallization of the molecular structure of titanium? Something like that
  18. Frame gets in the way of the backings
  19. Can't fall asleep, need to get up in 3 hours 200 mile journey into the mountains ahead of me, would leave now but I need to be on the spot at 10am. Seriously bored. edit: let's play a little game...

    Adam Allen

Yeah exactly! Good vid there dude, enjoyed it. How long ago was that?
  21. Thanks guys That was with a strange gear ratio, now use 18:17 which gives a chainstay of ~373mm. But yeah, the dropouts are really long, can easily get them to 390 but the bike then needs a disc brake. Would like to try a 73* head tube, lower rise and longer front end sometime in the future but for now this is perfect Rear rim is holding up well, hoping to see some rear Trialtech square hole rims in the future.
  22. Don't like that idea with the top cap, other than that - can't wait! Will definitely be getting one of these, my GU's are a bit heavy.
  23. "The server at www.fortyone30.eclipse.co.uk is taking too long to respond."
  24. The Tryall and First (if it's the one with integrated bearings) are about as different to each other as BB's can get. Totally different designs. If it's coming loose use Loctite. Just make sure that the cups and your frame aren't made of the same material. First came in either aluminum or steel version. From what I remember using aluminum cups in an aluminum frame without any lubricant can lead to chemical welding if water gets onto the threads? As for the cranks I wouldn't change them just because you've stripped the thread. It's pretty easy to remove such cranks anyway, you just undo the bolt and ride until they fall off.
