It's been about 4 years since Koxx released the first Levelboss. And that's about when the manufacturers started producing low frames, gradually reaching the point where the top tube is straight. Then we've had the Python, another "ridiculous" design, a mod frame with the geometry of a stock bike. Then mods without bashguards, frames filled in with helium, high bb rise frames (note that the majority of the Echo frames have a very high bb). Ok, now we've got stock frames with horizontal dropouts designed for 116mm hub spacing. Millions of colourful and differently shaped parts are available only to make the life of wholesalers more tedious. Oh, and titanium frames - in this case Triton which is becoming more and more popular. And this has all happened within just a few years. Obviously, we can easily guess what trials frames/forks/components will look like in a year or two - they won't change that much. But my god, in 10 years? How popular will trials be then? How many people will be riding and how big a company will Echo be? I dread to think. One thing is certain - people aren't going to stop riding and the sport will become more and more popular and so the manufacturers will have to adapt to the demand of the market. Discuss
