I'm missing the point but IMO the trials scene is too big. It was once a unique sport. Now it's not unique anymore because it's too popular. I'm happy with having only a few riders in my city. At least we know each other and say "hello" and shake hands when we meet.... I was shocked this year by the fact that in the UK people treat each other as machines which perform certain moves on their bikes. Very few people are willing to ignore the skills of the rider and understand that he's a person with a character and feelings.

This has reminded me of an accident which occurred to my friends when they were coming back from a party at my house. There was a storm that night and a bolt of lightning hit the tree which collapsed onto the car. 2 of my mates were killed (one of them on the spot, the other died in hospital as we waited in the corridor - we heard all that was going on over there). A very traumatic experience, the other two passengers who got away with life had to go to a psychologist because they couldn't cope with what had happened. That was caused by nature. But accidents caused by irresponsible drivers... what can I say... they should never be allowed to drive again. I imagine how you might be feeling now and it's pretty bad but at least - as you wrote - all of you are alive. It's ok if the drivers kill themselves - run into a tree alone. But more often than not, they kill other people as well. Get well soon.

Mods: Python L + Zoo forks = 1038WB (7mm shorter) GU S + Zoo forks = 1011WB (11mm longer) GU L + Zoo forks = 1046WB (16mm longer) 221Ti/PR - 1000WB, claimed 960WB (40mm longer) The GU frame was measured with a Zoo fork, so obviously the measurement will be different. But why does a 1000/1030 frame with the same fork result in 1011/1046? Still trusting the figures in the catalogue? Well, don't because they're useless.

Nope, that's my friend's. I have an Echo Pure which I got from The Munn (hence his question). I'll be changing the frame though because it's too short, and will probably get an Adamant A1 or Echo Hi-Fi.

Ok, we all "know" its 1065 for the short, and 1095 for the long, but what is the real wheelbase? Has anybody got this setup and could measure his wheelbase please? Thanks

They can't be. Benito has had these ever since I remember and he uses a Magura. Watch Andy T's Koxxdays 2005 video when he does this huge drop to flat into a set of shallow pools and totally destroys this rim. I'm sure it's the same one.

I've finally put together a video of myself. Something went wrong with the converter and the last minute is a bit out of sync with the soundtrack. The next video should be much more interesting as I've changed my attitude towards trials. Also I should be riding a stock. Just one word: Perfect! Your riding is very good, you have learned most of the important trials techniques and it's now just a matter of time until you master them. You're progressing very quickly and IMHO you're videos are among the most pleasant to watch on this forum, maybe because they're so different.

awwww Sorry for not answering, I've got no money on that card and I couldn't either answer the call (I am charged for the international call, not you) or text you. Might come over in December if I have somewhere to stay, otherwise it's next year, but for much much longer

All I can say from past experience is that if you start ignoring the problem, she will tell you all about it straight away. It's lack of interest which triggers off this reaction. edit: (still a bit drunk) - just say something like "oh well, tell me about it when you're ready" or something like that
