Well said, ordered a bag this morning. Should arrive tomorrow. Not convinced by Yoga, I'm sure it's good for you etc. since it has a long standing "tradition" but it's just not the type of thing I'm interested in. Upshot of going jogging yesterday is that I'm now at home with a cold. My immune system is a joke. So I'll probably have to limit myself to the punching bag over the winter which I'm quite looking forward to.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGlF4Wtf1WM I read somewhere that in an interview for Austrian TV, he stated that he deliberately saved the longest freefall record for Kittinger. I wish that were true, what a truly great way it would be to honour that man, all his help with the Stratos mission and his remarkable achievement over 50 years ago.

So you're not going to be able to claim this on insurance presumably? Are you going to look for the guy who caused this, have you reported it to the police? Do you remember what car it was?

What am I missing? Read through the thread and it just ended, thought he was going to get pwned or something.

Cheers. Not planning on doing anything drastic, just need to find something new that works as you say. Happy to hear some confirmation for what I've been told by the doctor. It's making more and more sense, yesterday's condition was definitely induced by a stressor, today I started feeling dizzy and unpleasant after getting really pissed off standing for half an hour in a traffic jam, trying to negotiate a marathon. Looking through various activities, wondering if getting a punching bag wouldn't be a good idea. MA doesn't seem to help me feel any better, if anything I've noticed recently that it makes me feel worse. But that's because we spar a lot, whereas if I were to just practice techniques at home, it could be a good way of venting.

I love a live feed note that appeared on one of the major news portals over here "Unofficial news from Roswell: Felix might have broken the speed of light" I also love Red Bull for the entertainment it offered today. So tomorrow I'm going to buy a can of Red Bull.

Just come back from hospital where I had my blood pressure checked. It appeared normal and the doctor proceeded to talk to me about why I might be feeling bad (slightly dizzy, weak, changes in awareness). His consensus was prolonged exposure to stress, but not the type where someone annoys you or something inconvenient happens, but long time exposure that has time to sink in. I don't feel that way, but the way this guy read me as I walked into his office was so unsettlingly accurate, I'm willing to think this over (pretty sure he was a psychologist). He said that stress generates adrenaline and the reason one can feel the way I do is because there is adrenaline in my veins which isn't being disposed of by physical activity. I told him I ride trials, do martial arts and motorsports but he seemed to think that this is not going to be a cure since all these sports generate adrenaline in the process. I was told to take up jogging or running as a form of relieving stress and just practice until I'm too tired to move. Has anyone got any experience with the above and can confirm or deny this train of thought?

7776 engagement points if you run a King and a 108 freewheel. If you installed a freewheel on the hub too, you'd get 839808 engagement points. But only the best of riders know about this.

I've been using the HS11 (pretty much the same thing) as my front brake for about a year now. It's ok but it feels much less responsive than my older HS33, lever is pretty spongy, it's a pig to bleed and after 1 year of running Phluid it's developed lazy pistons and all together it feels awful. Meanwhile, the HS33 is going strong into it's 3rd year. So on balance it's nothing more than adequate. edit: To be honest, for the first time ever the Echo brake seems to be a better solution than the Maggie, especially as leaks have been pretty much sorted out this year.

Nah, those are all OEM BMW wheels. Thought JD's wheels were OEM but on second guess they don't look like it.

You could always use a spacer? ET38 sounds more like 1 or 3 series. You might find this of use: http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/

If it's locked up then a pawl has broken.

No 24" in the near future folks.

I know, handlebars are a pretty radical place to have your brake levers. Us foreigners like it though because it's different. edit: are those Because/Neon rims?

6:16 was an absolute mind f**k.

Is There A Way To Identify The Age Of A Chris King Hub?
Greetings replied to Blake's topic in Trials Chat
I think King have a reference chart on their website which shows what improvements were made in which years and how the serial number changed. I'd love to find out the age of mine, unfortunately I changed the shell a few years ago. -
Unless these chains fail after many months of abuse, you're still doing something wrong. It is possible to join them correctly and not have them snap prematurely even using the cheapest and most basic of chain tools. So if you still have a problem with linking chains, you are not doing it right. My last chain snap occured in 2002 I think and I've never used a split link. I also ran a KHE chain for 3 years on about 6 different bikes. Possible? Yes.
-
You're doing it wrong then. Even with the most basic chain tool you can join up a difficult chain like the K810 without any problems. The key is to push the pin in straight and when it rests against the outer plate of the link, don't push it through just yet but remove the chain from the tool and give it a nice waggling in all directions. You need to observe the link when pushing the pin through it, it must not bend. If you force it through, tiny cracks appear that are visible under a magnifying glass.

Got to love Ryan. Even if he had a 2013 calendar printed on his shirt, it would still look like he's riding in the 90's.

Rally sprint practice over, car gave a bit of trouble but nothing major. Fastest by a long shot though that was not surprising considering there weren't any other M3's out there. At the back of my head I still have a fear of something going wrong so couldn't really enjoy myself although there were a few places on the special stage where I'd go full banana and just ignore the car. There was a very major knock from the rear axle which I think was actually the battery. Either way it's completely failed, the only way to start the car today was to give it a push. Jump leads were absolutely useless. Presumably the battery must have failed mechanically due to severe shock. Lots of clips, both on board and stationary to come.

White stuff came out.

There are two versions, the Street Trial and the Street are completely different. The latter with normal 400mm forks has severe bb drop. They've been available for a good few months now. edit: Street Trial with bb is 2060g

Sounds good then. Just need to get some light tyres and I can start building it up. Probably going to go with the Echo, do a double maggie setup and take as many parts as possible from my stock. I've got Bonz carbon bars, they're fairly flat so a 165x30 stem should do? I used to ride a 150x35 stem on my Echo SL and found it really nice, now on a 138x25 due to having a much taller headset. Do you have a pic of your bike? Also is it possible to get butted spokes for 24" wheels? My stock weighs under 8kg, I won't mind a slightly heavier bike but wouldn't want it to exceed 8.7kg purely from the psychological point of view.
-
Nah, it does actually. Just the kind of reply I'm looking for. I had a brief go on a custom 24" Echo that I built for a customer last year and it was fantastic, probably because I specced it to my preferences. Much much nicer than the full builds. However, I didn't ride it long enough to actually find out what riding a 24" bike is really like. The only reason I'm considering the Echo is because of what you pointed out about the BB. It's going to feel very similar to a +55 stock. Would you say that the 24" is as easy to tap as a 26"? I'm guessing it could be a bit easier to hook, what about frenchies and front wheel moves in general?
