They're going to be difficult to find, it seems they were a bit more popular than Born expected. As a Born dealer, I've been trying to get hold of these on and off for over half a year now but to no avail.

Prawn And Frenchmans July Nurburgring Trip Report
Greetings replied to Prawny Baby's topic in Chit Chat
Fantastic write up. I was kind of hoping to see some pics of you guys with Bill. Wanted to see what the generous chap looks like. Glad you're ok, first news of this incident sounded pretty nasty (well, Jardo just posted a pic of you going sideways) but from that video it seems you handled it well, definitely more skill than luck involved. Could have been so so much worse. Also really interesting about the seat mounts tearing off, this is something I've always worried about in my track cars. The side mounts just don't look strong enough. With hindsight, would you class this as a worthwhile experience? I hope you know what I mean. Also any plans regarding safety gear for that car in the future? I asked in the car thread if you were wearing a hans device, do you plan to buy one now? -
I think this is a repost from a few years back, either way just watch it.

Teenage Angst Communal Agony Aunt Thread
Greetings replied to Has anyone seen my shoe?'s topic in Chit Chat
Well, because JD did it, so shall I. I've managed to find the perfect girl a few months ago (the bad kisser I posted about a few pages back). She's fine in that department now, like you guys said it just took some time. Happily in love after almost 3 years of being single. Hope this relationship lasts, she really is absolutely epic. -
My friend who competes in the worlds' broke a few, I've been running one since roughly mid last year and it's fine but then I'm a smooth rider. Echo titanium is definitely not as strong as you might expect it to be but it's fine if you don't go big.

Someone over here has decided to sell his BMW X3. Here are some pics from the auction. No link since much of the genius stems from captions under the pics and those are in polish. Anyway.

Looking good, are you hanging on to the 1.8 motor? Is it a twin cam? Also can't believe someone paid Prawn's bill, sounds a bit fishy but who knows. Americans can be extremely generous.

A few pics. Very little left to do, oil cooler will be in tomorrow which was the only thing stopping the car from going out on it's maiden test drive. Spacers, could be a tad too wide, should be ok with some negative camber, at the moment the wheel is pretty much vertical.

Hopefully after the photo shoot

Longest Lasting Headphones For Trials You've Ever Had?
Greetings replied to Dave Sutton's topic in Chit Chat
Sony. Don't know what model, it doesn't say Had them for 7 years at least. -
Meh, that car is just starting to look good now. Track cars need to be tatty otherwise they look like they haven't been used.

Either you're a novice rider in which case I can kind of understand why you think sus forks are an advantage or there is some truth in what you're saying, in which case we might see the Cousts and other pros ride Marzocchi Monster T forks in the worlds next year. I'm really surprised at some of these comments about Ryan, especially coming from riders like Dave or Mark. In my mind he's an absolute legend and just because he hasn't gone mainstream with his riding and progressed in the direction trials is going doesn't diminish his accomplishments. You can disagree with me on this one but I think his manifesto riding style is a unique creation, one that can be very fun to try and execute. I actually tried to implement this riding style myself for a few months years back when I first saw that video and it benefited my riding enormously. As for Jeff, I find his riding a bit too detached from what trials actually is. He's more of a street rider who will occasionally do something static, at least that what he's been doing in the past decade. He might have started out as a pro trials rider but I don't consider him one any more.

Perhaps let the man speak first instead of finding him a new car already Glad he's ok, that pic looks horrible. At first I thought it was just some "funny" pic found on the net. Could have ended very badly, the car is just a thing and thankfully it did a good job keeping him safe. Did he have a HANS device on him?

Reminds me of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPmt736zfT0 Is that Prawn's Audi going sideways?
-
Yeah these bikes really make you admire the people who rode trials back then. So difficult to do anything on one of these.

Might have posted this in the past, one of my riding buddies bought some clay earlier this year and just started sculpting with no experience. This is what he's doing currently click

Looking good. Hopefully the frame will be black?

Strange, never heard of that to be honest. The camshafts are chain driven, as in almost every bimmer. I'm rather surprised that fails, one would have thought that it's a lifetime solution. My engine is at about 300k miles now, there's some concern regarding chain stretch which could be causing the engine to run slightly unevenly at low revs but that's about it. As for the price of diesels yes, they are more expensive. But if the budget is 4 grand then you're probably looking at early 00' cars where the difference between diesel and petrol fuel economy is greater? A 320d returns about 55mpg when driven calmly, a 320i will probably struggle to get 35mpg.

You must care if this is your second post in this thread?

Isn't it a bit late to be releasing a 2012 model?
-
He wouldn't. PayPal buyer protection is a load of nonsense anyway, got ripped off twice. If someone wants to scam you they'll manage anyway.
-
It probably will, I'd recommend you get a file and remove some of the metal. This is not a structural element of the frame. If the frame is still under warranty and you're concerned about losing it ask your retailer if it's ok to file this bit down.

Yeah, I think the reason Echo discontinued the Urban rims was that they were too similar to TR's from a practical viewpoint.
