May I disagree? Perhaps the stiffness sideways will be slightly worse but the overall stability of the rim should be a lot better. It means the rim gets more support throughout it's width rather than just being held together in the middle.
-
Well if the TR is only 44m wide, perhaps you should look at something like this
-
Perhaps you're fat an amazing rider?

That's exactly what I've been doing. There's definitely air in the system, 5mm of play in the lever before the pads start to move. I gave it a bath bleed and it's now fine but I'd rather run Phluid than tap water. I agree it's a powerful brake, maybe even more powerful than the old HS33.
-
I'm not a retard when it comes to bike maintenance. I've tried all combinations I could think of to get the air out, all positions of the lever including doing everything as instructed but to no avail. It seems like a cool system for bleeding but when you think that the previous Maguras could be filled up and bled in about 60 seconds using the two syringe method then the current system sounds like a huge step in the wrong direction. I was merely wondering if someone on here had a similar problem and finally solved it.

Been doing that and no air comes out :/ Just gave it a bath bleed and it's now perfect, not that I want to run it on tap water.

Ok this is starting to seriously piss me off. Magura have made sure in the owners manual that we all know the new brakes are equipped with EBT (EASY bleed technology). I say it's f**king rubbish. I've tried bleeding my HS11 countless times now doing everything exactly according to the handbook and there's still at least 5mm of play in the lever meaning huge amounts of air in the system. Has anyone successfully bled one of these brakes? I'm close to giving it a bath bleed but would prefer to avoid that.

Exactly my thoughts when reading the OP. It's so strange that we cannot access certain areas of our planet due to some water. This is worth watching:

Pretty sure they're old cousts.

In my opinion that's the reason why clubs are scarce. You don't really need a bike trials club to ride. Sure it could help if you were a beginner but most beginners cope well with getting into the sport anyway. Another thing is that riders who are old enough to actually start a club probably couldn't be bothered with all the paper work and organisation involved. Lets face it, the majority of riders are young and the older ones treat trials more as a hobby rather than a mild form of profession.

Magura sure have a weird bleeding system for their new rim brakes. Not quite sure what to think of it.
-
Do you think this is a good idea? I wouldn't want my friends to know about every vid I upload there. *insert perverted door fetish joke here*

Not sure if anyone's played ME3, finished it a few hours ago and bumped into this which made me laugh. Such a reaction must be an all time first.

I'm going to say Ozonys and Bonz. Big fan of their parts at the moment. They all seem to have this quality feel to them that you just don't get from Asian brands. Mind you, Trialtech has that feel too but the biggest downfall for TT in my opinion are the wheels. I want hubs with wide flanges, rims with proper spoke offset to make a nice fat and stiff wheel. Plus Bonz stuff is generally really light and holds up quite well.

Yeah, lots of backsweep and not much upsweep.

Personally I love tyres with a stripe - preferably a white one. They remind me of the good old days. Got these tyres back in 2007 and have been using them since for taking pictures of various cleaner builds. Here's one. Slightly over exposed I know. Got a shit camera.

Really good episode that. All in all a very good series if you take out the sweeney nonsense.

No more than twice a year.

I've seen some good trials videos in my life but this is just something else.

I think none of us can judge this case since we all have care-free lives compared to what might be going on with these kids and their families in Uganda. I can't begin to imagine what it must be like but I'm pretty sure I'd want Kony dead.

If it were just the subject of the thread I was answering to, I'd say about 10 minutes. Sometimes less. Sorry for the useless post, I'm bored.

Define "massive bar". I've undone freewheels countless times and using a 1.2m propshaft has never let me down. I don't even remember ever having to force it.
-
Really? REALLY? edited on second thought.

Anyone find instrumental "film music" really really annoying? As in uplifting / sad / dramatic themes? Not really sure of the terminology. I'm f**king fed up with it, recently tried to watch LOTR and just couldn't get through it for this reason. It's not the only movie that I can't stand for the silly music, don't seem to recall other examples at this moment. It just seems so cheap and gay. It's as though the filmmakers have failed to create a certain atmosphere using the plot / image / dialogue and have to resort to stupid music. /rant
