  1. Anyone fancy Sheffield on Monday
  2. I was a vee whore for a fair while; avid calipers suck the pin that sits in the mount deform and eventually fall out. . Some of the cheaper calipers are very decent I'm using some clarks/bikehut brand vee calipers and they're fine and have dealt with my 14 stone heft fine.. performance is reliant on cable maintenance and quality of pads more than anything. As already said sd7 levers are great!
  3. Just try them... I found the tnn lgv pads to be siiiiiick if you have no luck with the reds
  4. Pay day tonight. Super shwag build is almost there
  5. true story josh's chuckle is amazing. all power to the jaf man

True that. One should never underestimate the leverage power of biscuits.
  7. hard to say, stocks offer more leverage, mods are flickier, i ride both, i use my mod more, i feel my riding looks better on it too, but if i go out on the stock i can make everything i do on the mod and it feels like it takes less effort, plus stocks tend to be a bit more confidence inspiring due to the extra wheel, i started a similar thread a while back...
  8. no karl, your beefiness is to great. dont do it to yourself.

On a train; theres a lady whos so fat she's sweating cause she's stood up. f**king vile.
  10. Boo hiss. Get some diet advice while your in hospital pal. Or the injury will have so much more impact
  11. Longer cranks are beneficial on a stock. But not critical.
  12. haha no dez's are... your in for a sucky few weeks mate but with some luck you'll be able to enjoy a bit of the summer provided theres no ligament damage... bones are pretty remarkable haha
  13. I dont beleive the brake thing.. its more you can get away with discs on a mod due to the smaller wheel. Rim brakes are better on a stock cause you need a huge disc to match up the size difference. And they feel flexy as balls cause of their size...
  14. Hey I picked up a hifi last year and I ride it as well as my mod despite only using it occasionally and my mod being my main bike.. I rode stock for ages before going to mod but I feel I ride the mod with more style and I progressed on it massively. Oh and to weigh in in weight weenies the mod is a kilo and a half lighter than the stock and I can power the stock as happily as the mod... discussion go! And no cause stocks are ace posts please
  15. They feel dead bouncy. The grip is actually very good. And they roll really well... im guna bald a creepy crawler I acquired a few weeks ago.. my mates standard monty tyre that had been balded felt amaze balls...
  16. Back is better. Might have a new job that will make my life 100000000000000000x better.

    back pain

Had a little play on the stock last night. Ended up riding for a good hour with no noticeable discomfort. Had some over bar height powerhops and kepy riding rear wheel intensive lines for long stints. Felt fine when I got home. And fine this morning. .. what stretches should we be doing for trials? A health sticky should be made...

i've riden the because enough times and it's been fine, and i've been able to push it as much as the echo before it. going for a higher front end would nulify the perks of the extra bb rise surely?

    back pain

my thinking was that if it happened while doing trials there's a fair chance someone else who rides done it too, and they might be able to offer some more reslevant and direct advice. i've put the bikes down, and untill i'm confident with my range of mobility, they're staying down. after 3 days it really doesn't feel doctor worthy either...

    back pain

Hey yall I put my back out on Saturday when riding doing some minor moves. I'd already made a few large (for me) moves so I don't think it was a case of not warming up. I'm still experiencing discomfort and difficulty when moving although its reduced since Saturday I'm wary of doing it again or not allowing it to heal up. Doea anyone have any experience or advice they can share? Its lower back pain. Its not thay "getting into riding trials" ache we've all been through. And I'd consider myself in good shape.
  23. Where is the next one? Devastated that I missed it yesterday
