hifis actually ride pretty nicely with a modern bar and stem set up; their geo isn't dissimilar to modern frames...

after a very lazy summer i'm starting to get back into shape. road cycling is the shit.

don't go disk on a 26" get a decent magura or vee set up and learn to maintain that sucker. rear disks are for 20"

trials is making my shoulder injury hurt i've not been motivated to ride for a while. boohoo.

trial tech bars suck for this. carrera stock roady bars however...

use new washers on the calipers as well, as it makes setting up a brake much easier, and will prevent your calipers from being out of line and wearing your pads funny. keeping your wheels true and ensuring the spokes are all kept to a good tension will extend the life of your wheel; it gets easier to do it and it's a handy skill.

unless you crave streety riding, teg a decent tgs machine and learn to ride trials solidly, then transfer to a streetier machine if you feel the need, it's harder to learn real trials on a 'streety' bike and it's not as easy as a bmx to ride street on. not that you can't, but i prefer to have the right bike for the task..
