    The Angry Thread.

    cracked a hope calliper
  4. shin digs are the number one issue, won't find a seasoned rider without them. my right shin has scars covering nearly the whole length of it now... i broke my ankle but that was on a half pipe on a trials bike... every other injury on here seems to be unique and not consistent with trials...

    Steady decline

everyone fell out on the internet. trials is still going, i've been treated to a group ride nearly every weekend for the last 3 months... but the lack of brands leaves very little up to debate anymore.
  7. Shitting with a leg cast = nightmare
  8. Just to weigh in a little late. Im quite a large rider. Fully clothed im the best part of 15 stone and a similar build to you andee. Not to get at you but im confident my tgs numbers match or beat your own. Im running a kool chain. I replace it every 12 weeks. Or before a significant ride somewhere new. I also bought a high end chain tool. Which os probably the most significant factor in my lack of chain snaps... drop proper money on a hefty chain tool like a fat spanner or park tool. Ideally one with an adjustable end... and you'll avoid a lot of problems. The tank chain is tough. But its stiff and makes your whole drive train feel sluggish. ..
  9. I need to see someone gap big to front and honestly tell me ot feels the same before I beleive that... I imagine itll twist and shit
  10. Build em yourself. You will understand how to true and maintain your wheels better that way. There is a good guide on here. Take your time. It gets easier the more you do
  11. Its an interesting idea with some merit but surely the lateral forces will rip it to bits. Think about big gaps where you preload and land sideways. Even though the hub is beefy. I imagine it will twist to much to be any good for serious riding. Or the stays will be so hefty that they weigh more than a standard set of tubing on a regular frame... I love the look of it and respect the effort that has gone in to it too . I'd love to be proven wrong though

    Injury Advice

Thought id post in here about my ankle. I broke it 6months ago and I found very little information that helped me. So if you've broken your leg and your all sad about it read up... I started training in the gym in September. Riding lightly for a month or so as I got back I to shape. I let my leg dictate. If it felt wrong I stopped... I try not to use it as an excuse and id consider my riding to be a decent level again. .. so eat right. Don't drink or smoke and you'll be rete...
  13. Pm me for contact stuff. Or get ne on faceboook... matthew ogley.... parking is free. Ridingis good turn out should be delightful
  14. Some trimming will be necessary. Bars can be to wide. Lock on grips and some fannying around with set ups is the best way as you can carefully pin in where the grips should be before you comit to cutting them. Around/just over shoulder width is the way to go usually...

    Stan Titanium

Any idea how tough the bb bolts are? My misuses dads an engineer and he recons it's not the best application for ti.. but they seem fine. I'd be sad if I ruined them though
  16. five tens shoes and v8s, or some nice wide platform pedals, superstar components offer some very decent value ones... avoid hard compound tyres too...
  17. Mobile embeds for me? Awesome sausome
  18. Rubber queen super springy if it doesn't have the inserts

    Stan Titanium

Love my stans bb bolts. Its ace being able to finally use the 10mm alen key I've been carrying around for years...
  20. smaller wheels are marginally flicker than their larger counterparts, but i was never any good at streety riding, but if you consider rotational mass a smaller wheel will create less resistance than a bigger wheel, so spins and shit are probably easier. i remember ali c saying he was just to used to 26" to get on with a 24" so if your well into a certain wheel size it might be worth sticking with what you know...
  21. if you don't break the bars by the end of summer, i'm getting them for all my machines. your a beast hahah
